TONYA my darling. I am doing well and glad to see that you are in the Zone too. I am as well. I made peanut butter cookies yesterday...1 cup of light PB, 1/2 cup of splenda and one egg. YUM. They are still 1-2 points each, but they are chock full of protien and satisfy my cookie cravings. Let's do this!! I have been keeping in check with Kier until recently - Kier!! ???? Where are you??????
I don't know if I'll make it to WI tomorrow, but if not, I'll go Thursday after lunch. I am wicked excited for the move. I'll certainly pack most of my stuff Wed/Thursday. And tonight my goal is to do all the laundry I have b/c we don't have a washer/dryer and can't afford one until after the wedding (good thing both of my sisters live so close...we'll be trading the laundry for the babysitting...).
Today in Calgary its snowing!! But it's warm out so it's like a giant slushie!! Grey and wet and gross. But not really cold, so that's good.
Tonya~ Congrats on a great day yesterday! It sounds like a lot of us are in "the zone". That is awesome!!
Belle~ Plan a lot (food wise) during your move b/c it is SO easy to say screw it and order FAst Food. Unfortunately that is what DH and I did however we were so active with moving that we didn't gain. It is just hard to come off of all the junk food that we consumed during the move. I hope this makes sense. Good luck and congrats again!!!
Kieri~ Hey good luck on that exam and it sounds like you packed lots of healthy stuff!!
Well, I did well yesterday although DS and I were supposed to walk and got rained out. I could have done the treadmill but I folded mass amounts of laundry instead. I am planning to exercise at some point tonight though. As far as the scale it was blinking between 180 and 179.5 this morning but OF COURSE it rested back at 180. I cannot wait to break the decade. It will be the first time in 2 years or more I think.
I leave 1 week from today for West Palm Beach and I cannot wait. My sister and I keep discussing what foods we will buy and what exercise we will do. The condo offers water aerobics in the a.m. so we plan to do that for sure and then our friends said that it is a great walking beach so we will be taking many a walks. I hope that I stick to my plan, which is to have 2 splurges, both desserts of course and then if I gained I will go back to Phase 1 which is stricter. Alright I will check in again soon.
BBIAB I really am not motivated to work right now!!!
I have been great with my eating and getting some activity in so I am happy
Anyway my weight is down to 161 which is great since I was up to about 170 just 4 weeks ago... I somehow gained 15lbs over xmas and winter. So why am I choosing SBD when WW worked for me before? I have nasty problems with sugar (like discovering I am a reactive hypoglycemic) and needed to reduce my carb cravings. SBD has helped loads... I still get days where I want to eat everything in sight, but right now I am in the "zone" and have been very good! I am still counting points though, I like to know how much I am eating
Becky: You're almost there... by next week I am sure you'll be solidly there.
Belle: Good luck with getting everything together. If you miss weigh-in it's understandable.
Tonya: yeah I have my initial fire back too to lose this weight! Congrats!
OK just for fun, I calculated the points from the menu plan for phase one SBD (the book)and they were from 26/27 - like 37!! Wow, I was shocked at how many points you can eat. I guess if I added my flexpoints it'd be about right per week at my weight, but nonetheless.
Ali, are you reducing your points to stay in your range? Or just counting to keep track of how many, within target or not? I am still toying with it, only to reduce the sugar cravings. But WW did work for me, so I am very reluctant to stray. Just curious.
Becky - I am sooooo into what you're saying. Even now as we are "emptying the fridge" it's hard to know what to eat. We've been Wendy-ing it. Wendy's salads are great so that's my dinner staple. On Saturday we're off to the Sobey's to stock the fridge - just cuz I am living out of boxes doesn't mean I have to eat out of boxes!
Kieri - good luck chiquita! Write when you can - how are enjoying onederland? I hope to meet you there soon my dear.
Morning!! I meant to get back yesterday to finish posting but I never did. But I wasn't very busy at work. Mostly just putting out fires. It's so hard to be motivated when I know I won't be working here that much longer. It's like I just want to get on with the rest of my life already...
Food was great yesterday. I ended up buying lunch instead of the food I brought from home but it was sushi so that was good - I made healthy homemade pizza for dinner and kept everything within my points. I missed my lunch walk but I went to volleyball and there weren't that many people so I worked my BUTT OFF! I was very sweaty at the end of it and we had a blast. I went grocery shopping last night and kept everything healthy and good so I have decent food for the rest of the week and it's gorgeous outside so I will get in my hike at lunch.
Tonya - Great work with your mealplans and keeping track!
kier - have fun studying!!
Belle - is that the whole recipie? Sounds delicious!
Becky - Water aerobics is great for burning calories!! You guys will have a blast and I'm sure you'll be down under 180 before you go!
Ali - great work getting back down! You've done it so quickly!
OK - That's all I have for now. Must put out a couple more fires. I'll try to check back later.
Belle: I am a control freak when it comes to eating, so I need to know how many points. I have been losing on eating 25-30points a day plus a free meal a week and daily activity. In calories I am eating about 1400 or so... Also remember, for example I count this high fiber bread I used to eat as a point each slice, 2 slices were 140 calories... now I eat a lot of stuff (cheese, eggs etc) that's between 60-80 calories and count that at two points, the calories in general are less. I am also eating more calcium (cheese, yogourt) which aids WL as well...
Belle~ I have to admit that one of the main things I love about SBD is not having to count calories, points, carbs, etc. I guess I am lazy that way. I just eat my 3 meals, 2 snacks and nightly dessert. I eat meals until I am full and then I stop. I guess although it is in some ways more complicated b/c your food choices are a bit limited but in other ways it is simple b/c you're not counting anything. I think that everyone has to find their own niche and so far this is mine. A lot of people still count points or calories while on it though. It is basically to each their own.
Ali~ I am the same way. I was a complete carb, sugar addict. I had NO control. This is why I think my weight loss has been at such a good pace b/c my main source of food was simple with some complex carbs and sweets.
KT~ Great job yesterday! ARe you getting a new job? Sorry I am still catching up from when I couldn't post!
Well back to work I go! I am having a s l o w day today so I will be around!!
Becky - I am beginning to see how tailored to each person programs can be. IT's cool that you can incorporate different things into your own WL program. I think it's great. We sort of know ourselves enough to know what works and what doesn't. Do you want to come up here and work with me?? I have LOTS to do..and no time!! No time!!!! GAH!!!!
KT - have fun with your fires, I know how that feels!! HEy, at least it isn't snowing in BC! ) Yup, that's the whole recipe! With real sugar they are 2 points each. With fake sweetener, 1 point. Yummers.
hey girls back for a second seems like everyone is back in the zone!
belle its snowing by you and boiling by me its 87 degrees out!
I had a salad from heaven today a friend brought in a bbq salmon salad to die for!!! so I'm saving tuna for dinner
so far this is what I have had today
Hard boiled egg with smart balance and mrs dash
3 slices ( one serving) ff turkey
another hb egg
Brocoli in da raw
and that salad
I'm going to check the houlihands website to see if theres nutritional info
