  • Hi Everyone,

I wanted to list my New Year's Resolutions here so I can come back and get a reality check once in a while and keep myself on track.

    1) Love myself and know I matter and I have to take care and be good to myself and then I can help others.

    2) Understand that saying NO is not a bad thing.

    3) Rejoin WW

    4) Post at 3FC every week!!!

    5) Exercise of some kind-even if it's parking in the space furthest from the building and walking.

    6) Work on being debt free. My grandfather said if you don't have the money to buy it you don't need it. If you want something bad enough save up and then buy it. He was soooo right! Why didn't I listen

    Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Happy New Year to you too as well as all the NightOwls!

    Love,
    Freddie
  • I like your New Year's resolution about posting once a week. I will try to do that too, but I usually try not to make resolutions -- especially about how much weight I will lose -- because I end up not keeping them.

    Love,
    Freddie
  • Hi Freddie,

I know what you mean. I am not setting number goals. I just made a resolution to rejoin WW and I am going to take it one pound at a time!

    Have a great evening!

I miss you too! I am so glad you are posting here. I lost all my email addresses. I got your IM the other night but I was upstairs and when I came back down you had logged off. Please email me your address and the other gals as well.

    Happy New Year!

  • Hi all! I figured that I would join you ladies and gents in the WW night owl area since I am looking for support and all. My New Year's resolution is to lose 5-10 pounds a month until I hit my goal. I have 104 pounds to lose. I hope to get it done all this year, but only time will tell.

    Thanks for listening.
    Kimberly
  • Hi Kimberly:

Do it while you are young!!! I am 81 and have been on diets since I was in my twenties. It was easy then but got harder as I got older.

    Freddie
  • Hi Kimberly and Welcome!!!!

Sounds like you have a plan. I have over 100 to loose as well and I decided I just have to take it one pound at a time.

Freddie-I know what you mean. I am 38 and I want to be thin before I am 40. I did not realize you were 81 years young! You go girl! You are amazing.

Ok, other owls, where did you go?

Hope everyone has a great day!

  • Hey B,

I wondered if that was you! I will try to call you tomorrow.

    Love and miss ya!

    Setina
  • Thank you Setina and Freddie for the well wishing. I have eaten within my point range for day one. I am feeling very overwhelmed though because I have so much weight to lose. But I am going to try and take it hour by hour and day by day. Best of luck to everyone. Thanks again
  • I need your help...I want to join WW Online. I belonged to it in the mid 80's and did quite well, but I turned around and somebody hit me with a fat stick!! I am sick of this weight and am ready to peal it off!!! May I hang out with y'all??
  • Hi Owls,

Kimberly-You can do it and you will do it! Just take it one pound at a time. I have a lot more than you to loose and I did it once and gained it back (I lost 130 pounds). I know it can be done and I learned a lot of hard lessons that I think will make me successful this time.

Shadow-Welcome! I got hit with that same fat stick! We would love to have you hang out.

I have still been fighting the yuck. My throat is finally feeling a little better and I am tired of bed rest. I am hoping tomorrow I will feel like putting all of my holiday decorations away.

Hope you have a great evening and keep posting! Let's get the own nest rocking again!!!

    Hugs

  • Quote from interview with Kirstie Alley/People December 6th, 2004:

What have you learned from this whole experience? I've learned a couple of things; the most important thing is you can either create a beautiful life or you can be a victim. Here I am, I sort of stumbled into being fat. I'm not saying I'm totally responsible, but I sort of wasn't paying attention. I can either be the victim of being fat, or I can say, "Okay, so you're fat, what are you going to do? I just thought you don't stop living, you keep living and create with what you've got. I created myself into this fat thing, I'll create myself out of it."
