Angry Hump Day, April 17th!

I get to start a thread! Whoo hooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stacey ~ Great goal to have, it is a love-hate relationship with those class reunions, you are dying to go, but it is just to see who got fat and what guys lost their hair!!! I know you will look like a million bucks when you go....the snotty popular girls in my class (at my 10 year reunion) all got fat. I was so secretly gloating!!!!! (Am I nasty today or what!!!)

Rina ~ Hang in there girl!! You did great staying OP for a day, take each day at a time. A few weeks ago I couldn't remember when I had even gone one day OP, but I started, got my motivation back, and I have now been OP for more than 2 weeks, it feels so good.

Oh Stacey, was it you that asked about the UV free tanning beds? I asked my hair stylist about this (they have tanning beds at my salon) and she said it is a machine that squirts the sunless tanning lotion on you, but you still have to rub it in, and may get streaks. I know that tanning beds are unhealthy, but every April - June I tan to get a good base, then I use protection from the sun for the rest of the summer. I just can't deal with lily-white legs when summer starts, so for a couple months I tan, but the rest of the year I take very good care of my skin. Its a bad thing, but what isn't bad for you!!

I am still OP, and doing well. Today I am running home at lunch and walking our 4 month old Lab, he walks me (weighing in at 55 pounds) but that is o.k., it gives me lots of exercise. I am also walking on my treadmill again tonight. 45 mins/3 miles.

I have started to spring clean my house. What a task!!! I need to be finished by my garage sale May 18th. I am working on my closet and my DH's this weekend. My kids are staying overnight at my in-laws, so I should be able to get lots of stuff done. Look out thrift shop!! My DH has so many outdated clothes, it is sick!!!

Well, this summer is going to be exciting. DH and I are going away for a long weekend with two other couples ATVing and dirt bike racing. Yep, you heard it here, DH and I just bought Kawasaki dirt bikes in addition to our 4-wheelers. I am such a tom boy!! University teacher and mother of two by day --- dirt bike racer by night!!

Well, better get back to work. I will check in later. I hope there are lots of posters today.

Hello to everyone lurking!!

Default Slow Day!

Wow its slow today! So far so good this week OP for me. I have been eating at 25-27 points so I feel good. I can still loose at 25, so I am going to try for that most days.

Tanya ~ you are doing awesome. you are motivating me to get back on track. I guess after doing WW for so long, I just needed a little break. I just hope I can get control again.

The ATVing and Dirt Bikes sound like fun! We ride on them at my friends ranch and always have a blast. I'll only ride when it is warm outside because I get too cold too fast.

Hi everyone else!

Kay

Hi there Tonya, Kay, and everyone else out there Yup, I'm still alive tho' this is the first time I've had a chance to check in for AGES. I just speed-read all the recent threads to catch up but I can't hardly remember anything, only, Ali, I'm sorry about your dog - we lost my cat the same way just before Christmas, she was nearly 15, but it was still the hardest decision. Like Kier says, think puppy heaven! I know Jennyanydots is up there with a giant kitty cushion and all the chicken she can eat Oh - and Belle, Buffy the hamster is very well, soooooooooooo cute when she's sleeping, mental as **** when she comes out in her ball, and bit me last week the day I left for Ireland (I think she just wanted to hang on to me...). Did Cartwright get used to your BF yet?

I was in Cork (Ireland) over the weekend for a conference. It was great fun, I met lots of lovely people, and I'd never been to Ireland, so that bit was exciting. Being a bit of an enviro-freak and flying-wimp, though, I went by train (or rather: 2 taxis, 5 trains, a bus, a ferry and a car ) Thirteen hours!!!!!!!!! I got back Monday night, spent all yesterday recovering and today I wrote a paper for another conference on Friday Kier - I went through Dublin on a bus, so only saw the traffic between Heuston Station and the ferry port, but the glimpses I got over the traffic fumes were good. How much longer are you in Ireland for?

What other news? Did Kirsty tell you we're doing our annual 5k again at the end of June? I stuck my training programme on the wall and went for my first outing yesterday - 20mins of 1walk/1run. It wasn't as hard as I feared, tho my calves are a little tight today. Tomorrow it's 30mins of 2run/4walk. Can't wait! (Was that convincing??? )

OK, I'm off now .... take care, everyone, and I'll try and check in more often now!

love
Lolly

Hi everyone! Don't have much time, but wanted to stop by for a short mental break!

Tonya (or should I say dirt bike babe! ) - Woo hoo to both of us for finding our long-lost motivation! Isn't it a great feeling to be in control again? I'm loving it.

Hi Kay and Lolly! Good to see both of you!

PMS is killing me this week. For the past few months it has made me so hungry I can't stand it. And it's not just having cravings and wanting to eat more. It's physical hunger that wakes me up at night... I had to ditch the lunch I brought and went to Subway to buy a veggie salad and turkey sub. Hopefully that will tide me over until I get home... and I need to go jogging tonight as I am running another 5K this weekend.

Have a good day!

Hey Ladies, I haven't tried to catch up on all of the posts yet but I read todays and a bit of yesterdays.

Update: B/f and I found the ring It is perfect. We found it in the first store we went into and both fell in love with it. It is a platinum modified cathedral band with a round/brilliant diamond. We meet with the jeweler who is making it for us on Monday and then it is just a matter of him popping the question. AHHH I cannot wait. As far as dates we are thinking more winter or spring a year from now. He is still unemplyed due to the reconstruction of his knee so that puts a damper on things but due to his physical therapy he is at 56 degrees as far as bending it.

Tonya 2 wks! that is great. Sounds like you have a fun summer planned. I am looking forward to the nice weather but not to wearing less clothing Oh well. I guess you can't have one without the other. Actually you could but you'd look a bit ridiculous in a parka during June.

Jen- I feel for you with the pms symptoms. They suck. YOu sound like you are doing your best to work around it though. Keep it up

Lolly Lots of luck with the training for the 5k. I am ashamed to say that I never followed through with mine I am working out now but I really do not like running.

Kay-congrats on a good ww week thus far. Today is really my first op day in a while.

Ok ladies I will check in later if there is time

Becky

Still pretty quiet around here! What's going on with nobody posting? Maybe people are out enjoying the weather and not sitting in front of their computers?? I still have to because I have to work, but if I didn't, I can guarantee I'd be outside.

I love this weather, but oh my goodness, there sure are an awful lot of spiders out this time of year. I've already killed a couple big ones.

WI was last night, down 2.2 or maybe it was 2.4. Either way, yay!!

Tonya and Stacey were talking about class reunions--this is sort of related. Today I saw this guy I dated in high school and was SO enamoured with. I'm not sure he recognized me, but it felt good to know that I weigh about what I did when I dated him and to see how SUPER bald he got. And I know he's with this nasty skanky girl who has like 4 kids of her own and he's supporting them. He could have had me...

Lolly--It's good to see you back again! We've been wondering where you were!

OK, I'm gonna get a little work done....

Hi Ladies -

Don't have time for individual replies to all your posts (how dare work get in the way of my personal to do list!) but wanted to check in.

WI was today and it was the first week that I haven't lost - didn't gain - but still no loss. I'm kind of disappointed but keep telling myself that I should concentrate instead on the amazing workout I had this morning.

Oh boy, my boss is on the phone........AGAIN.

Later,

Winter
