Talking Hello to the group

Hi,

I am new to the 3FC's board and thought I'd say "Hi". I am 33 and started WW in September and I've lost about 15 pounds. I'm working on getting another star to get another 5 pound sticker. I had so much trouble losing weight in the past but I'm glad I found WW and I've had alot of success. The weight loss has been slow at about a pound a week which frustrates me at times but the WW lady said it was normal. I'm just happy to have found a safe way for me to lose weight. I was on South Beach for awhile and lost 15 pounds but it's tough b/c it limits your foods. WW's allows you to eat a variety of foods in moderation. I hope everyone has a good day.

Hi Julie! Good job on your loss - and yeah, a pound a week seems slow, but it's a good way to keep it off. I went from 256 to about 210 (give or take a few pounds) before I got pg. It was pretty slow to come off as well. The first 30 were fast, then it slowed right down.

Slow and steady wins the race! Come and join in on the daily thread (that is usually where the action is).

Julie... congrats on the 15 pounds!! That's awesome. Really, a pound a week is great. A before you know it you'll think back to how far you've come!!! Just think, if it takes you 6 months, 8 months, a year - whatever to lose the weight.... that just more time you get to really become an expert on your new way of eating.

If I had lost the weight quickly, I know it would have come right back. It took me two years.... but in that time I actually made a change in the way I did things so that it's second nature. And now I don't see how I would go back to the old ways.
