Hi Ali, Belle, and Jen!
I haven't been around much, mostly I've just lurked. I'm busy at work with a major project, and have been eating more than I should. Here's how it usually goes for me: Monday through Thursday are good. Friday I start pigging out and don't stop until late Sunday night. I'm toying with the idea of going back to WW, especially because I got on the scale yesterday and I'm up to 193. I simply cannot weigh over 200 again. Since I don't struggle during the week, I'm thinking that if I go back to the WW meetings, it will help me to be more responsible on the weekends. It's worth a shot.
So, since it's Monday, I'm (of course) back OP and starting over. Again for the 1,000,000th time. I've actually been doing really good with exercising, though. I walked for an hour three times last week and plan to do it again tomorrow night and Thursday night and hopefully at least once on the weekend.
I'm still doing Subway two nights a week, but have been trading hours with people and ended up having last week off and two weeks before off. I had a visit with a counselor and have the binge-eating under control. He asked me to start a journal and before I binge, to write down what I'm feeling. It's helped A LOT because now I'm identifying what's causing me to eat and, rather than eating, I'm dealing with it. Unfortunately, the OVER eating isn't as easily dealt with.
Still with Aaron, of course. Couldn't be happier. Despite my parents objections over the years, I've stuck with him and he's finally turning into an adult. I have exactly the boyfriend I've always wanted. Finally.
I'm going to try to get out and post more often, but I really have so little going on outside of work and Aaron that I'm afraid my posts are plain boring.
Ali--I'm afraid I'm one of those people who favors a cat over a dog. I think mostly because they don't drool. Of course, I'd also favor a cat over a child for the same reason, so I can't offer advice about cats or dogs. (Or kids for that matter). I hope your insurance hurries up and calls you back--they shouldn't make you wait like that--don't they realize how hard it is on us?
Belle--Yay for you for the good eating. I'll tell you (from personal experience) that exercise combined with wrong eating doesn't lead to much weight loss. Eating right combined with little or no exercise will still sometimes help you to lose. And, it's easy to start exercising. I just forced myself to do it. I put on headphones, grabbed my cell phone (in case I passed out from not working out for so long) and started off on my walk. That was all there was to it. And after the first time, I realized I kind of liked it. Now, I just have to do it often enough that I don't forget that.
Jen--Sorry to hear you're so swamped at work. Even though your camping trip sounds a little stressful, I'm jealous--I haven't been camping yet this year and didn't get to go last summer, either. (Aaron's work schedule prevents us from doing much camping).
Anyway, I just wanted to pop in and say hi. Like I said earlier, I really will try to stop in more.
