G'day all

Thought it was time to start a new thread.
Slavika those meatballs must be very popular if you have a need to make 9 million . Recipe???????
Trudy the link you mentioned is good fun, I sent it to my son, it could have been him Not a day goes by that he doesn't work out, I'd like to say he takes after me .
That blizzard sounds very ominous, hope you don't have any damage and are able to keep warm.
It is here 1.30 saturday afternoon on a very hot day. I had a bike ride first thing this morning when it was still a little cool. DH went out and came home about 11ish and wanted to go for a swim. We walked down and had a 'dip' and sat on the beach just watching some little kids building sand castles, had another swim and came home, all very relaxing. Still no rain, we have not had rain for 36 days
We are having NO visitors tonight, just the two of us I know I shouldn't complain but the past few months I have visitors for dinner several times a week. Trying to keep OP is difficult. If not for this board I would be way of track, at least I am not putting any on.
By the way congratulations on your new president.
Have a great weekend and keep warm, I shall attempt to stay cool
Cheers
Maria

Ok MARIA maybe I didn't make quite 9 million meat balls but it felt like it.
DH and I went to a friend's place for dinner this evening and they live about 20 miles out of town. The weather is starting to get bad so we left a little earlier then we would normally have. Looks like we are going to get a lot of snow but the winds haven't picked up yet.
We are planning on having 12 people over tomorrow night so I sure hope the weather is ok. GEEZ~~~~~me and 9 million meatballs.
TRUDY I'm back and safe and sound. You guys were smart staying home tonight.
Night all.

Hi Girls
It's freezing out side. We made a quick trip to the grocery store and picked up a couple of movies at the movie place and now we are staying in until the weather gets better. Not too much snow but the wind chill is going to be 40 to 70 below 0. With wind like that the snow we do have is going to make travel bad.

Finally got my tree put up yesterday and was able to move all the presents from my bedroom. Little children have not been over yet maybe later.

Just wanted to post this little story for you. Some of you may have heard it as it was floating around the internet a few years ago. I'm going to use it for tis weeks meetings.

Funny Mother

See mother, see mother laugh, mother is happy. Mother is happy about Christmas. Mother has many plans for Christmas. Funny , funny mother.
See mother, see mother smile. Mother is happy. The shopping is all done. See the children watch TV . Watch children watch. See the children change their minds. See them ask Santa for different toys. Look , look, mother is not smiling. Funny , funny mother.
See mother , see mother sew. Mother will make dresses. Mother will make robes. Mother will make shirts. See mother put the zipper in wrong. See mother sew the dress on the wrong side. See mother cut the shirt too short. See mother put the material away till January. Look, look, see mother take a tranquillizer. Funny, funny mother.
See mother, see mother buy raisins and nuts. See mother buy candied pineapple and powdered sugar. See mother buy flour and dates and pecans and brown sugar and babanas and spices and vanilla. Look , look mother is mixing everything together. See the children press out cookies. See the flour on their elbows. See the cookies burn. See the cake fall. See the children pull taffy. See mother pull her hair. See mother clean the kitchen with the garden hose. Funny funny mother.
See mother, see mother wrap presents. See mother look for the end of the scotch tape roll. See mother bite her finger nails. Go mother , go. See mother go faster. Run mother, run. See mother trim the tree. See mother have a party. See mother make popcorn. See mother wash the walls. See mother scrub the rug. See mother tear up the organized plan. See mother forget gift for Uncle Harold. See mother get hives. Go mother go. See the far away look in mothers eyes. Mother has become disorganized. Mother has become disoriented. Funny funny mother.
It's finally chrismas morning. See the happy family. See father smile. Father is happy. Smile father smile. Father loves fruit cake. Father loves Christmas pudding. Father loves all his new neckties. Look, look see the children's toys. Santa was very good to the children. The children will remember this christmas.
See mother. Mother is slumped in a chair. Mother is crying uncontrollably. Mother does not look well. Mother has ulgy dark circles under her eyes. Everyone helps mother to her bed. See mother sleep quietly under heavy sedation. See mother smile. Funny, Funny Mother.
Enjoy the holiday time ,but, don't be like funny, funny mother.... we all need to take a little time for ourselves .

Hi Ladies, Guess I've been away too long, I come into night to see how everyone is doing and there are so many new people here. I still need to go back and read all the post to see how everyone is doing and what has been going on the last few weeks.

School is out untill the 2nd of Jan. So I have some time to do some of the things I've been putting off for so long.

I got a late brithday present this week in the mail it's a hour and half video of my grandson, He is changing so much and now at 10 months is walking.

Ladies I have to get back on program, I'm sorry to say I've been a very bad back slider these last few weeks. and it is starting to show. I'm going to try and start back to the meeting on Monday, hpefully the program (what ever that is going to be will help me also).

A big hello to all you new ladies that I have yet to meet, I'm going to close for now and go read all the post on try to catch up on what and how everyone is doing
Later Lela

G'day all

We actually had rain yesterday , a whole 1 mm of the wet stuff! Not a great deal but better than nothing. Today back to being hot again.
I have sent an email to WW finding out where the nearest meeting place is in my area. I am seriously thinking of going back, I don't seem to be getting too far on my own
In view of the new changes it could be a good time for me to join again.
My daughter is getting married in 12 months time and I desperately want to loose these access 30 pounds.
Boy the weather you guys are having is certainly making headlines here, it looks horrendous.
Hi Lela nice to meet you.
Take care all.
Cheers
Maria

Hi Everybody Another -30 C temp for us today and DH and I went looking for a Christmas tree (a real one). Well it was soooo cold and I didn't want to go walking around to all the tree lots so we ended up with the most pathetic looking tree I have ever had. How pathetic is it you ask~~~~ well let me tell you. It is just a small tree about 5 feet, and trust me when I tell you this tree is not fat. I put all my treasured ornaments on it and the lights and it started to look not too bad. I thought I wasn't going to be able to use my lovely tree skirt that I worked so hard on because of the big base on the tree stand but it worked out fine and now my little tree isn't quite so pitiful looking.
I had a few friends in last night including TRUDY and her DH. Even DEE and her hubby made it over and happily she was having one of her good days .
We all tried not to over eat. Our last WW before Christmas is this coming Tues.
LELA Hi there, enjoy your time off school and Maria enjoy your lovely warm weather....glad you finally got a bit of rain.
Night all.

We are all very happy that the brunt of the blizzard missed us. We got some snow and wind, however it is still cold.
Lily..You are really doing so well, another 2 lbs down WTG . I can't wait to see the new program in the new year.
Karen..Funny Mother is very FUNNY! I sure could identify with it. Thanks for the laugh, I hadn't seen it before.
Maria..I think that we need the motivation and the support we get from the WW meetings. They are worth going to.
Lela.. Hi!.. Good to hear from you again. It is never too late to get back OP. You can do it, never give up!
Slavika..With all the decorations and the lovely Tree Skirt, your tree will look just great.
...and gals, there were 9 million meatballs, plus a whole bevy of delicious appetizers, snacks and desserts, including KEY LIME PIE to die for. She is one great cook. We had a lovely evening.

Can you believe next Sunday will be Christmas eve? We're into the count down now. Have a great week, good night all.

Good Morning Ladies

Here we are just one week before Christmas. The year has flown by faster than ever. I say that every year, but it's always true. Each year seems to get shorter than the last.

I've been doing so much partying the last two weeks I'm tired of eating and can't wait to get back to normal after the first. Alas, the holidays aren't even actually here yet! I will be leaving Wednesday for my mother's in California and am taking the train this time. Meals are included, so I will have to be careful. I am of a thrifty nature, and if something is paid for, I have a hard time just leaving it.

Hello, Lela, it's nice to meet you. I hope you enjoy your break from school. What are you studying?

Good to hear you've had at least a little rain, Maria. We have rain in the forecast this afternoon, but it's barely above freezing this morning so it could actually snow if the temperature stays down.

Well, my ISP wants to disconnect me, so I had better submit this before I lose it (again!) Have a great day, all.

Karen: Loved the Funny Mother story! I can relate!

Lela: I think the meeting will help you. Does me anyways. Keeps me motivated and on track. How nice to get a Video of your grandson! I bet it was fun to watch. And its something you can watch over and over to!

Maria: Im moving to your house. Its cold here today to. Not as cold as it is else where but to cold for me. I want summer back! Glad you finally got some rain!

Slavika: I bet your tree is beautiful! The decorations make the tree anyways! And that Tree skirt probably really shows it off! Sounds like your party was a success! Probably only have 4 million meatballs left now huh?

Trudy: I knew there were at least 9 million meatballs! Slavika sounds like quite the cook! Yum Key Lime Pie to! Havent had that in a long time! Christmas is coming fast! It is hard to believe. DH finally gave me the last of his presents to be shipped today. He is even ahead of schedule this year!

Marsha: How long is the train ride gonna be? I have never been on a train, but would like to sometime. Where in CA are you going? Sure you are gonna have a great time. Always fun to visit with family.

Hi Ladies.. I have had a busy day, but I am sure I'm not the only one. I think we all turn into "Funny Mothers" this time of the year. Tomorrow we have our Christmas Party at WW. Instead of a meeting, we all bring food, and we eat. Sounds good to me. I made Salmon Tortilla Roll-Ups.

Marsha..So you have been partying for the last 2 weeks. Getting a head start on the holidays? Train travel can be fun. That is nice you're going to see your Mother. I hope you have a good Christmas.

Is that Haystack Toys pop up getting on anyone else's nerves, besides mine? Where do they get these annoying things?

Urgent things are seldom important. Important things are seldom urgent. Those are words of wisdom.

Good Night all.

Evening everyone

you know everytime I think that I'm done with shopping, I remember something else, so tomorrow its back to the mall one more time, and I hope this is the last. I have decided that for now on I will not mail gifts, but send money, for what it has cost to mail the packages this year I could have spent a lot more on the kids by just sending money.

Marsha I'm studying accounting, its what I use to do, but its been over 12 years since I'v work, so I had to go back and learn it all over again, an two I don't know that much about computer so I'm taking 120 hours in computer classes. where are you going in Ca. there is where my son is station, sure wish I was going with you.

well football is on so I will make this short , you all have a nice evening and I see you all tomorrow.

Night Lela

My DD called today and said that she had made her first presentation to a client (she is a graphic design, and is trying to start her own business}so now she is on cloud nine, even if she doesn't get this job at least she is getting her feet wet, and maybe some day it will all work out for her.

Hi Everybody I too had a busy day. This morning I made 75 blueberry perogies for my Christmas Eve Dinner. This afternoon I did a couple of different kinds of shortbread cookies and I had the Princess here for a couple of hours. I gave her a Christmas Cracker to open because I had extra and she was very excited because her's had a necklace in it.
LILY You sure are having great weight losses especially at this time of the year. Way to go.
MARSHA I would love to take a train journey one day. I have been on a train but that was a very long time ago and it was just a short ride.
TRUDY I like those "Salmon Roll-Ups" you make and am happy I will get the chance to try one tomorrow at our WW party. I wonder if other WW groups have a Leader like ours that plans a Christmas Party?
Ok gang I'm off to bed, "see" you all tomorrow. Night.

Hello everyone! I'm back from a busy pre-Christmas trip to my parents. Had a nice visit with my parents and my son and his family! We exchanged gifts and opened those. Grandkids were pleased with what they received! It was a very nice weekend. I'm now busy preparing to go to my daughter's on Friday. Laundry is almost done, the gifts are all wrapped, and it's time to start getting everything packed. I never even looked at my favorite sites online yesterday so I am making time to drop in here today. I'm not sure I will have time to get back so ...Merry Christmas!

Hi all... Our WW Christmas Party was really nice. Lots of tasty food to sample. The gals brought the recipes with the points value. Does any one else have a Party Meeting?
Lela.. I hope your daughter does well on her own. I agree about the high cost of mailing a parcel. Send money, it always fits.
Phill..It is like you are having 2 Christmases. (sp? is that a word?) Have a great Christmas with your daughter.

I weighed in at 1 lb less this week . Very happy!! Now I am 1 lb over goal. I am going to try very hard not to gain over the next 2 weeks. ...words to remember, Portion Control and Margot words, Selected Indulgences!

See you gals tomorrow... Good Night
