Hi everyone! Just checking in before bed.

I lost .4 lbs. Not much - but better than a gain. I'm working harder this week.

We have been really busy with work and I have not had much time to chat. Hope everyone is doing well?

Have a good Memorial Day weekend!

Joyce

Goodmorning All

So happy it's Friday. What a week I've had between work & the situation with my sister had me really stressed out.

Joyce, .4 is good. I asked a woman at my job, will she count points for the rest of her life & she said no. She lost 12 pounds very fast & it takes me forever. She joined just to lose a couple of pounds. How much do you have to lose? I lost 7 & gained 2 this week. I wasn't journalling which is a BIG mistake.

Myra, how much to you have to lose?

I find this program very easy to follow but you have to stick to it. I find that once I'm at 170 it's very hard for me to go lower than that. I eat 27 pts. Any less I feel hungry. I'm going to try harder this week. 25 to 27 pts. & the treadmill for 1 hr. 6 days this week & lots of water, a little less carbs.

Dentist today

Have a great day everybody

Hi my buddies

Been really busy so its been hard to get here. Unfortunately, I can only say hi cause I have to get back to work. Good luck everyone with your losses and determination this week and especially this weekend!

Hubby and I are leaving tomorrow morning for the Catskills. Will be a rainy weekend, but a weekend for just the two of us -- I'm sure we'll find something to do

Have a great one, everyone and God Bless America and our Veterans!

Terri, it's so sad to hear of little ones suffering; my prayers go out to Adam's family. Now you're starting the summer with your kids.....have fun. I used to love it when mine were home for the summers.

Dianne, have a wonderful weekend w/your husband. The way you write is so funny, love the devilish thought!

Myra, I'm glad you didn't have to move. I don't blame you for wanting control over when it does happen. Go for the Catskills, it'll make you happy and at peace if it's what you really want.

Joyce, hang in there. Some weeks will be more difficult than others, any loss is great!

Essie, have I read that increasing protein will help stave off hunger? I find that if I stay at the middle range of my points (I'm at 24-29) I don't get too hungry. Of course I NEVER get hungry if I drink all my H2O......always comes down to that, doesn't it? Good luck at the dentist.

We had a big scare last night....Matthew, who's 11 months today, was playing on Brandon's little rocking chair, and fell, hitting the back of his head. He is fine, but has a soft spot on his skull. Jess rushed him to the E.R., they did a ct scan, and his skull is fractured. Jess is beside herself. Matthew will be fine, the neurologist said there is only fluid on the outside of the skull, no damage inside the skull. We can expect it to take 6 weeks to heal. The poor little thing....Jess says he's absolutely fine, acts as tho nothing's wrong. She can't stop crying; she was right there when it happened, he's a climber, yet she couldn't grab him to stop the fall in time. Thank God it appears he'll be okay.

I told them I'd take Brandon for a couple of days, they'll be dropping him off later this morning.

This week our weather has been rotten....cold and rainy. I've got to get out a take a walk, haven't done so all week.

I hope everyone has a great long holiday weekend. Enjoy!

Hi

Terri, so sad about Adam I couldn't even imagine losing a child. The family will need lots of prayers.

Dianne, I would love to go to the Catskills. I went when I was very young & I remember it was beautiful.
Have a great time.

Jen, it's true that protein fills you up. I couldn't eat protein all day long. I'm just going to cut back alittle on carbs. I eat way too much carbs. The same thing that happened to Matthew happened to my coworker's grandddaughter. She's 2 yrs. old. Her Dad was holding her she moved too quickly & fell out of her father's arms. He's 6 ft. tall. Her skull was fractured. They have to keep a close watch on her activities for 2 yrs. !!!! Poor Matthew At least you know he's going to be okay.

The dentist went well. I prayed ALOT!!! He said, he'll see me in 6 mths. I was sooooo happy to hear that.

Well, Pete's waiting for me to go watch a movie with him. I give him 10 minutes & he'll be nodding out!!! He always denies it. It so funny cause I see him with his mouth open, snoring & he'll say "I was not" I'm going to take a picture one of these days.

Have a good evening everyone

Love,
Essie

I have about 50 lbs. to lose. YIKES! Can't think about it though. Too overwhelming. That is why I like the fact WW rewards every five lb. loss. Small chunks are easier to visualize. I try to be content with any loss at all and even quarter lbs. eventually add up, right?

Default Friday Evening

Hi ladies

Hope everyone is doing well today. I have been so good with my eating, staying within my points now for 11 days. Today is day #12 and I was SO bad. Since my birthday is tomorrow, the people at work had gifts and food......there were donuts (glazed) in the morning...(you know those things are like air, you can eat 5 without being full!!!!!!!!!!). Then out to lunch with a few people.....patty melt and fries, shared a piece of chocolate cake.....carrot cake in the afternoon because someone brought it.....(hey, it's a veggie, right?????? )
Then tonight, we went out for dinner and I had a sliced B-B-Q sandwich with onion rings. Am I nuts or what??!!?? And this morning, I had gone down another few pounds....(unofficially since I weigh on Mondays). Anyway, tomorrow is another day. We're going out for dinner but I will NOT eat all day like today. I feel like I can do what I did and get back on track tomorrow.

I hope the rest of you are having a better time of it today. Have a wonderful weekend.

Myra, don't fret about the total of 50. Small and consistent is the way to go. I know you can do it!

Essie, thank you! You made me feel at ease about my "Matty-Matt"....his doctors said the same today. The pediatrician and the ear, nose, and throat specialist both said it'll heal, just keep an eye on it. He is such an exuberant, loving baby. It really freaked me out; a close friend of mine put it in perspective....she said now we don't have to worry about telling him to be careful, that "he'll crack his head open" cause he's already done it! I know it sounds heartless, but I have a finely honed sense of humor.
And,hey, you did great w/the dentist! You're obviously doing something right!!

Zoe/Patti........HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! Don't worry about what you eat, you will never do the damage you imagine

I'll try to catch up w/everyone else tomorrow.

~Jen

Hi everyone. I started a #56 about a half hour before you Essie. Noone got on it and thought I was being ignored. Myra and I started ours minutes apart.

Congrats Joyce. A loss is a loss.

Essie,
I am glad the dentist went ok. How are things with your sister? Hope better. I am praying for her and her family.
Sounds like you have a plan about the weight loss. Good luck.
What movie did you see? We are seeing Shrek tomorrow. Then we will see Pearl Harbor Sunda. Just Bruce and I.
Tape your hubby. he won't believe it is him.

Dianne,
You little Devil. Hope you had a great time.

Myra,
You can do it! I know it is hard.

Patti,
Don't worry. I hope you have a wonderful birthday tomorrow.

Oh Jen,
That is awful about Matthew. I am so glad it wasn't to bad. Hang in there. What a scare. Keep us posted.
Poor grandma. I hate when little ones get hurt.

Thanks everyone for thinking of little Adam. I felt like I knew him. The power of the internet. WOW!

I have been bad the last 2 days. With the kids getting out of school it was rough. But I am back now. I do not feel good when I overeat. I am glad to be op again.

Have a great weekend!
Terri

Happy Birthday Patti!!! I think just about everybody goes off on their birthday. Enjoy your special day.

Myra, you're right about ww rewarding us for every 5 lbs. That helps us thru our struggle. You'll get there. It took my cousin 1 yr. to lose 40 lbs. & she was very happy with that. She looks great.

Terri, I know what happened with #56. When I check my email it shows me there is a reply on our thread so I just copy & paste the address & it takes me to the last reply. I know now to double check before I start another one. No biggie right? Us ignore you? Never!!! My sister has mood swings along with all her other problems. Last time I spoke with her she was much better. When she has to go to court I'm going with her for support. There's no date yet. She's always been the one in the family with alot of problems.
At 53 yrs. old you would think she would have a whole different outlook on life. The ones who suffer are her children & that breaks my heart. Thanks for asking. How's Brittany?

We want to see Pearl Harbor this weekend. The movies is probably going to be packed cause of the dreary weather. We're going Monday. We watched a video last night called Vertical Limit. It was pretty good. Pete was fighting to stay up but he nodded here & there. I left him alone cause I knew he was tired. Gotta get that camera ready My SIL is taking her kids today to see Shrek.

Jen, kids heal quickly. Hugs & kisses to Matthew. A BIG HUG for Grandma for all her worrying

Hi, Joyce & Dianne(hope you have a great time Upstate)

Happy Memorial Day Everybody!!!

Essie

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the good words about Matt.

Let me know how Pearl Harbor is, Essie. We want to go see that.

Tonight we're going out for my bday dinner w/my bro. and sil. The 4 of us do so for each of our bdays. I chose Mexican (of course!) and will try to be good, am thinking of having fajitas, they'll do the least harm. Or course it's the margaritas I should really worry about!

I had a good moment this morning....was looking thru my closet for something to wear tonight (I'm wardrobe challenged!), came across a pair of great black slacks I'd forgotten I had. They're the really smooth, no seams, side zipper style. Tried them on w/a dressy fitted black tshirt, and it looks great! Usually I tend to throw on looser styles, Joe is always tellingme to wear my clothes tighter. Anyhow, it was a wonderful feeling to like what I saw in the mirror.

Terri, too funny about thinking you were being ignored! I've got to admit, I logged on that morning, read all of the new threads that were started and didn't post! I didn't want to offend anyone by chosing one over the other. So I just waited a couple of hours till it got straightened out! Just look at it as great minds thinking alike.

Myra, Joyce, Dianne, Zoe, Anita, hi to all!

Have a great Memorial Day weekend.

~Jen

Patti:
Happy Birthday To You
Happy Birthday To You
Happy Birthday To Patti/Zoe
Happy Birthday To You!
Have a great one! I'll be thinking about you!
What are your plans for the day?

Essie,
I was just soshing. I know it was a silly mess up. I might have messed up. All the times are different on there. I can't tell who did what when.

I always have a camera ready. It is so funny. My husband fell asleep in Brittany's bed last week because we were watching a movie in our room and when I went to tell him it was over he had his arms around her big dalmation dog that is on her bed. All of us (giggling) ran and got the camera and he doesn't know he was doing that yet. Can't wait to develop it.
Don't you just want to grab up your sister's kids and take them? I'll bet you do. I hope she straightens out. Life is just to short. ::Praying for you::
Brittany says hi. She really likes you. She thinks you are cool. She loves when I open this site.

hehehe Jen,
I wouldn't be offended. I just always wait to see it on my e-mail and I thought "Wow this site is slow. Where is everyone?" So I came over here and wow. No problem. Have a great time and WOOOOOOOHOOOO
on the outfit. That is fantastic. There is motivation for you. MMMmmm Mexican. Lots of good choices there.

HI Myra, Dianne and Joyce
