Hi there, I am starting a new thread and going to copy the last couple posts from the last thread. Then I am going to my niece's 9th b-day party and I will check in when I get home tonight.

Bren

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to pop in and say hello. I am slowly but surely getting better. I had to go to the doc again. I still have the bronchitis junk and all this other junk that is going around. They do not want me taking anymore antibiotics because they had to give me the 2weeks of them the month before last. I think all the stuff he gave me is starting to help, even though one is a steriod...YUCK...I went to WW yesterday for the first time in about 3 weeks..they were closed for Easter and then I was too sick to get out of bed last weekend...I was only up 4 pounds with TOM and steriods so I was a happy camper...my jeans had gotten so tight again I just knew it was more...thank goodness I have still been eating properly or it would have been worse.

I guess I better run. I am trying to clean a little and rest every hour or so. I don't want this going into pneumonia.

Hope you all have a great Sunday and I miss you guys.
Hope to be back on a regular basis soon.
Love
Setina

Before I start my post, I received an excellent "Daily Inspirational Quote" in my email today and with it being Sunday, I thought it would be very appropriate to post. Hope you like it as much as I do.

Ok.....

Bill got home around 12:30am last night/this morning and I can't tell you how nice it is for him, Li'l Billy and myself to be in a peaceful house on a Sunday morning. I SHOULD be at church but I also know my place TODAY is right here. I just wish Jackie were here too but she'll be home soon enough. Looks like it's going to rain and Florida really needs it. I've put all of my hanging and potted plants "out" so they get nice and saturated. I've done well with my WW with the exception of my veggies and fruit. I HAVE started getting all and more of my water in finally. I don't quite understand how I ever stopped drinking enough because I like it so much and am always thirsty. Oh well, important thing is I'm back to drinking it and now I just need to get those veggies and fruits in and then I'm back on track 100%.

Tara - I know you wont see this until you get back but I hope you have lots of fun and win lots of Moola $$$$$.

Judy - Judy, Judy, Judy....as Carey Grant would have said. You're too much ....... sorry I messed up your "Butt Kickin" plans....heh-heh. Sometimes I don't know what I would do if I didn't have your support and feedback. We REALLY need to meet in person someday soon. AND WAY TO GO ON THOSE 7.5 pds. Wowweeee!!

Candice - Sounds like you really know your stuff when it comes to a green thumb. I'm also looking forward to seeing your flower beds once they bloom. Soil is sooo important to a good garden and most people don't realize that part of it all. I'm a firm beleiver in always having lots of good, moist, rich soil on hand for whatever project I plan on doing. Don't laugh but I keep it in Billy's green little tykes wagon that he outgrew. Gets around the yard just great and is also a really good "carry all" for my "stuff". As for your knees, I sure know what you mean and you SHOULD HAVE used that garden sitter onner thingy. LOL.....I don't know what it's called but I have it too. It's great and I'm never out there without it. Now don't make me tongue lash you. Next time use it. We may be getting older and I know we have our aches and pains but please....don't ever give up your gardening. If I can do it...so can you......don't ever stop moving and I know it's easier said than done but we've got to do it girlfriend. Stick with me on this one.

Brenda - You give Bree a great big kiss from me, will you? I hope you're all having a wonderful Sunday.

Penny - Hey, whatever works for YOU......go for it. Me? I'm doing WW AND taking xenecal after a heavy meal which I haven't had lately so I haven't had to take any. heh-heh. Stick with it if it's working for you. We're all different and different strokes for different folks. Be proud of yourself. You're doing an awesome job!!!

Well, that's it for me. I've got to get back to finishing up these photos for Billy's Kindergarten class and then I plan on making a really nice Sunday meal for MY family.

Tonight!!!!!! we eat in the FORMAL dining room.
Hugs to you all,
~Pamela~

PJ..I will never give up my love of gardening...we live on 2 acres in the country and It is too much now for me to keep up alone since DH took a second job! My son has been helping me....he doen't like too but he does! I hear ya about the little rolling catr and seat! I haul stuff around in a wheel barrel now but used to use the boys red wagon.

Setina..glad you are better! 4 lbs is not bad for being on steroids.

Bren...How's your daughter? Bubble bath, scented candles ......sounds heavenly!!!!!!!!!!!! Bet you enjoyed it!

Default Greetings

Hi there:

Just checking in and reading all the posts. Lots of action out there lately.

Scott is still off today. He had his tonsils and adneoids out one week again today. He actually did very well the first couple of days, but now is bothered with sore ears and diarrhea from the antibiotics. Will be gald when things get back to normal. Scott also missed 4 weeks of school because of a strike with the custodians and support staff at the schools. He was settled and he went back to school for 4 days, before he had to get off with his surgery.

I'm going back to WW on Thursday. I have gained pretty much all the weight back that I lost 3 years agao and feel like crap again. I can't believe I slid back so far again!! It will be nice weather again and I can't hide behind the black pants and vests for the summer. I had wanted to be a goal for my 40th birthday, but that is not going to happen. Perhaps my goal should be, in my 40th year!!

I am glad for all the support that I get from all you owls. I know we all have our problems, and some times it feels good to be able to get here and vent a bit.

Take care.

SUE

Suebee - I had no idea Scott was having his tonsils out. Mine are STILL bothering me but nothing like the first two weeks. My ears are itchy deep, deep inside and I've still got some tenderness on the right side of my throat. I hope Scott makes a speedy recovery. I went for the sherbert and Italian ices. Mmmm.

Candice - I'd love to live in the country now. I did when I was in Parkersburg, W.V. and it was pure heaven....cows, horses, chickens and lots of trees and flowers. That was nearly 23 yrs. ago when I was going to Meredith Manor Riding Academy. My but time sure flies.
Sounds like you've got the kind of garden I can only dream about. I'm in a private development and on only 1/4 acre. Some day, when we finally move to Melbourne (fla.)....I'll have that big ole victorian house and a nice big garden like yours. I'm sure you could give me lots of advice and I hope you don't mind if I pick your brain a few times on certain types of plants. During the hot summer months here in Florida, the impaitiens don't last so I usually switch over to the giant New Guinea's and more greenery than color...... Although out on the patio, where there is shade, I have lots and lots of potted flowers. We'll have to share pictures.

Brenda - I swear by bubble baths. I know it's hard to find the time for them sometimes but they sure do "heal" alot of different ailments......mostly stress.
That's one of my biggies....well, hopefully that's a past-tense term for me more often than not now. The candles certainly are a nice touch too. Bet you were in "heaven". How is Bree's Belly button today? Hope she's doing better. "See" ya later.

It's been raining all morning here but it's much needed and it's been steady for a few hours now. Just what we needed. It's one of those days where if you wear a dark color, you're going to be gloomy but if you wear a nice light color.....it feels like a nice, clean day where everything smells great. Some contrast, huh? Hope you are all having a good Monday.
Hugs,
~Pamela~

Hi everybody,

I have a request. Please do not send me attachments anymore. I won't be able to open them. Two people we know got a virus just yesterday. Hubby is not allowing us to open attachments. I'm sure he'll lighten up sometime.

So if you are sending out to a distribution list any attachments, please remove my email addy. Thanks so much.

Setina get well.

Pamela, what's the news on the houseguest from ****?

Have a great day.

Hey Judy - I wont send you anymore attachments but I can guarantee you I can't give you a virus. I'm always up to date (twice daily automatically on Norton Anti-virus) and my computer doesn't allow anything to be opened unless it's scanned first so ...... I always get whatever I send out first....then I scan and then I double check. I got a virus once and learned the hard way how to keep from ever getting them again. Although, I'm sure there are still some sickos out there that have nothing better to do than to break whatever safety codes are new so we have to keep spending $$$ on new software. AAAGGHHHH, it's like a vicious circle.
As for the "Family from He**.....she called this morning, wanting to pick up her sons school books and her container of bills. LOL.........I never heard anyone use such a kiss a** tone in their voice in my entire life. I just told her I'd leave them outside the front door and that we will have all of their things packed and outside of the house.....meaning, they are NOT stepping one foot in this house ever again. She then calls me back and wants to know if she can come in to get the kids clothes for the summer since her parents are coming to get them on the 11th. I told her of course, was very polite and said "but I'm sorry, the 11th is too long. I'll have all of their things ready by this Friday. She said "oh, ok. Thank you very much, I really appreciate it." aaaaggghhhh!!!!!!!!!.......She also wants to know if she can keep her things that are stuffed in my garage in there until the 11th so she can find a storage place. CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS????!!!!! I said "He** NO!!!!!!, this weekend is it. Sunday is the day and if that's not good for you and your boyfriend, you'd better hope it doesn't rain because it'll all be in my driveway starting at 7am. I want nothing to do with any of them ever again. I mean it, the more I think of everything that happened.....the angrier I get and that's not good for me so it's time to move on with my life and my family. I've already got Billy's room back to normal except for all their things in boxes......but atleast it's not so crowded with three beds and dressers. The room looks so big now....LOL......next...we start on Jackies room. We'll be painting it next week and then we can FINALLY have the carpet cleaned.
Boy, what an earfull, eh Judy? heh-heh......

I just had a McD's .99 Chicken sandwich.....I have to go look up the pts.......I know it wasn't a good choice but I was really in the mood for one........ ;

Have a good one.

By the way, here's a recent photo of my son. I took it last week at his school. He's getting so big, so fast. His eyebrows turn totally blonde and almost disappear in the summer just like his Daddy. LOL

Happy Monday everyone. I have just a couple of minutes before the kids get home from school, so I thought I'd get a quick note out.

I didn't get on-line over the weekend since I ended up with bronchitis, but now that the antibiotics are kicking in, I should be getting better soon. I decided to not substitute teach until late in the week so that I don't pass this on to the little ones. I was suppose to be a kindergarten teacher today, which is so fun!!!

Setina...sure hope you are getting better. Sure been a long time since I've heard from you. Those few pounds will easily be gone in a few days. Medicine sure can do a number on you.

PJ...I'm so glad that nightmare is about over. I'll definately give you a little peace before we come down for a visit. We were thinking of going down to Florida later this fall. We may have to give you a call later this summer if we decide to. At least we have our own home to come home to. LOL..... In fact right now, we have 2. I can't wait until we get this one sold.

Brenda...Sure hope that everything is okay with your daughter. At least you knew about the tick and can watch for any symptoms. Quite often part of the problem is the diagnosis, because they aren't even aware they were bit by a tick.

Well, the kids are walking in the door. Hi to everyone else, I'm off to rest for awhile and see how the kids' day went.

Default Hi There!

Wow, now this is the nest that I remember, LOL Lots of talking going on here. Brianna goes to the doctor tomorrow so then we will know if that last little piece will be removed or if they still think it will come out by itself. It only looks a tiny bit pink around it. When we got back from our walk I pulled another tick out of her hair, it was a regular tick though this time and it wasn't attatched. I think it's gonna be a bad year for ticks.

I walked 1.2 miles today with Brianna, nobody else wanted to go. I've done okay on my eating but not great. Weigh in is tomorrow night for me and I hope for a small loss.

PJ, so glad they are finally out, now you just gotta get their stuff out, LOL! The bubble bath was great, I even brought in a small radio and listeded to relaxing country music and read a magazine.

Susan, gee girl another sick owl. It sounds like you are on the mend though. Be sure to get enough rest and don't let the kids run you completely ragged.

Hi Judy, I will be sure not to send any attachments either, those virus's can be nasty. How are you doing?

Candice, it is amazing what we can put our bodies through and still move the next day, LOL It sounds like you really love gardening. It is nice to have something you enjoy thoroughly.

Later everyone,
Bren

Brenda - I agree, the OWLS seem to be back into our chatty Cathy routines. LOL.....do any of you remember that doll? I was 2 yrs. old when I got it. I'll have to find the picture. It was my favorite and of course, I cut all of her hair off. What a little rat I was.

Susan - It's always great to "see" you here. Hey, you could come here next WEEK as far as I'm concerned. I know you and you're NOTHING like those people. Atleast I know you have morals and integrity and couth! LOL ...I sure hope you feel better. I really miss you. We sure did click when we met and I still have that funny feeling that we'll be neighbors one day. You never know.

Well, now Bill isn't feeling well. He's so stressed out from all of the traveling he's been doing. Poor guy, he's so pooped that he went right to bed when he got home tonight and I gave him soup in bed. He's sound asleep right now and Jackie is trying to read to Li'l Billy. It's so wonderful to see the two of them getting along and loving eachother again. They haven't been this "civil" to eachother in months. I know it wont last forever but he IS only six and she'll be 13 in July so this Little Brother wont be so little for long and I'm sure there wont be many more years of her reading to him before they go to bed sooooooo, I'm trying to keep it going. So far, so good. It's so true when they say that "when Mommy's happy, everybody's happy". Don't you think? LoL

Sweet Dreams my friends,
~Pamela~

Hi Everyone,

Hope all of you had a nice weekend.

I have had a great week, going to OA meeting and sticking to the WW program.
I lost 3lbs this week!!!

I worked in the yard all day yesterday and today I had the day off of work. And brought my 4 year old horse to the trainers for the summer. I always have mixed feeling about that. On the one hand I am glad to have a few less chores to do. But at the same time I am all teary eyed because shes not here where I can keep an eye on her.

Well you wont believe how I spent this evening!!!!!
A robin has made a nest inside my dryer vent!!!!!!
I could not figure out why none of my close would dry. Then I was cleaning in the basement and heard this fluttering. A robin found her way under the flap down the hose and built a nest. Very clever of her, but unfortunately I had to remove it, she had 4 eggs in there I felt really bad but what could I do, could have caught my house on fire.. So much for the flap, I had to staple a piece of wire on the vent so she can't get back in. And I spent a great deal of time trying to figure out how to get her outside and not have her getting loose in my house.
Well its done, I am sure she is not very happy.

Way to go PJ doesn't standing up for yourself feel great?

Be back soon take care everyone.
Tara how did you do??

A bit of useless trivia:

The chatty Cathy doll had a famous person's voice. It was Maureen McCormic (Marcia Brady).
Thanks for the memory.

Penny, congrats on your 3 lbs!

Bren, ask me again how I'm doing on June 8th. That will be my first day of vacation!! Until then, trust me, you don't want to know. My days at school are similar to PJ's family from ****.

Susan, did I tell you how great it is to see you again?

Sue, so glad that your son is doing well. Congrats on going back to WW.

Default ~HAPPY SATURDAY~

It's STILL raining. It has been drizzling and downpouring off and on and it's wonderful. As I said before, Florida really needed it and Lake Okeechobee is (I believe) the main water resorvoir....it's not at the level where it should be yet but we've got to be making SOME progress. I know my lawn and plants love it and it's also nice to have the pool fill up and not have to pay for the water. <grin>

Candice - I could see why you'd miss your mare?? but not the chores. Why and where do you send her away to a trainer for the summer? I couldn't do it. I'd have to see her every day and work with her myself. Just my thing I guess. I know people send their dogs away for obedience as well and I couldn't do that either. I guess I'm just a big weenie.

Judy - Ooooo. I'm not messing with YOU this week. You're alot like me, you wear your feelings on your sleeve...er....posts. Heh-heh. I can tell you were not in a great mood when you wrote that post. I can relate though. BIG TIME. I kind of had a mini "school" here for a while and I also volunteer alot in the attendence office at Jackie's middle school. It's amazing what I see go by me and through the office. I give you so much credit for being a teacher today. Hang in there, summer is coming!

Jackie's home again today with pink eye. Ewww, it's so hard to keep her from touching IT or anything around the house. I have to keep making her wash her hands. I think that if I give her a bottle of the waterless hand cleanser, it might work. This way, if she goes to rub her eye, it will STING and be clean at the same time. Heh-heh....I'm kidding.....I'm not THAT mean.......well, maybe. Lately I don't know.
Have a good day everyone.
