Hi Kier!! It's xmas so it's hard not to have some snackies and drinkies (well, for those of us that aren't pg)...Good luck on Phase 1 again!!

I had a pretty good weekend. I did housework, got my hair fixed (it's now one length with long layers and sits nicely when down - so it'll grow out nicely!!) and we went to the Zoolights (the whole zoo is decked out in holiday lights and ice castles, etc). We ran into quite a few people we knew which is weird for a city of this size.

Sunday we printed off our engagment pics and put them in frames for the grandmothers and aunts and wrapped them for mailing, and we went for an hour long walk in the snow with the dog....then we went to my mom's house and decorated for her (I cleaned her apt while DH put up her xmas lights on her balcony, then we put up her little tree and a few decorations!). My mom is, well, not the tidiest person in the world...which drives me NUTS...so while she was occupied with the outdoor lights I saw my chance and I took it. It was much nicer when we left!!! We also got her Swiss Chalet for dinner. She was really happy!! I don't know why my sisters don't do that. She can't do the lights herself and the even setting up the tree is hard, but she wants to feel christmassy in her home...so we spend 2 hours a year helping her and it makes her happy!! It's the little things in life.

Where is everyone!!!???

Aimee -I am coming to Vancouver for New Years!! Super seat sale....we're spending four days with our friends! I hear the bars in BC don't allow smoking - that's great for a pg! the bars are GROSS here that even smokers don't like it.

OK must go to work. TTFN!

Hi all,

Just way too tired... at least I am halfway through my 6 day stiint working my second job and tomorrow won't be so bad since I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow morning which means I don't have to get up quite as early.

So I am stressed about the holidays.... I am trying to make sure dinner on the 25th is at my place (due to me working the 26th)... I hope I can.

Belle: I love the fact Ottawa has a smoking ban in bars and restaurants here.

Kirie: What did you get your hubby?

Cheers!

Ali

Ali - you're stressed food-wise or other-wise?? You sound like you're being run off your feet. Is your eye still bugging you? Good think you're off to the doc. Calgary has yet to make the bars smoke free, but the restaurants are (thank goodness).

KIER - what is your spending limit???? We have decided since we have a baby on the way and are going to Vancouver for new years that we'd spend only $50 on gifts and fill a stocking (which can easily run upwards of $100). Plus, it's DH's 30th! But for that my whole fam is buying him Future Shop gift certs so he can pick out a stereo. He wants a really good one! He'll be pleased as punch...

We also drew names in the fam (one round with my mom and fam, one wiht my dad and fam) for $50 gifts. So we're spending $200 on gifts, plus then the girls and his family gifts. But it's still better than buying $50 gifts for 6 of us, plus our mom and dad!

It's nice weather here so I am going out for a walk at lunch - need some fresh air!! I am slowly getting my energy back so I can actually live like a HUMAN again. And I am not throwing up as much (yay me!!)

Belle: Let's just say my food is at maintenance level rather than losing level right now, could be better, but I am going back to some old stratagies... First of all, warm drinks, then I bought some mint strips to put in my mouth to try and make me forget about snacking... I figure I am pretty much doing the best I can right now.... My parents move this weekend.... I am also trying to figure out xmas dinner (I want it at my house, may require some bargining with BFs side of the family though, but I work the next day and don't feel like travelling at all, plus my parents won't be fully unpacked yet and I told them they can come to my place).

To save my sanity I will probably be taking Thursday afternoon and Friday off!

Kierie: yah! I haven't bought anything yet for my BF. I shall soon though!

Belle: I am one of four kids so it adds up... At least calgary has the restaurant ban, Montreal doesn't... I can't even stand to be near cigarette smoke!

Cheers!

Kierie: I think I am spending about $250CDN on my man (my paycheques are biweekly and this month is a 3 paycheque month so it works). It's his birthday a month from today too (I hit the boxing day sales for those).

Cheers!

Do you girls know how great it is to come here and see familiar faces.

You've probably forgotten me but I HAVE to check in or something.

I was 220, then down to 125, now up to 138!!!!! I don't want to keep going up, especially since my wedding is in 4 months.

can I lose 20 pounds in four months??? I really more than ANYTHING want to be at my goal weight that day.

Last Thursday someone brought in Dunkin Donuts.... for years I have been able to stay away and then all of a sudden I had 7 donut holes! Then Friday I stuffed my face a holiday party... and I mean like 5 cookies, 2 pieces of pie and some triffle! Then Saturday I ate so much I felt sick.

I don't know if it's the stress from work, the stress from the wedding, or that my cravings are hightened around the holidays...

What can I do to get these last 20 off before April 17th???

Hey Lisa! I do remember you...glad you're back! I didn't know you were engaged? Congrats!! I'd love to give you advice on the WL for weddings, but I was just married on October 9 and I maintained...it was a stressful time and I didn't manage to lose anything that I'd wanted to!

However, 5lbs/month is very reasonable and do-able! I think Christmas is a difficult time to re-commit b/c the food/drinks/libations are EVERYWHERE...good for you for trying!!

Ciao for now!
