morning kier and all you other lovely ladies,
i think my brain is rather tired this morning. i can't even remember what POP stands for at the moment. all i can think of is perfectly on program/points. whatever, i reckon i'm doing it this week! i'm tempted to go buy some gold stars and stick them on my journal whenever i have a good day. funny how small things like that make you more motivated.
sadly i didn't get up early to do my yoga tape before work today. but i have a good excuse! BF works late on tuesdays so by the time he was home and had food and we chatted and stuff it was already 1am. so it was impossible to get up early cos i really need my sleep. still, i've got boxercise at lunchtime and aqua aerobics in the evening so i don't need to worry about not exercising! but i want to work on my flexibility so hopefully i'll be able to fit in the yoga tape after aqua class. phew. it's all go in the world of kirsty this week. does anyone else have crazy workout weeks followed by a complete lack of workouts? always nice to know i'm not alone...
becky and kier - enjoy your romantic dinners!
belle - well done on the 5k - that's a fantastic time!
laura - are your muscles still sore? get BF to give you a body massage. or try putting deep heat (hopefully it's got the same name over there!) on them. good news on the treadmill move.
angie - macbeth sounds great! outside and free def a good thing!
KT - noisy neighbours are a nightmare! the people upstairs from us aren't too bad but the girl never takes her heels off and they have wooden floors so you can imagine what that sounds like! BF and i call them the goblins. my friends in edinburgh have "ponies" living above them. apparently they hold gymkhanas...
keir - i'm a bit lost. i thought you were already engaged - didn't you describe the ring ages ago? or has he yet to properly ask?
kim - hope you get those allergies sorted out soon - not fun.
jess - the purple nails sound great! i need new nail polish for a wedding i'm going to this wedding. i'll prob go for a purply lilac colour that matches my shoes. which are amazingly high - i must post a pic!
lexxy - you'll get all toned soon, especially now you've recommited yourself to it.
rina - up 0.2 is nothing, but hopefully after an OP week you'll get a good loss next week.
good luck to anyone weighing in today. fingers crossed for a good result.
by the way, i don't think i'm going to be able to afford a trip to the states to visit jenk in chicago this year so all you guys will have to come see me!
ok, best get on with work here. sorry for the mammoth post. before i forget - all you lurkers - come and play too!
kirsty
ps i'm trying to give up diet coke this week. wish me luck!

Hey girls! I am back at work today and feeling a little bit better. I went home yesterday about 1/2 way through the day and rested so that helped.

I weighed in yesterday and am down 2pds since last week. I was excited b/c the wknd was a bit off. I didn't totally blow it but I didn't journal and I KNOW I was over pts. Dh's neice had a b-day party and we volunteered with our church at a Gus Macker B-ball tournament. I packed our lunches so that was healthy but by the time I got home Sat. I was starving and grabbed a brownie and then went to the b-day party where I ate dinner and of course cake and ice cream (1/2 piece of cake and threw out the rest of the ice cream). I did much better than I normally would have but still not OP. Ok enough babbling...the bottom line is I am realizing small changes are making an impact.

Well that is all for me. DH is not doing to well with the whole WWer thing. I am just being patient with him knowing how difficult it is to get started. He is going to coach soccer in the fall so that should help some. Well I am off. I guess I should get some work done.

Kieri- Good luck weighing in! Enjy your b-day dinner. Don't you love extending the b-day celebration! I still have a family party this wknd for mine

Kirsty- Yikes you exercise queen. You will sleep well tonight.

Default Hump Day

Hey girls!

How are you all this fine morning! I don’t know why I am in a good mood, but I am. B/f and I went to see “How to lose a guy in 10 days” last night and it was good – we laughed a lot. He found parallels to me though, which I didn’t like – like the calling his mom for baby pics (we weren’t dating when I did that for work related embarrassment) and asking if he loves my dogs. Oh well – I guess I am a bit of a girly girl sometimes.

Kier – good luck at WI girl! I am sure you’ll be fine. Your doc weighs you, eh? That is good – and cheaper too. I find being weighed by someone else makes a diff. I am going to WI tomorrow at noon. I am nervous, as last week didn’t go well – up 3#. I have been pretty good with the exception of Saturday in Banff – I ate 2 donuts and fudge and old spaghetti factory for dinner….oh well…I hope my running/biking pays off!!

Becky – Yay on the 2# down!! I am glad to hear you are finding the small changes to be paying off – I totally believe that. Even just switching from cream to 1% milk on your coffee can make a difference. Give dh time to adjust – men are whiney at the best of times!

Kirsty – you are a fitness GURU!! I am really bad – if I do a class, that is it for the day – I won’t go do another video or weights or anything. Today I am doing a step pump class and that will be it for the day. I would run, but this class is so fun that it keeps me motivated to work out. What kind of aqua do you do?? I like deepwater running, but its only offered nearby at stupid times, like 4:30pm. I’ll never get there by then, as I don’t leave work til 5ish.

What DOES POP stand for?? I know OP but not POP. (pretty on program/points?)

Well, its been rainy here in Calgary but supposed to be warm and dry the next 4 days, so I’ll get some outdoor biking in and take the dogs to the park. B/f and I will do the 5K run again on Sunday morning – but with all the pollen, my allergies are fierce making it harder to run outside than in the gym. For some reason though, I ran faster in the race than I did on the treadmill – go figure.

Well, have a good OP (POP?) day everyone!!

Kier - chill girly - it is just a number on the scale - I know easier said than done but keep in mind that even if you hate the number you have been doing a lot of things that reflect positively on your health. Enjoy dinner!

Kirsty - I have a tendency to have nutso work-out weeks and then get burned out and slack for a while. My legs aren't sore any longer but today my shoulders are a little - guess the UBWO worked!

Becky - glad you are feeling better. Congrats on the 2lbs. Despite slip-ups you keep going and that is showing on the scale.

We went out for a nice dinner last night. Luckily my fav restaurant makes this great pasta and veggie dish with a chicken broth sauce so it isn't too bad in points.

Got in my cardio and abs this morning before work and am going to take part of my lunch hour to do my LBWO in the gym downstairs.

I know that I can't have lost a ton of weight or tightened up that much in just 5 days but I must have lost some of that puffy look that people get when they eat poorly consistently because today a co-worker who sees me often said...."Woah....you're hot!"

Naturally - I'm having a good day now!

Belle - POP = Perfectly On Program. Glad you had fun at the movie even if he did compare you. CB loves this sitcom that I can't stand - it's got this horrid couple in it and he says he likes it because they remind him of us! I sympathize.

Have a good day.

I'm tired today (what's new) but I wanted to say hi to everyone. I have a short day today cause I'm training for a new volunteer position at the hospital this afternoon and then tonight I'm working at the Christina Aguilara and Justin Timberlake concert. Should be a fun evening. I hope everyone does have a POP day. Sorry I don't have time to respond to everyone, I must get a full day of work done in a half day of time.

hiya girlies!

I had a super op day yesterday which is pretty amazing b/c it was dh's b-day & we went out to eat. I managed to eat only 8 points at the restaurant though & I had nothing at the movie. We went to the Italian Job. We enojoyed it. It was a little predictable but I think that's b/c I saw too many previews etc before watching it. Today is planned out eating wise. I need to find some time to exercise though.

KT, have fun volunteering. I think that's so great

Laura, now you know I have to ask which couple on which sitcom?? BTw congrats on letting your inner hottie shine through!

Kier, I dream about size 14. One day...

Belle, We've been having great weather but I think some of your rainy stuff is supposed to head our way this week. I was going to tell you I'm jealous about CDS. One of my co-workers is going to see it in Calgary at the end of this month. We have "Carmen" happening here right now & I've been treating the lead. She is very cool but weird. I had heard Opera stars have quite the life but never really knew. Hopefully DH & I are going to catch it.

Becky, congrats on 2lbs gone! My dh always says he is going to try to follow ww at home but he never really commits to it either.

Kirsty, I love your gold star idea. I'm going to do that. I already have the stars b/c I do that for my stretching routine chart. You amaze me with your workout life. Were you always an exerciser or did you incorporate it when you started your ww life?

Hi to all of you who posted while I typed this monster! Hope that everyone has a POP day. I've gotta go make some lunch & get ready for work. Take care

Hello everyone

Not too much going on today for me -- I managed to not exercise yesterday and I'm feeling way way guilty over it so I'm sure I'll make it tonight! Luckily I managed to avoid eating too much too. After I got in last night after a couple drinks I wanted something to eat so badly (Apple Jacks actually) but I just went to bed instead! Victory!

Oops - gotta go to luch so no time to respond -- I'll be back later to respond

Yay me! I did noonhour step pump (step with wieghts) - it was good - really hard. I was DRIPPING with sweat. And now, a pita sandwich and V8 - I am POP for day #2. Too bad WI is tomorrow and not in 5 days.

I am really stressing about losing the 3# I gained last week - I know I have better things to worry about, like work! but I am still thinking about it all the time.

Laura - what is the sitcom??

Kier - I have current upstairs neighbours who have loud late-night romps - most annoying....

Rina - CDS was amazing - there are still obstructed view tix avail, but otherwise sold out. Are you going to see Carmen (my nieces name!)

Hi to Angie and KT

Must do work now...boooh!!!

Do all of you normally hit post reply which takes you to a seperate pg. That is what I do and I didn't realized this "your reply" box did the same thing. Wow, I am oblivious!

Belle- Good luck at your WI and try not to be stressed. You have started anew!

Laura- Or should I say Hottie! I noticed yesterday you said you did Walk/Kick Watp. Was that a part of some pkg also?

KT- Enjoy the concert. I have to admit he is a cutie!

Rina- OP despite DH's b-day dinner. I am impressed!!!

Angie- congrats on bypassingthe apple jacks.

Thanks everyone for commending my 2lbs loss. Every little bit counts

Well I am hoping to leave in about an hour so I will talk to you ladies tomorrow.

Oh BTW I am not sure if I mentioned it but the house that we looked at on Friday was crap. We did however get our old realtor back! HALLELLUJAH!!! I am not sure if I complained on here about the other guy but he was ridiculously inconsistant. We look at a couple more on Friday! Uh such a lovely process. I actually broke down crying last Friday. Dh was very understanding but deep down he must think I am such a loon. I also cried during Oprah on Monday. Don't you just love PMS. Anyways I have digressed about a million times so I will really sign off now!

No time to reply to all but......

Belle - the sitcom is Life with Jim.

Becky - Walk/Kick comes in a package with Walk/Jog and Walk/Yoga you can by them at collage.com. It's item # 9803. I currently just borrow them from the library.

Speaking of which went there on the 2nd part of my lunch hour today. I got 3 Firm videos that I'd put on hold earlier - I've not tried any of them before but they look like a lot of fun. Lower Body Sculpting II, Cardio Sculpt Blaster and Body Sculpt Blaster. The best part is they are 30 min each. Usually Firm videos are 45 to an hour and I don't usually have that much time - it's easier to break working out into 2 30 min segs a day.

Later,

Laura

Laura- I have got to check out my library. I will have to talk my husband into lifting the ban that he placed on my video borrowing from the library. The last time I borrowed "free" videos I kept them too long and it cost us $10. I am sure he won't mind though Not that 10 is a lot but we could have just rented them from the video store or bought them DH and I drove by a bunch of houses tonight. No new leads as of yet. We still plan to look at one on Friday though. We also stopped at Dairy Queen It was yummy but I regret it. Well I will talk to you ladies tomorrow!
