Maggie -- maybe we could do a weekly weigh in thread -- Like "Weigh Ins 7/16-7/22". Then everyone could record their weight whenever they weigh in during that week and we could all hop in with our congratulatibns.

I am so happy for all of you -- you did an awesome job!! Lori, please don't feel bad. You did a great job with your menus and exercise this week and just cause that $%## scale doesn't know that doesn't make a bit of difference. I definitely have a pattern (and because I'm compulsive I track it very well!!) and I stay the same for about 10-12 days, then go down a pound (sometimes put it back on for a day which stinks) and then will drop 2-4 pounds. When I take my total loss/total # of weeks I lose about 1.5# a week. And I can live with that. Just be proud that you had a good week!

Red face

Bev, I know what you mean about the pattern! I am starting to see one as well. Not sure why I started doing WIs everyday against all the articles not to, but I am very glad I did. It really keeps me into the habit and it keeps me aware. By getting on the scale first thing in the morning, it sets the reminder for the rest of the day. Is it accurate? Can I say, "I lost 2 pounds last night"? No, but the average of the week is important to me. It is also important to me that I saw how much it can vary from day to day. This week I have been back and forth from 167 to 169 to 167 to 169, for no "real" reason. Before, though, if I had weighed in at 167 and then next week 169, I would have been so crushed!

So, my weigh-ins for my week: 169 169 167 169 167 167 169
Average: 168.143
Average last week: 173 (TOM)
Difference between averages: 4.857

When I was doing it one my own I'd weigh myself everyday but only count Monday's as my "official" weigh in.I know you can become obessed with weighing. I knew I was when my 2 year old stepped on the scale and said "So Many Pounds Mommy". At that time I'd weigh myself everytime I was in the bathroom. So I went to only weighing in I was alone first thing in the morning. Like you Hippo it kept me on track.
