Welcome back, KENDRA--so glad you are rejoining both WW and this thread. Five pounds gone already? That is wonderful. And I think that your promise to yourself to buy a bathing suit if you go to the gym three times in a month is a good one; I know you can do it!
JAN, your dh is succeeding at this weight loss -- you must be so proud of him. And good for you, for losing two pounds. With meals like salads and veggie lasagna, no wonder you are losing--that, plus those walks you two take. Keep up the good work.
Oh, TEXASLADY, I am very sorry that you will require colon surgery. As JAN said though, prayers and "good thoughts" will be being sent your way all along your process. I do pray that the surgery will help you; keep your chin up and your attitude a positive one, I know you will sail through it.
My garlic which I poked into the ground is coming up; I had forgotten how many cloves I'd planted until they came poking through the soil. I planted an "elephant" garlic bulb too, and I'm hoping that that will take root, also. I'm also trying my hand at growing a tomato from seeds; I've never tried that, so I don't know if I'll see any results or not. The ranunculus are thriving; some are two or three inches tall.
JOYce, what do you think about the suggestions that your rash could be related to your stained glass crafting? CAROL's idea about using the special cleanser sounded like a good one; I second the opinion that it is so nice to have a professional amongst us.
