  • Jayne, I heard that about your Senator. OK, weird thing hubby told me last week. Don't remember what state this was in, but this lady that is on the ballet died suddenly a couple months ago and they are refusing to take her name off the ballet. How can they do this?? So people are all upset because it will cost several millions to re-do the election if she wins, and supposedly she is in the top running. Weird mess.
  • That's what the dilemma is here...there are thousands of absentee ballots already in that may have voted for Wellstone...and so should they keep his name on the ballot and let the Governor (Ventura -- how scary) appoint someone to serve his term? Should they let the Democrats sub in whoever they want for Wellstone? Or should they disreguard the absentee ballots that already voted for Wellstone and just change all the ballots to reflect a new Democrat candidate? It's kind of big because of how close the Senate majority is these days. Anyway...I had a talk with hubby and told him I'm really failing in my motivation and I feel like if I don't just do this and get it over with for once and for all, I'll never do it and I'll struggle with my weight and be miserable the rest of my life. We decided that no matter the cost, going back to the meetings ( with the long drive and everything) was worth anything for the way it motivates and supports me. I did pretty well on my own for these past months, but I'm all worn out and I need the meeting support. I really feel like you girls were a tremendous motivating force to me, and I don't think I could have even done what I did without you.

Ok, enough with the mush...have a great weekend, everyone!
