Does anyone want to share what you're going to have in the house for Halloween trick or treaters? As far as I'm concerned, Halloween marks the official start of the holidays--it's really fun, but can start an eating binge I'd rather do without. We get about 120 children each year at the door and I usually buy mini candies and use a lot of self-control. I think I better do something different this year. What do you do?
Last year I got the suggestion on one of these boards to pass out canned drinks. I haven't done it yet for two reasons: 1) I was new to the neighborhood last year and didn't know how many T-or-T'ers to expect and 2) the cost. I thought it sounded like a great idea though since everyone is probably hot and tired walking around so much. Anyone got a good low cost suggestion besides water? Don't know how diet drinks would go over with kids... maybe Crystal Lite in bottles? Do they make orange? Maybe the closeout store has something appealing?
Wendy's has coupon books. You get 10 Jr Frosty coupons for a buck. I bought 5 books and will buy a bag of candy I don't like that afternoon for just in case. If I don't need the candy, back to the store it goes!!!
