Hi Everybody I was anxious for word on DEE so I phoned her house and her sister was there. She said, that they (I guess other family members) were waiting too to hear how things had gone. She said, she contacted the hospital, and was told that DEE was ok and that her DH would likely be bringing her home around 9:00. It's 10:00 here now and I still have not heard from DEE's DH so thought I would share this information with you in case it's all I get tonight. If I hear anything further this evening I will come back.......good night for now.
Hi Everybody DEE's husband just called. DEE did not have the procedure done until 3:30. She is home and he said she is fine. She will not get the results of the angiogram until Monday when she sees her doctor. Ok, we can all get to bed now.
Glenda..had a chuckle on the Oakie with no teeth.. http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//lol.gif It is the same with us Canadians. We are perceived as living in Igloos, all walking around, drinking beer and saying "EH" a lot, with bad French accents. Not true. Lela..you have a good start with the .8 down, WTG. Margot..That is great your hubby is down 17 lbs. Does he go to meetings with you, or follow the plan at home? The both of you are doing so well. Dee..Doesn't it do your heart good to see how we are all pulling for you? We all want you to get better. http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//love.gif Maria..It must be a relief for you knowing your Daughter would like you to drive to Melbourne with her. They want to be independant, but really would like the help. Good on you mate! (I think that is what "Mick Dundee" said - am I right?) http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//lol.gif
Well it is late, and I am not tired, so I will see what is on TV, maybe a good movie will appear, who knows... Good Night all.
It is late saturday afternoon and i am waiting for some visitors and thought I would check the update. Good to hear all would seem to be well with Dee , have a good relax now you deserve it. Trudy you were spot on, other than we spell it 'onya mate' good ol' aussie slang!!!
Cheers all, visitors are in the drive :
Maria
I'm awfully glad to hear things went well for Dee. This is going to be a busy weekend - purposely, so I don't sit arround too much and start snacking - so thought I would just check in first thing. Have a "g'day" all.
Happy Weekend to all,
I too was glad to hear Dee was okay after the procedure. Hope she doesn't feel like she's been through the wringer like these tests do make you feel sometime. It'll be good to know the results on Monday, Dee. Prayers are still with you for a positive report. http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//love.gif
Geri: I was reading the today's paper about 7 escapees that are roaming your area. Yikes! You take extra care when you're out and about. http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//nervous.gif Lela: Great WI report for you! Glenda: Good to see you. Sounds like you had a wonderful holiday. Glad the ice storm didn't "dampen" spirits. http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//lol.gif Karen: I'll be settling down in about an hour to watch the New Orleans Saints/Minn. Vikings playoff game. I'm not a real fan that watches weekly games, but I do enjoy the playoffs when a "home" team is involved. GOOOOO SAINTS!! Marsha: My DH commuted to Lake Charles for about 4 years. He worked for AGC and ABC (construction associations). He sure is glad those days are over.
DH, DD, and I are leaving tomorrow morning for Little Rock, AR to check out the college there that Missy will be transferring to in the fall. She's having to take an ASL placement test (sign language) on Tues. I'm trying to prepare myself to send "my baby" off to school in August. My son has officially moved out this week. And 20-year-old daughter is temporarily living in my sister's condo that she is trying to sell. "Empty nest" is coming real fast! http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//nervous.gif Not sure how I'll handle that!!
Next Sat. I'll be heading to Gulf Shores, AL to visit my brother and family. They just had a new baby in Oct. who we have not seen yet. I'll check in when we return from AR on Tues. night.
DEE SO glad you are home and things went well will be thinking of you
I'm off to the groc. store this morning I sure wish I could find a way to stay out of them it still takes me a lot of willpower not to buy all the goodies .
Josie Where are you at i still have 4 hours untill game time it:s 11 here now
I remember the frist time one of my kids left home I cried like a baby DS when in to the navy then when my DD left I really cried she is the baby and I wasn't ready for her to go. Brithday never brother me but when the baby left it sure made me feel old.
but you can handle it and in a way it made me and DH even closer we had to start doing things together more , No more kids in and out running here an there.
guess I've talk long enough need to get to the store so I'll be back for the game and it's 30 mile to the only big grocery store in the area.
Lela

Josie I guess I was having one of those moment when I ask where you lived if the viking are your home state team and they are in Minn guess where that puts you
and on top of that some how i missed that a game came on at 11:00 I only saw the 3 o'clock game listed
so now I will miss one game good luck to your team
Hi Everybody DEE called to today, and although she was very tired she was doing ok. Her Mom was going to spend the day with her. Margot congrat's to you and your hubby, you are both doing well in the weight loss department. It's funny how men lose faster then women. http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//umm.gif Lela good for you too, almost another pound gone forever. Josie lots of changes going on in your life. Since we only had one child when he moved out we did have an empty nest. Somehow though they always come around, and then they bring THEIR babies and its fun all over again. Enjoy your 2 minute break because that's how quickly the time between them leaving and then coming to visit with adorable grandchildren seems, in mind to take.
DH and I are going out again tonight for dinner at another friend's house, and I'm looking forward to the evening. I made some muffins, and cranberry bread buns to take as a hostess gift and impress her with culinary ways with my bread machine (she has had one for years and is very good at using it)....YIKES the only ones I am going to impress are the birds I think.
My friend and her husband arrived in Maui last night and she called me today to let me know all is well with Maui LILY . She was also calling to see how DEE made out yesterday. My Son called a short while ago my sweet DIL was taking stuff donwstairs into the basement, thought she was one the last step (uh uh one more to go) fell and sprained her ankle. BROTHER
I tried to save most of my points for dinner tonight so we'll see how that goes. I hope you all have a lovely evening. Talk to you later.

Slavika: You have such an active social life. My head http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//spinning.gif keeping up with your activities. You and DH sure do have alot of friends and enjoy life to its fullest! Sounds like you have that old bread machine down pat now.
Dee: Hope you're gaining some strength as you recoup from yesterday's procedure. Did your DH have to leave today? You're still in my thoughts! {hug} {hug}
Lela: I'm in Louisiana and I was pulling for the New Orleans Saints. Karen lives in Minnesota. Her Vikings whipped those Saints! Not ashamed, though. This is the first time they have ever made it to the playoffs in the 34-yr history of the team. LA was quite proud of them!
Maria: Did you have a swim today? It's hard to imagine swimming on the other side of the globe when we're trying to keep warm. Today was gorgeous here, but is supposed to get cold again.
Geri: I'll try to be online around 9 or 9:30 if you can make it. Anyone else has AOL IM?
Hello to everyone else. I'll "see" you on Tues. night or Wed.
It is 3.15 sunday afternoon here. It is quite a warm day again, I am having an extremely lazy day today, basically just hanging around watching the tennis, doing a bit of knitting (haven't knitted for yonks, dd asked if I would knit her a jacket, quite enjoying it now that I have started). Got a low point dinner ready for when dh comes home from watching cricket. DH and I will go for a long walk after dinner tonight
I am quite looking forward to my second ww meeting next Tuesday, I have been very strictly OP and feel very positive that I would have started the downward trend towards my goal weight
Cheers all
Maria
