Hi everyone!

I've had a wonderful 3 days with Matthew, what a sweet sweet baby. Now I'm looking forward to his mom & dad picking him up today..LOL. Truly, I feel good about having had him here, and giving his parents a break. But I also feel good about him going home! That's what Grams are for, right?

I don't care for Chinese food, but my husband absolutely loves it. He would, if given the chance, eat it 4 nights a week. We usually have it once a month, always take out. Previously, due to laziness on my part, I would eat it, but now usually make something else for myself on those days when he wants it.

Hope everyone has a great weekend...see you on Monday!

Dianne, apparently we were posting at the same time this morning; I would surely have replied to your message!

I thank you for your understanding, and the insight you gave me re:your stepson. My brother is somewhat older, 44, and has been troubled for quite some time. You are right in that I have to worry about my own family; the truth is that none of us can help him.

Thanks again for the kind words.

It has been suggested to me that I do an herbal cleanse to combat a health
problem I am having. Basically it consists of taking a whole lot of high
fiber capsules as well as other capsules with herbs to help support the body
and detox my body. I also need to increase my water intake even from WW
levels -- to about 10 to 12 glasses a day (I have trouble enuf getting six
in). I plan to do this cleanse for about a week.

My question is what should I do pointwise considering all the extra fiber I
am taking in. Should I maintain a point range of 20-27 as is recommended for
my weight or up that a little? I tend to think that I would like to stay
within my current points and hopefully have a good loss. I haven't had a good
loss in quite a while. But would I be actually putting my body into
starvation mode?

Let me know what you think.

Dianne,
Glad you are back on track!!!! It is so easy to get off. As long as you get back on you are doing fantastic!

Jen,
Glad to hear you had a wonderful visit and sometimes I wish I had someone to give my kids back too. I guess that is why grandparents are so excited with grandchildren. Mommy can take back. I'll bet now you can't wait til' you get him back again!

Myra,
I would say stay in your range. I'm not an expert but that was what I did. It seemed fine!

Everyone have a great day! And Week!

Myra, I'm not knowledgeable about the herbal cleansing routines, have only heard of them. I would assume that to stay within your point range would be your best bet. You definitely don't want to "trick" your body in any way. I don't believe the extra fiber will affect what your points range should be. Good luck!

Terri, how's it going? I had intended to start posting my journal again........ ......
Well, there's always tomorrow!

We went to brunch with my bro and his wife yesterday for their anniversary. Of course it was way too much food. I know I did make some good choices, concentrated on veggies, some turkey, and, of course, dessert and champagne. All in all I feel I did better than I would have in the past. Funny how the points stay in mind, whether or not I intend to count them!

We had a great time, and got together today for a day long ride in the country, pumpkin-picking, and exploring little towns along the way.

Dianne, Essie, Mary.......how is everyone? Let's get talking here....I know I could use some feedback!

Have a great week!

I'm a "chicklet" here and trying to find my way around so please forgive what is probably a foolish question. Where can I find the recipe for the Taco Soup you are referring to? I love Taco Soup but it's always so high in fat that I don't like to waste my WW Points on it. If you have a lower fat alternative, please just aim me in the right direction and I will take it from there.

Thank you!

Jen,
It sounds like a great time. We can have a great time on WW, we have to be able to. This is for life.
