Default It's the Weekend!

I have to say I love reading everyone's new bio's. We are such a bunch of cool chicks!

I thought I would pop on and remind myself of the importance of staying on track this wknd. I wasn't able to log on again yesterday b/c work was crazy so I checked out everyones posts and I am glad that things seem to be going well. I am so glad the flexpoints plan is so great for everyone. I worked out again this morning and I am feeling great. The downer is we are going out with friends to Pizzapapalis (Chicago Style Pizza) this evening. I am just going to try and eat minimal points until then. I have a whole watermelon to cut up so Iam thinking I will eat a bunch of that drink a bunch of water and eat a high fiber bkfst. Wish me luck girls I am nervous about blowing it.

Well I have to run I am going shopping for a new work bag I am so excited. I am going to head to Marshall's and TJ Maxx to try and get a high end brand for a low price but if that is still not in my $50 budget I plan to hit Target! Sorry about the selfish post but I just had to motivate myself for the weekend. If anyone else is around! You can do it! Have a great OP wknd.

Hi Becky!

I'm in the office working today. I was in Norfolk this morning, covering a speech by Attorney General John Ashcroft. Now, I'm not a Republican, but I got to meet Ashcroft, shake his hand and ask him a few questions, and I have to say it was kind of cool. He hasn't been talking to the print media much after his Patriot Act speeches (which he's been giving to law enforcement for about a month), but myself and a writer for the Norfolk paper got to talk to him this morning.

However, I'm tired. I got up at 6 a.m. because I had to be there at 7:45 p.m. and it's a 45-minute drive there from my house, plus I wanted to get there a little early. So I got there about 7:30. I don't do mornings so well, so I'm running on coffee and adreneline at the moment. I'm already planning my nap this afternoon!

I was glad to see your post, though! Yesterday was my first day on the new plan, and I think I used at least 10 flex points! I was fine throughout the day, but then I went out for sushi with friends ... still not bad points-wise, but then I had two glasses of red wine. And they weren't exactly small glasses. So ... I need to try and get some exercise this weekend! I wish the Y didn't close at 5 on weekends.

Well, I better go start my story before I fall asleep. Hope you had fun shopping, Becky! Good luck with dinner!

Hey Kim - I am in the office today too - hopefully for only a few hours. I have 4 open houses next week so I won't be in the office from Teus-Fri....

If it makes yoiu feel any better I have used almost all of my flexpoints - and the majority was from eating at the open house. I wasn't even taht full - it's just really high point foods....so I am going to be in trouble next week.

Well, I went for an ultrasound yesterday and found out I have an ovarian cyst. I am really bummed. My mom had all sorts of female probs, including cysts. She ended up with a hysterectemy when I was 8.

I hope this doesn't impede my chances of having a family. BF has been super supportive and today we spend the morning in bed talking about baby names -then before I left he had me write them down so we don't forget them. I thought that was sweet - shows he really is thinking of the future/family...etc...

Hey Becky - have fun shopping for your bag!

Good luck staying OP this weekend and I"ll see y'all later!

Oh Kim - I forgot to ask - are you feeling better? I think your mood was mostly due to TOM - both physically and otherwise. Ih ave a few friends who are trying and who get really emotional when TOM comes.

Don't worry, it'll happen!!

I am so glad some others are around today! Hi Kim and Belle! I didn't find "the bag". I found a smaller purse that could be a work bag but I didn't buy it b/c I am kind of "cut off" in the purse dept right now. (DH doesn't get the need for numerouse purses) SOOOOO I am going to take him back to look at it before dinner. We try and clear most purchases with one antoher since we are saving for the house.

So far my points are good. I have 16 left for dinner which should be sufficient. I think. I am going with 2 other couples and both the girls are STICK thin so they are definitely not friends that I tend to pig out around so that is a plus.

Kim Your life is so interesting! It is amazing all of the stories that you cover. Good luck on getting some exercise in!

Belle Sorry about your cysts. Sounds like bf is helping you get through it. Try and take one thing at a time if you can. I tend to get so worked up when I think too far ahead about what "could" or "could not" happen. I wish you the best.

Well I have to go get ready. Talk to you girls on Monday.

I have been so grumpy & just not feeling good in general. I almost can't wait for tom to start! Yesterday after work I had to go shopping to get a bunch of stuff for work so I can do my stone therapy. I'm excited! Today I'm doing some practice freebies on my clients. I hope it goes great! With being grumpy & haven't been eating so well. Hopefully today will be better. Anyway I'm off to work. Have a good day all
