Myra, I think it's a great idea to post our journals. For me it served a twofold purpose: kept me journalling, and gave me new ideas when my menus became stale. Count me in definitely...I'll start posting on Jan. 2nd. And, hey, great job on the one pound loss! That definitely took some work at this time of year!

Dianne, I'm glad your Christmas was good. Little Joseph sounds like a character!

Terri, hope your visit is going well. How do you like the weather?

Essie, saw that you checked out egroups. I've just visited there; intend to give it more time when this holiday season is over.

I hope all of our group continues to come back here and contribute in the new year. We all know how easy it can be to "fall by the wayside"....gotta make the effort to keep this up!

~Jen

Jen, you should join e-groups. The I belong to three ww support groups there -- wwab, wwsupport and VeggieWeightWatchers. It is great. It is like having a meeting every day.

I hope everyone is having a great day.

Hi Guys

Just want to wish everybody a Happy New Year. I will be staying home. My oldest sister will be spending it with me & Pete. My son always stays home.

Well, according to the news we are expecting quite a bit of snow starting Saturday morning I am going food shopping tomorrow morning.

I will be posting more often after New Years. It's been a little hectic around here but fun. Haven't been OP, journaled or exercised but that will be changing soon. Right after work Tuesday I'm rejoining WW. I'm really looking forward to it.

Terri, Myra, Jen, Dianne, have a safe holiday.

God Bless

Hi Essie:

It looks like anywhere from 6-15 inches are predicted for us tomorrow -- YUK! We were supposed to go out for New Year's Eve to see 4 men named Jose and a woman named Maria, and then Tito Puente, Jr.'s band was supposed to play and dancing, etc. -- Don't think that's gonna happen, LOL. Oh, well, to be honest, I prefer to stay home or go to my sister's house. We'll see what happens with the weather.

I too have not been on program, but will be back at ww the first Sunday after the New Year. I'm looking forward to getting back on track and back to losing. WE CAN DO IT!!!

Hi, Jen, Terri and Myra --hope you are all well. Happy New Year!!!

Dianne,

That's too bad about your plans. Is Puente's son as good as his Dad was? My 2 sisters were saying that they don't make latin music like they useto. Then they started reminiscing. It was pretty cool.

I looked at my face this morning & thought,
dag, it's looking kind of round! No problem though, I'll be back on track in 3 more days. I want to lose 15 lbs by my birthday, April 26th. I can do it. We can do what ever we set our minds to do. Right?

Let me go browse a bit.

Goodnight

Hi!

Met an old friend for lunch today....at 1:00, didn't get home till 6 p.m. We talked and talked....which was very good 'cause it wasn't easy to eat while doing all that talking! Had a Cobb salad with dressing on the side for dipping....while I'm not counting the points, it was better than a burger (at least I'm trying to justify it!)

We've been getting snow since last night, however it's "only" amounted to about 3 inches so far. When I look at the 17 or so we've already got, this seems like nothing!

We're going to my bro's house on Sunday night...it'll be just the 4 of us, a quiet evening.

I'm joining WW on Tuesday am., there's a meeting at 9:30, so Tuesday will be my weigh in day. I'm looking forward to it. We will all be awesome in the coming year!

Have a very safe and happy New Year.....Dianne, Essie, Myra, and Terri.

~Jen

Hello

Jen, that was nice to spend quality time with your friend. What's a cobb salad?
We are getting all the snow now. I was so worried before My son went out with his friend last night to a club in Manhattan, The Copa, and he knew the weather was going to be bad, so he was supposed to leave me a message (e-mail) when he got home & I had no message at 7:30 am. No matter how old they are we always worry. Well, he just sent me an IM that he got home a little while ago. He said he should have listened to me. The roads are so bad. Now I'll be worried about Pete!!!! He gets out of work at 1:00 pm.

We are rejoining the same day. I have to go after work, the 5:15 meeting. I never went on a Tuesday. If I like the leader that'll be my weigh-in day too. I'm looking forward to it. I'm afraid to step on the scale. I know I've gained!!!!! I can't go anywhere today with all the snow. Gives me time to exercise.

Have a great day

Essie, I know what you mean about worrying about the kids, no matter what their age. Mothers must be born worriers.

Are you snowed in yet? We've received about 5 more inches, as far as I can tell. This is going to be one long winter!

I'm with you,...I'll stick w/the Tuesday meeting only if I like the leader. I've got the luxury of checking out many different times/days, so I intend to find the one that does me the most good.

A Cobb salad is my favorite: a big platter of greens, then rows on top consisting of: turkey, hard boiled egg, avocado, black olives, blue or Roquefort cheese, and bacon. Yumm. Of course it's high in points with the bacon, cheese, etc., but I don't have it often.

Dianne, how's the snow? The weather reports are pretty bad for New York, and the east coast. Just settle in and enjoy!

Hi to Myra and Terri!

have a good day
~Jen

Here about an hour north of NYC we have had between 1 1/2 and 2 feet of snow. It is incredible. With the drifts I can't even see our cars anymore any less think of using them. I hope this isn't a sign of what the rest of the winter is going to be like.

Hi guys:

Essie: I honestly haven't heard Tito Puente, Jrs. band but I think it all the old members of his dad's band with a few new people thrown in, so its probably pretty good -- but of course, Tito was the king, so......... How did you like the foot of snow we got yesterday? I'm afraid to drive today, looks kind of icey out there. We definitely changed our plans to go to the city, instead we're going to some old friends house - they live about 10 mins. from us. I don't want to go far.

This will be the first time without our two youngest kids with us. My son, 19 lives in the city and he's going to a party with some friends, and my daughter (17) is going the the Marc Anthony New Year's Eve concert at Madison Square Garden. She lovesssssssssssss Marc. I'm a little worried about that, I told her she and her friend should leave the city right after the concert, I'm afraid of the Times Square area, drunks, etc. so I'll be worried until she reaches home tonight. It's funny, because at her age, I was going to Time Square to see the ball drop, but for some reason, it seems different to me, LOL.
Hope you have a nice evening with your sister and your family.

Jen - Your lunch with your friend sounds like it was great. I have a friend from baby hood -- we actually lived in the same building since we were babies and she was in my wedding and I in hers. Its funny, because even her husband lived in the same building with us and we all played together. She then met him again years later and married him (she couldn't stand him when we were kids, LOL). Anyway, she and I have kept in touch and we have a very special friendship. We can talk for hours on end. I hope you enjoy your New Years Eve with your family.

Terri -- where are you???? I know you must be enjoying your family in Ohio. Happy and healthy New Year to you all.

Myra -- keep up the good work! Happy New Year to you too.

Well, guys on this last day of the year 2000, may we all enjoy our families and friends (and I count you all as my friends)and have a great new year. Watch out ww, here we come!

Hi

How is everybody feeling New Years Day? I'm feeling pretty good. Right after 12:00 my sister went home. She was pretty tired. I went to sleep around 2:00 am. It was quiet & peaceful.

Tomorrow is my target date for WW & exercise. I really need to try hard this time. I don't feel good about myself when I slip or see that I'm not trying as hard as I should. I hope this slight change in WW gives me a boost. I'm going to exercise 35 - 45 minutes 4 days a week. I guess with the new program the first 20 minutes in exercise is counted as 1 pt? We don't have to wait till after 20 minutes? I useto be at the 18-27 range now it'll be 25?
Any information you can give me will be helpful. I want a head start

Well ladies, hope everyone has a nice relaxing day today.

Terri, can't wait to hear from you.

Myra, hope you're not snowed in. We got quite a bit. It's all turning to ice now

Dianne, Jen, are you ready to ROCK?!!!

Have a great day
Essie

Happy New Year everyone!

Essie - I'm definitely ready to rock! Started my morning off right with cereal. Got to the office and someone set up a whole row of food across the file cabinets! Didn't even want to look -- just asked if there was fruit and took a pear from the whole kit-and-kaboodle. Trying to be strong. I feel this determination and I'm not letting anything get to me for this day only. I'm taking this one day at a time, so I don't overwhelm myself.

Had a quiet New Year's Eve with old friends -- didn't get to sleep until 3:30 though, had to wait until my daughter was safe and sound at home.

Well, this is a new year and a new start for all of us -- Good luck to us all -- WE CAN DO IT!!!

Have a great on-program (whatever the program now is!) day, Jen, Essie, Terri and Myra.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Good health and happiness to all of you

Okay, ladies, are we ready? I joined WW (again!) this morning. I'll be attending the Tuesday morning meetings; was very happy to see the leader that I like does this meeting. I don't see the need to check out other leaders, looks as tho it was meant to be!

To me the changes in the program aren't that earth-shattering. I find the food list in the week 1 book to be much easier to use than the old one was.

My starting weight is 224.yuck. http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//sick.gif enough said.

Myra and Essie, how have you held up under all that snow? You really got socked with it!

Myra, I started a journal for this week, let's see how it goes, we may want to change the time frame as needed.

Dianne, good choice on taking the pear! That's the right kind of thinking; a few more choices like that and it'll start becoming a habit!

Terri, hope you're reading, we miss you!

Here's to a wonderful, warm, Tuesday!

~Jen

Hey Jen, congrats on re-joining ww -- don't worry, that number will go down before you know it. 3 cheers for you, girl! I will be back at ww this Sunday.

Do we really get less points to use in the new program and are carrots now counted as 1 pt. per cup or something? Also, someone mentioned that you get more points for the first 20 mins of exercise???? Oh, well, I'm impatient. I will wait for Sunday and get all the info and new material. Whatever the program, I've got to get back on track, for sure. I did pretty good today, actually used less than the full points in my range. Just need to keep that up, LOL, and I'll be fine.

Hi Essie, Terri and Myra. Talk to you soon.

Hello Y'all ~

I don't know how many of you remember me ~ I've been gone for so long and there are so many new "faces" here. I hope that you will "take me back" I've been doing so badly with my dieting since I've disappeared from here.

Ok, I lost 47 pounds last year ~ went from 209 to 162. I stopped posting on 3FC back in the late part of the summer (I think) and since then, I've put back on 28 of those 47 pounds!! http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//crying.gif Is that pitiful or what??????? I was lost....I have no idea what on earth made me do this....and to be honest, the support and friends I had here was what helped me.......so here I am, crawling back to you all and, joining WW again tomorrow evening.

Ok, I'm here and not leaving again......

Zoe ~ Soaking up the "SON" in Texas
