  • Morning Ladies! I am SO back on track today. I have to be! I have had such a bad week WWer wise. Sorry Belle I didn't get back on track when I should have. The past 3 days have just been out of control. I cannot get enough food! I am a little nervous about being pg (sore breasts, upset stomach, large cravings) however I figure that the soreness could be due to the fact that I started jogging and I need a better sports bra, the upset stomach could be b/c I am eating too much. Who knows??? I am just looking forward to KNOWING for sure. We are definitely not trying at this point. Oh well sorry if that is all TMI. I just have to talk about it somewhere and if I talk to family or friends they will get way to crazy about it Ok enough about me.

Whats up Ladies??? How is everyone doing?? I have only been back on the boards for a few days but they have been slow. Lets have a big posting day! I am here late tonight so I definitely need something to get me through. Well back to work for now!! Thanks for all of your support and the suggestions regarding protein on Tuesday. I do think coming on here is such a great weight loss tool!!!
  • Hey Becky!

Happy Thursday. Normally, Thursdays are fun for me, as it is Friends day, but it's that stupid re-run thing for five more weeks. What a rip off. Stupid Friends.

So all you hockey fans, what do you think of the penalty Bertuzzi got? Too hard, not hard enough? I keep thinking, had that been in a bar, he'd be in jail. I know the pain of a fractured vertibrae and I'd send that guy to jail in a heartbeat. Just my thoughts...any one else with 2 cents??

Last night was OK WW-wise, though I did eat a bit too much basmati rice. I was craving the rice all day and I ate 2 cups of it....for 8 points. I had to use some flexpoints....which was disappointing, as I would have done well.

On the selling the condo front, we got sign off on the condo docs on time, but they can't get financing on time so we'll have to wait - we let them have til end of day Friday to get it together. Yee haw lemon. We're almost there. I can't wait to get ouit of the condo, this sounds bad, but I am sick and tired of babysitting adults. They let their dogs s*&t on the lawn and don't clean it up. They have parties and throw beer bottles, garbage, boxes etc, off the balconies. Sometimes hitting the garbage bin, sometimes teh lawn, sometimes my deck....they bring their bikes into their units and mark up the walls. They cook fish and other smelly foods and rather than open a window, they open their doors, so all of our units smell like fish. They leave thier stinky garbage in teh hallways until they feel like taking it out....

You get the idea. Being on the board is good b/c I have some control and know what's going on, but it also means being an enforcer and I don't want to be bothered with crap like that!!

Me-thinks it's time to have a goal sig. I have to do some calculations and figure it out. Seems to me that when I have some written out goal staring me in the face, it works better!!

    Well, I'll be back.

    Come out and play y'all!!!
  • Becky - just read your post....you know, I have had the very sore breasts thing too, and my appetite is bigger than usual with weirdo cravings. I know its hormones, but I think they are brought on by stress, and going off the pill.

Are you stressed out? The jogging may infact trigger new hormones as well as the not-good-bra pain. I wonder if our cravings are due to the fact that we've been splurging. Like, I had cheesecake the other day, now I want MORE cheesecake. Whereas when I didn't have any, I didn't crave it. So, who knows.

What matters is, we are back on track (and you should take a pg test just in case - remember, I thought for sure I was pg last year and everyone told me I was imagining it, then I miscarried at 7 weeks...).

    BBL
  • Belle~ Thanks for the advice. I will have to wait another week before I can take a test. I am on the pill so if I were pg it would have to be pretty miraculous but I am so paranoid sometimes. It makes sense what you are saying about the cravings. I know the more junk I eat the more that I want.

I too am bummed about the Friends thing. I will still watch the re-runs though. I will need a good laugh after a long day of Social Work.

Congrats on the condo thing. The buying and selling process can be a bit daunting but it is well worth it. I hope that it all works out on Friday!!
  • UGH!! I just wrote a post and lost the whole thing!!!!

So... sorry I haven't written this week. It's been so crazy since we got back. It was THE most romantic weekend I could have imagined. And yes, Brian asked me to marry him. I said YES of course, and I'm still on cloud nine. We're thinking April 2003.

Here's the link to pics of the weekend and my ring!

Jess - sounds like you are back on track. Good for you!

Grace - you are the WW queen. Can you PLEASE send some motivational vibes my way. THANKS!

Belle - your condo sounds like my apartment. There;s no board to speak of, but plenty of smelly loud neighbors. I'm planning on moving in with Brian when my lease is up in September. It can't come soon enough!!

Alright ladies. I will write more soon!

    Lisa
  • LISA CONGRATULATIONS!! OH MY GOD!! I am so excited for you having known how it feels now - woo hoo!!! I assume you mean April 2005, as 2003 is gone. I am going to check out your ring!!

    YAY LISA!!
  • YOUR RING IS BEAUTIFUL as are you in those pics - congrats again!!
  • Thanks Belle! Yes, I meant 2005... woops. Now we have something in common. When is your wedding date again?

    Lisa
  • Duh, sorry - October 9th. How exciting. A fall wedding!
  • CONGRATULATIONS LISA! I am so excited for you. Married life is so wonderful!! I love the pics. You both look so happy! Your ring is absolutely gorgeous. I love it. Thanks for sharing. BTW SOOOO NOT the WWer Queen. I am happy to have 1/2 of a day POP this is the first time in a while I do aspire to be the WWer Queen though
  • WOOOHOOO congrats Lisa you're ring is stunning and the grooms not too bad either you guys are soo cute!
Becks you are back on track I have been OP all day I had a whole grain bran cereal for breakfast a rf granola bar for snack and a wrap from subway no cheese or condiments for lunch I'm hping I can just have fruit before WI tonight

  • Lisa - CONGRATS!!! And thanks for the pictures. It looks like it was a fantastic weekend and the ring is beautiful!!!

Becky - my sister took her test 21 days after her last period and it was positive (that's the one who's pg right now) - just a thought. My protien suggestion is cheese strings. I love them and the mozzerella ones are not too bad on the fat.

Belle - One more day and then everything will probably be fine and you can start working on packing!! On the Bert front, I'm a huge canucks fan and haven't been really impressed with bert's lack of performance this season and that puch was not right. that said, I don't think it's the same as it happening in a bar or on the street. He deserved what the suspension and a fine and there may be criminal charges but I don't know about the jail thing. I think it's terrible that a professional sport goes that far. My mom watched a game with me the other weekend and asked if it was hockey or boxing. i guess we'll see if this incident changes the game at all...

Kier - sounds like you're having a good points day!! Keep it up!

Well, I had my couple of days off with the kidlets. I just love those babies so much! It will be hard when they go back to Virginia but I'm grateful for the chance to get to know them so well. My mom and I took the 2 girls for a walk in the snugglies yesterday to get a bit of excerise in and the ankle took it quite well. I may get back to volleyball yet! We are having a family dinner this weekend and my mom's letting me plan the food. I have to include high fat for the nursing mom, low fat for my mom and me and healthy for the pregnant mom. What a challenge! Any suggestions?

  • Good Afternoon!
Congratulations, Lisa!! It looks like you had a wonderful weekend--the place was beautiful and you look gorgeous! That ring couldn't be any more perfect!

Becki--Your symptoms sound just like me right before my period, if that helps at all. I'm like you--on the Pill, but always SO paranoid if I don't get TOM. And I switched pills recently and almost never get it, so I'm seeing the Dr. for something different on Monday. I can't NOT get it. How's your good, OP day going for you? I'm doing OK, but the real challenge will come when I get home tonight.

Belle--Hello, dear! Are you still doing Fast Track? Are you finding yourself really hungry? I don't have any input on the Bertuzzi thing. I like hockey but don't know much and don't watch a lot. Yikes, your neighbors sound like nightmares! All of the people in my building are a little different (one talks to birds. Another has her entire plant filled with plants. The other three live downstairs and pretty much just keep to themselves).

Kier--Don't you just love the Subway wraps? I put my usual roast beef in a wrap and it's so good. Maybe I'll have one for dinner tonight, as a matter of fact! Hope WI goes well for you, sugar!

I have to go get my taxes done tonight for my small business. It is SO not how I was hoping to spend my evening. Aaron and I had planned a nice long walk together, but it looks like that's out of the question. Oh well, since I had to cancel on him, I'm going to surprise him by showing up at his pool league games tonight. He'll love it (unfortunately, I won't enjoy it, but it's worth it to make my sweetie happy).

What do you guys have planned for the weekend? I have to bowl tomorrow night and Saturday evening I'm not sure what's going on. Saturday morning, I'm working out with a friend, which will be different--I never work out on Saturdays. That night, I know that a few of us are going to go out and do something , just not sure what. During the days of this weekend will be tough for me--I'm starting to get in the habit of eating non-stop on the weekends. Not a good thing.

Anyway, kiddos, I'm gonna get some more work done today. Lisa, congratulations again!
  • KT--Oops! We must have been posting at the same time. I have a suggestion for you dinner this weekend--what about a "Build Your Own" anything. You could do make your own pita pizzas--you and your mom can use veggies, LF pepperoni, LF cheese. The high-fat mom can use regular meats and cheese. Healthy mom can use some of both. Or, you could do a salad buffet with lettuce, regular dressing, LF or FF dressing, a large variety of veggies, shredded cheese, olives, nuts, etc. You could do the same with a sandwich (or you could all just go to Subway). Good luck! When do the kidlets go back to VA?
