There is no almost about it, they ARE a blessing. But I am not sure what your question is - are you asking if it matters if you use the same amount of Flex Points each day, or are you wondering if using them at all makes a difference?
My personal experience with them has been that I can get by with using all 35 of them in a week and still lose, provided I exercise a normal amount that week as well. If I don't, I won't lose eating the 35. I can eat between 20-25 and have minimal (to no) exercise I see a small loss. I do not necessarily see a larger loss if I eat none of them, so I might as well make a dent in them, huh? I have also learned, though, that eating all 35 of them for multiple weeks in a row doesn't do me much good. So I strike a balance between each of these things.
I think the key thing with FPs is that you really ought to play around with them a bit. Have a certain amount in a week, see how you do. Try something new the next week. Something new the one after that. See if you can determine any patterns in your eating and your exercise and your losses, and eventually you'll figure out what your body can handle and what makes WW most comfortable for you!
