On other boards I peruse, everyone is starting a new diet, more exercise, blah, blah, blah. Always the latest diet. A SIL and her hubby are joining a gym today. About 10 miles from their home.....in Seattle traffic. I know how long that will last.
WW is the ONLY one with a documented track record (I remember when I first started working for them in 1985/6 they were already keeping records).
Everyone wants to quick fix, the magic pill. When will people realize that permanent weight loss/maintenance begins with Day One of trying to lose weight. Healthy foods and lifestyle changes (aka consistent exercise), done all along make maintenance so much easier. Same food, just more.
More snow last night, and the snow plows came by at full speed. So now my front sidewalks are covered with hard, compacted, snow. It will need the larger snow blower. I won't start until 0700 my time. It is Saturday and I will let people sleep a bit. teehee
If the stuff is too compacted for that, DH will take the ATV/snowplow after it. All of the undisturbed snow is powder, which will make the ski people happy.
Well, time for me to go fix some oatmeal for breakfast.
