Default Wednesday Thread!!

Hi girls! I just thought I'd start a new thread b/c the one with pics is so big and hard to open....

I have been MIA lately - we merged with another company - Devon Energy and Ocean Energy? Well, it doesn't really effect us in Canada but I am in communicatinos so I have to field calls, etc. But its been interesting. I have worked late every night this week and b/f is out of town so I am stuck coordinating our whole move and everything! Its a pain in the butt. But we move out on Friday and in on Saturday!! YAY!!!

My 27th birthday went pretty good on Saturday. I took my niece to Disney on Ice and then went to my sister's for a family dinner. Then we went with a few friends to Karaoke. I love to sing (have completed my Royal Conservatory in vocal) and so it was a fun night for me. I got some clothes and Ikea gift certificates and some perfume, as well as a tree for my new condo. AND b/f gave me couple swing dance lessons!! We start March 11. What a cool idea!!

Anyway, I havne't read any posts yet - havent even had time to lurk - so I'll check back and post proper.

Have a good OP day girls!!!

BBL

I have the day off today. I vacuumed the house and just got out of the shower. Me and my friend are going to JcPenney. They are having a big sale today and I want to try and get my son a Columbia jacket for next winter. WI tonight. Last night I went over my points again because I went to my friend's house and had 3 drinks. Absolut w/ fresh squeezed grapefruit juice...Yummy. Had too many though, I wasn't feeling too good this morning. Hope it doesn't show up on the scales tonight. I'll let you know how the "Wendie" plan went. It was pretty easy to stick to because it is flexible. Talk to you later.

Hi Belle,Happy Birthday!! What a great gift-the swing lessons . That will be a lot of fun.

Hi Belle, Robin and everyone else!

Robin ~ I am working with the Wendie Plan too. I like the flexibility. I had my first WI in months, and am actually down 1.5 pounds after being off plan for months. So, I am back counting points and working out on my treadmill. I need to lose 20 pounds and would love to do it by June, but we will see.

Well, I have class in 15 minutes, so I better get going, I will check back after lunch!

Oh Robin, I loved your pics, and your prom story.....I think there are many girls like you out there "dissapointed" on prom night!!

Hi Everyone!
Robin - you crack me up. I thought that whole prom thing was a myth but I guess it happens. The pictures (especially the fat celebs) were great.
Belle - HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY! It sounds like you had a great time. I hope everything goes smooth with the move this weekend.
Tonya - Hello!

Here's where I throw in my weird WI experience from last night. I thought I would be up cause I kinda pigged out on Thursday then Drank and pizza on Friday and Drank and Nachoes on Saturday but I was down 8#!!! I think I wore jeans last week and I was bloated but that's a HUGE loss. I'll stay on the plan this week and see what happens next week. I'll check in later. Come out come out wherever you are!

Hey gals, Not much new here. Still struggling. My Grandpa is doing better but they still aren't sure what's wrong & my Grandma argues with them everyday about him staying in the hospital longer-so far she's winning. Life is busy. Work is insane right now.

Belle, happy late b-day. Glad you had a wonderful day. Good luck with the big move.

Robin, you're pics are great. Your son is so cute.

Tonya, glad to hear you're rolling along! Keep is up!

KT, 8lbs!!! WOW!! That rocks! Keep it up!

"Hey" to allyou other gals. Tlak to you later.

I had my WI yesterday and also thought I was going to be up as well. I had Emerils smothered porkchops on Tuesday, a grilled hamburger with swiss cheese, mushrooms and teriyaki sauce another night and then THREE (OMG, I ate 3!!) homemade chocolate cinamon rolls.

Nope.....I was down 1.8 pounds. I just don't get it.

I hate my scale. I HATE, HATE, HATE my scale! This morning, I climbed on it and it said I was up 3lbs. I've been POP for a week...how is that possible? So I climbed on again....back down at what it was 2 days ago. 3rd time....I'm up 3lbs....4th time....same as the 2nd. ARGHHHH! How frustrating. I've only been OP a week and I don't expect miracles but I'd like to know that the 4lbs I thought I was down was for real. I'm really frustrated. I must save up for a new scale.

Belle - swing dancing lessons sound wonderful...I'm so jealous.

Robin - find anything good at Penney's?

Tonya - what does "back counting points" mean? Thanks for keeping us updated on your progress - you always inspire me.

KT - CONGRATULATIONS GIRL! 8lbs is amazing! Keep up the good work.

Just took a circuit training class in the gym at work - what a blast! They offer it 4 times a week and it is free! I'm going to make sure I go at least once or twice (can't go all 4 times 'cuz it is offered on only 2 days and I don't get 2 lunch hours per day..boo-hoo).

WinterGirl ~ I just meant that I am back to counting points instead of guessing at what I am eating.

Rina - your Grandma sounds like she knows what she needs. Hope they find out what's wrong soon.
Wendy - Homemade chocolate cinn rolls sound great - Maybe you just burned them off? Oh, well, we can be happy with the losses
Laura - it's your scale, it sucks. Find a good one at a gym or maybe at your doctor's office (you know, the ones with the sliding weights) they'll be more accurate. Remember to weigh yourself at the same time of day every time.
Kier - good going! Keep it up.

Such a boring workday today. I have to wait for everything I do to print and have nothing to do while I wait. Except surf. What a great job!

Tonya - Here I thought you had some new fangled way of counting points that would work miracles. Had to laugh at myself when I read your explanation.

Kier - I think journaling is a great idea. It really will make you more concious of your choices. Just counting points won't do that. Congrats on the loss.

KT - yup the scale sucks. I just never realized how badly because I haven't used it in years. Didn't weigh myself for years and when I started WW I would only weigh at WI. Can't decide if I'm going to use the gym scale (would have to be during the day with clothes on in the middle with a bunch of coworkers looking on) or if I should just save up (or splurge!) and get a good scale for home.

Rina - Hope work calms down and your Grandpa gets better.

Wendy - Did you have to mention cinamon rolls? I've been dreaming about my grandma's made-from-scratch cinamon rolls since I read your post.

Am going to meet CB in the cafe for a pop break. One of the benefits of working in the same company as your BF. Hee-hee.

I wanted to make a short term goal but St Patricks day is only 20 days away (woohoo) does anyone know when easter is?
Enjoy your break Laura and now they have scales which tell you your *GULP* body fat content

I just bought a Tanita Body Fat and Weight scale. I really like it. It cost $70.00, but I think it was worth it. Cheap scales = fluctuating results!!

Tonya - I was just reading about the Tanita scales on their website. I'm seriously contemplating it. I might stroke out after another scale day like today....plus I can get it at a discount through my 2nd job....finally....it pays to be a cashier for a sporting goods store!

Tonya - does it measure body fat? They say that's a more accurate way to measure how well a weight loss program is going.
