Okay Turtles,
I'm back on track. After not weighing in last week because I knew I had put on weight, I had a great week----lots of exercise and very good eating. My WI was 191.8# which puts me down a smidge from the week before that. With a great attitude, I'll break 190# yet!!!!!! :
Here's to feeling a tiny bit hungry if that helps us lose weight! What is your best tip to keep on losing weight or on getting back on track.
Judy
234.6/191.8/189 and finally breaking 190# I can do it!!!!!!!
Judy: Great job! You are doing so good! You will be below 190 very very soon I just know it!
Bandit: I am eager to go to TOPS tonight... I have to run home after work and quick mow the yard because they are calling for rain here all weekend and it needs to be mowed badly but hopefully I will get done in time and head down for the meeting...
Not much is new here... just chugging along. Have a great day all!
Princess
Princess1122~ Haha! Bad storms= my cat practically in my armpit!
Itryharder~ I really like the almond and popcorn idea! Congrats on your weight loss!
bandit2~ Week is going well so far, how is yours?
My mom took over the computer all night last night, so I wasn’t able to get on a check everything. My day went okay, as the landlord was happy with how clean I’ve been keeping the house, but upset with my now ex-roommate, who baled on me in April and has not been paying the landlord her half of the rent. She thinks that because she’s not living there, she doesn’t have to pay, but her name is on the lease until July just like mine…
No soda again! 5 days without any soda is definitely a record for me!
Princess - hope you made it to your meeting, think you will like it.
Kim - glad your week is going well. Mine is too.
Was down 1.5# last night and gave my presentation, which went really well - lots of questions and joining in from members, which was great. I was pretty nervous, but got throught it. Sometimes good to have to step out of your comfort zone & public speaking is alittle unnerving for me. Anyway, good evening overall.
Going bowling tonight with my ladies group - 10 pin - should be a laugh.
On Thurs from 9 to 11, bowling plus shoes are free for ladies - which is even better. Get some excercise as well, we will probably get in 3 games (4 ladies per lane) and throwing those big balls for 2 hours should be good for us.
Hi Turtles,
I wish I could WI today. I'm down 2#!!!! Yay! Now my job is to keep that weight off through eating lunch out tomorrow, having our cowboy mystery party on Saturday, going to a baby shower on Sunday and having my women's group final get together/dinner on Tuesday. Egads! I think I should WI on Tuesday morning this week. I'll have to think about that.
In the meantime, Yay and to KimL for getting through all those days without soda. Good for you!
Bandit, that's a : if I ever saw one! ANd congrats on public speaking and keeping your meeting moving along.
All goes well today. Am coping with the hives and doing my best. Right now I'm eating under points to see if I can knock off some more weight and break through the 190# plateau. I'd love to do that this week. :
Good luck and : to all the turtles!
Judy
234.6/191.8/189 and closer to goal
bandit2~ Bowling is so fun! Did you have a good laugh? I know I average at least 3 gutterballs per string! Congrats on 1.5lbs.!
Princess1122~ Thank you! I would call today a successful Day #6 without any soda.
Itryharder~ Wow! You’re super busy over the next week! Just keep doing what you’re doing and you’ll see that loss plus a little more next week! Any idea on what the hives are from? Thank you for the bravo!
I’m calling today a successful Day #6 without any soda! I also made some amazing Weight Watchers homemade chicken tenders tonight with sides of broccoli and sweet potato fries for dinner. Dad had an issue with the seasoning I put on the tenders, but he just scraped it off and still ate all the chicken. Success when Dad cleans his plate (minus the breading)!
Good Morning all and a very Happy Friday to everyone!
They are calling for rain all weekend so I got my yard work done last night, mowed the grass and got some marigolds planted in the veggie garden to keep pests away. They garden is a bit smaller this year then in years past but I am hoping that it will be more manageable. Now if I can just keep those pesky hail storms away that seem to do so much damage every year just when things get going .
I went to TOPS last night, my youngest DS went with me which I thought was nice so I did not have to go alone. He seemed to enjoy it though... it was all women and most of them were older so even though there was no one his age or gender he took it all in good stride. I was super nervous about weighing in at the end of the day since I would have three meals plus snacks and gallons of water in me but it was not as bad as I thought, actually not at all. Maybe I need to mow the grass before every W/I... LOL. So I will update my ticker even though the numbers are super ugly, I have gained back almost every pound that I had lost... oh well, have to start some where... right?
Bandit: I think that I will like TOPS a lot! It is so much more personal than WW was... not that I am slamming WW but this group was small, maybe 10 in all and they welcomed me with open arms... each one made it a point to say hello, etc. It was a nice feeling. They also do activities, etc together, fund raisers to pay for the facility fee, dinner out once in a while and a pot luck style meeting so that everyone can try different low cal meal options. I thought it was great!
Judy: You are doing so awesome! You do sound busy and as always your Mystery Party sounds fabulous! I am so sorry that you are dealing with hives! Can the doctors give you something to help get them under control?
Kim: Great job on the meal! It sounds like it was a huge success! How were the sweet potato fries? I have never tried them although I have the recipe somewhere I think...
Everyone have a great day and a wonderful weekend!
Princess1122~ Sweet potato fries are awesome! There are a couple companies that make frozen ones now that you can bake. I don't mind making them from scratch, but have found the frozen ones to be a lot crisper, plus, a HUGE time saver.
No soda again today!!! One whole week, 7 days, with NO soda!!! PLUS! I did not have any fried food at work tonight! Resisting temptation all over the place! SWEET! Hopefully when I have a bad spell it won't equal trying to make up for all my soda and fried food free days...
Hi Turtles,
Congrats to Princess for posting here and getting to TOPS while you were still lower than your original starting weight. From my experience, many people eat past their starting weight, gain more, and are reluctant to start over, so I consider you Weigh to go for taking care of yourself!
KimL, and for you accomplishment! Duh. I never thought of buying frozen fries and making them. I make sweet potato fries from scratch=----but your way sounds better.
Okay Guys==I've gotta run, but I'll start a new thread before I do. All of a sudden we've gotten long.
Judy
