Unhappy monday morning :(

hey girls,
did everyone have a good weekend? i hope so. i drank far too much on friday night (it was free!!!) so felt rough on sat. had a quiet night at home sat, doing my nails and other girlie grooming things. sunday i did a run (well, run/walk!) and 2 hours of yoga. i am soooo stiff today. but i did manage to get my head to my knees (legs straight) and almost get my feet behind my head. hee hee! i will be supple, i will! yoga def tones up your whole body. even my chunky legs are looking slimmer.
right. best get on with work. ooh, anyone know anything about sailing? i'm going on a week's sailing course next week (up in scotland so i'm not looking forward to the man overboard drill!). what shoes should i wear? i really don't want to be slipping around on deck and fall in! BF and i are doing it together and we're staying on the boat the whole time - should be an experience! i hope it's sunny so it's warm, but windy enough so the boat moves!!
i'll try to get back later on today. hope all those doing exams are finished now and celebrated in style.

Hey everyone, happy Monday! Well, sort of, I guess. Done with exams and now it's time for a week of intensive relaxing (oxymoron of the century right there!). Hopped on the scales this morning and I have LOST 2 POUNDS! Yippee! So six to go by the 4th for that swimsuit challenge. I think maybe I can make it after all. Hope so. Anyway, I walked the dog lots this weekend and just got back from another walk now. And I'll be cleaning out my room and whatnot today, so hopeully less time to sit around and snack idly! Don't really know anything about sailing, Kirsty, but I have donequite a bit of canoeing. I generally just go for a pair of canvas tennis shoes (like keds or something), unless I'm doing the hardcore wilderness trek sort of deal. But the weather's probably quite a bit warmer here in the southern US, so you may want something a bit warmer!

Good morning!!

Its Monday, need I say more.....

Cat ~ Glad your exams are done, what a relief!!! I am starting my master's program this fall, don't know if I am ready for homework and exams again....its been 9 years!!

Kier ~ Glad your exams are done as well, now go out and party and hook up with "gorgeous guy"!! When are you back in the states? Are you doing an exchange type of program with your Uni here? And, tell me about this scooter you keep referring to? May I ask, do you have a physical ailment? (Forgive me for all the personal questions, but feel that we are friends, so you won't mind me asking!!! )

Kirsty ~ It is no shock to me that you drank too much this weekend ( ) Just remember, the older we get the longer it takes to get over the hangover!!! I don't know anything about sailing either. But, I would agree that some Keds or something would be light weight and comfortable.

Well, I was NOT OP this whole weekend, very sad, but I am moving on. I was very OP all last week, so hopefully my banked points saved me.

I am OP once again today, and will hit the treadmill again tonight. I have 4-5 pounds left for the challenge. I know I can get there.

Work is getting boring, so I am creating new and innovative projects for me to work on, and going to do lots of slacking off this summer!! So, I will be on this board in full force looking for people to talk to!!

Well, better get back to work, I will check in later!!!

I hope everyone wished their moms a happy Mom's day yesterday!!!

Hi Girls -

So far it sounds like everyone had a good weekend. I spent all day Saturday at an on-water canoeing seminar. I'm hoping to take a weekend canoeing trip later this summer - you know - after I win the lottery! I also went out with friends both Friday and Saturday night. As much as I'm enjoying going out for a change, I'm not liking that being out means I'm not putting as much effort into eating well. I'm still working out alot but feel quite bloaty and chubby the last few days. I've decided that I really need to rededicate myself this week as this weekend is my younger brother's wedding and we all know how food/booze is at weddings!

Kristy - I love girly grooming type days. I'm actually leaving work early on Wednesday to get a manicure, pedicure, facial, etc. before my brother's wedding this weekend. I don't have any advice on sailing but it sounds like it will be fun.

Kier - it's great that exams are finally over - have fun celebrating.

Cat - congrats on the 2lbs. Way to go!

Hey Becky - how was the date with BF Saturday night?

I've got a yoga class scheduled into my lunch hour so I'd better get back to work if I want to go to it.

Have a great day all.

Well Ladies I had a fun wknd but a busy one. Date with B/f was wonderful we went to AnnArbor and just walked around a bit and went to dinner at a great Italian place and I got baked spaghetti. The good news is I only ate 1/2 the bad news is I loved the bread and dipped that in olive oil Oh well with my banked pts I didn't end up over. However on Mother's day my mom made cream puffs and then we went to b/f's sisters who had bought chocolate eclaires (sp?) Need I say more Oh well ended up a bit over pts. I had picked up breakfast this AM and that wasn't the best choice either I got a Tim Horton's C.C. muffin and it was 9 pts. Good lord I thought 6 at the most but I will finish the day off strong. I went in to the kitchen here at work and a drug rep (evil people who are thin and beautiful who bring us fat social workers meds for clients and a ton of fatty foods to keep us chubby ) Anyways she brought bagels and cream cheese so needless to say I was about to blow it when one of the more in shape guys at work said and I quote "you are being too good with this dieting thing you are making the rest of us sick" Ok this makes me laugh since I was about to dig into the oversized bagels and secondly b/c I ate cream puffs and eclaires for mother's day But it made me not dig into the bagels b/c he is right. I had a great wk last wk and I need to get back on track so I don't blow it. So that was my inspiration for the day.

Well ladies still no ring however I have been working so many extra hours lately that I have to take Friday off so He and I are spending the whole day together. HMMMM perfect day to propose Poor guy his whole family is telling him how he better make this a romantic proposal. Little does he know at this point he could just chuck the ring at me Well those are the tales of Becky. It sounds like everyone had good wknds.

Tonya- MMM a summer of slacking off sounds like fun What do you do? I know that I should know this but I forget. I know that you are at a college but that's all I remember.

Winter- I know what you mean about eating out. Portions are just so huge too not to mention the bread the salad yada yada. Oh well back on track today

CAt-congrats on the 2 pds!!!

Kieri-Congrats on being done with exams. I was wondering if that movie would be good. Thanks for the tip

Kirsty- Sorry I too know little about sailing. Good luck it sounds like a lot of fun. I love yoga, How many days a wk do you do it?

Well off to work ladies. Ill be back

Becky

Hey girls,

Just wanted to check in real quick and say hi - I'm back from Tampa Way too short! I basically ate my face off, that's the bottom line. Cat, what you posted the other day about your mom sabotaging you is so true! My mother is pretty obese - probably about 300 lbs, I'm not sure. Yet the entire time she was buying chocolates and pastries, etc. As soon as I mentioned I had a chocolate craving she would go out and buy some bags of candy. Of course I ate some because I can't control myself - but that's why I don't buy it. I also pigged out on carmel ice cream Friday night! I had this sundae at the hotel restaurant with carmel ice cream, baby ruith candy cars, and carmel and chocolate syrup. Does that give you a good picture of how I was eating???

So my eating was crap, but I did work out three times! I haven't been today, and don't know if I'll go - was hoping to go out to dinner with this guy I've been toying with but he hasn't called yet, so we'll see. I kinda burnt my back so that hurts a bit. I still need to go unpack.

Well, I'll check back in more tomorrow - and I'll try to dig up a picture to post!
