I tried to post earlier but my computer wigged out on me.

Jayne - I'm so sorry to hear that "grandma" isn't quite herself. You're allowed to have an online cry - it's ok. It's a shame that anyone has to go through any pain.
Your family is in my thoughts.

Belle - WOO HOO! Baby Carmen gets a happy dance!
Glad to hear the good news. It'll be great to have her home during the holidays. Nothing like a new baby to add to the family. Awesome!

Jen - the cake & pizza sounds delish! I've got to say that I had Chuck E. Cheese pizza for the first time yesterday. No comment.
My good friends are expecting their baby in May too ... May 30th. They are so excited and going to make GREAT parents!

KT - I'm excited about Halloween too. It's my favorite holiday I think. I'm going to be a butterfly this year. And I didn't buy any candy, but my dad's birthday is tommorrow and I'm going to make him a Halloween cake.

Rina - I'm going to go check out your pix. I love to look at things like that. Thanks for posting them!

Well, girls - I too have PMS. Way before my time too I think. My boobs really hurt. The funny thing is taht I started taking Evening Primrose Oil to help w/ the PMS symptoms about 2 months ago and before my boobs rarely hurt during PMS but I had other severe other symptoms (lethargic, moody, depressed, retention). Now my boobs hurt 2 weeks before, but I have none of the other terrible symptoms (thank god!). Weird.

Gonna get going. I have class tonight - time to get some work done.

Hi to anyone I missed!

Hi everyone! Sorry to have been AWOL the past few days- I had a car accident Monday evening on my way home from the lab (rain, windy mountain roads, and me do not make a good combination apparently). I'm blaming it on the time change. I'm ok, but my car may be totalled. The estimated repair cost id pushing half the value of the car, at which point it's a write-off as far as insurance goes. So the insurance folks are supposed to send someone out to look at it and decide if it's worth fixing or not. I hope it's fixable. Because of the mess with that, I didn't get any exercise in Monday or Tuesday, but I did go for a long walk this afternoon. Eating is still not perfect, but it is getting better. At least I have not really had to tell anyone hear about the wreck because one of my housemates has a big mouth and the story precedes me. It would be a pain to bring up (Guess what? I'm a terrible driver and I got in a wreck!). Now instead everyone is all "I hear you had a terrible accident, are you ok?" Yippee for gossipy housemates!

Some of my housemates and I are going to wander around the main street in town in full costume for Halloween. I'm going as Cinderella and one of the other girls is going as Little Red Riding Hood. So it's a fairy tale theme. The guys have refused to do costumes and are going to hand out the candy (As long as I don't have to!). I'm kind of relieved they aren't going out. Our house situation is getting a little weird. There are six of us in this program, and we all share a house. 3 guys, 3 girls. One of the girls keeps sort of trying to pair the other two of us off with two of the boys. We aren't sure why, except that maybe she has a thing for guy #3 and is trying to make us look semi-taken or something. I don't know. Anyway, it is getting to be a PAIN. I am getting particularly peeved because the guy she is always trying to sort of pair me with is our TA, and I really don't want him to think I am interested or something because he's very cool as friends and it would get sticky and awkward if he thought I was after him because he does do some of our grading and whatnot. Last night she was suggesting we get the guys to do costumes that would match ours- a wolf for little red riding hood and prince charming for me. And of course she said that TA should go as PC. Ok, that was all kind of long and I don't even know if it really makes sense. It's just that she is ALWAYS making comments like that. Not five minutes before she had made some comment that I got in a wreck because I wasn't paying attention to the road and was driving under Bridal Veil Falls (a touristy waterfall near our house) and thinking about how much I love TA. I mean, really, are we still in high school here? The other girl in the house and I are ready to kill her.

Belle- Carmen is adorable!

Jayne- Sorry to hear about the grandma-in-law. I'll keep your family in my prayers.

Laura- The ode made me laugh! Maybe everyone here PMSing would explain why

Rina- Mmmm, I LOVE ketchup chips. Good thing they don't sell them here in the states or I would be a goner.

Deb- A butterfly sounds cute. You'll have to post some pics of that.

Jen-L- Happy b-day to Emma.

Kirsty- Someone left mozzarella cheese and tomato in out fridge last night and at first I thought it was mold growing on the tomato. Terrible, no? Of course, considering some of the other things I've found in there, not a surprising conclusion (ask me about the flourescent red hummus sometime!)

Hi to anyone I may have missed!
