Alright ya'll are making me VERY COLD!!!!! I know why I'm a good ole' Texan! It's been in the high of 40's and in the 20's at night..... and that's way too cold for me!
Tammy, take care of yourself and don't over do it!!! Yes, get some rest! I'm proud of you exercising. Tina, I'll post a picture of the guinea pigs, if not I'll send you an email with them. I told Pat tonight that I needed to get them out of the cage to hold them. I want them to get use to being held. He actually let me put on in his lap. He was so funny. He said "Don't give me the one that wiggles a lot." Dori, glad you are back! Donley, where do you live? |
Ladies, I want you all to know that I did something yesterday that I have never done before.
In the past if I knew I went over my points I would completely blow the day and say I'll start tomorrow. Well last night I had a basketball game to go to and I knew I only had 4 points left. With that said, I had a hotdog, Coke and Snickers bar. After the game we had bowling and at the bowling alley I had an order of Nachos. Well I knew that I had definitely gone over my points, but instead of saying I'll start tomorrow I calculated my points and used some of my flex points. Yesterday I had a total of 42 points and I journaled them all. I'm so proud of myself. Today is a new day and time to make better choices. Ta Ta for now. I'll check back in later. |
Good morning, It's a beautiful day for fishes! I'm so tired of rain, yuck and muck. However, it's great that I'm OP and Larry is feeling better.
Dori, Good for you!!! You did the correct thing using those flex points and counting everything. Keep it up. Susan, do send photos of the piglets. That's so funny about Pat. I'm surprised he would hold one. Tammy, are you counting down the minutes now? How many cases are you taking? Maureen, are you still lurking? ;) :flow1: |
Susan, I chuckled about Pat and the wiggly one!!
Dori, that is great!!! Tina, you would crack up if you would see Tim's bedroom. He was here this afternoon to visit a while, and he just stood in the doorway and shook his head. We have 5 suitcases of decent size. We have a couple of smaller carry-on style bags. I have a CJBanks bag and a box. I also have my computer case. We bought a larger one to hold more of my junk, and it is on wheels! One of the suitcases will have overnight stuff for the nights that we will spend on the way to Jekyll Island. That way we don't have to take everything out of the van. We'll also take in one of the carry-on style bags because it has all the toiletries. The computer bag will go in at each place also. The box and bag are for groceries that we are taking from the pantry and taking with us. Also the small crock pot, mixer, flashlights, paper towels, and other necessities. I keep thinking that I am packing so much, but then I remember that we won't be home till March 6 at the earliest. Long time! I am sooooooooo glad that I have the laptop to take along!! What would I do without you guys for that long??? |
Oh my, I wouldn't want to think what we would do with you for that long either Tammy!!!!! It's great to be such friends and we've never met face to face. I do know we've made life long friendships!!!!!
I can just picture Tim. I got a good chuckle myself picturing him shaking his head. |
Is that all you're taking, Tammy? You sound just like me. I'm never sure if I can do without something so I want to take it. Once, I took so many outfits and only wore one thing the whole vacation.
You all will have so much fun. And, yes, I'm glad you have a laptop. Those things are lifesavers. |
a Happy Sunday to everyone!
Boy, I've got to get back OP in the morning. This weekend has been "the pits" OP-wise. I have not journaled. I didn't want to see. It's okay because I will do everything correctly again tomorrow. Is anyone going to watch The SAG Award Show tonight? I love those award shows. |
Hi everyone - it is snowing here - about 7 inches so far and it is still coming down! Needless to say - I have not gone on a walk today.

Dori - Great job journaling even the "bad stuff" ^_^ Isn't it fun to see though that if you really want it, you can have it (as long as you've left yourself some points.) Tammy - that is a smart way to pack. NExt time we do a long car trip, I'm going to do the travel bag. Usually we do it the other way and end up having to pull every bag out of the car...oy! |
It's been a long day for me. On Mondays we get up at 6:45 because Larry has an 8 o'clock physical therapy appointment. (He likes early appt.s.) I guess that's why I'm tired.
Not much going on here. Tammy, I know you are excited! What time do y'all leave tomorrow? Please be very careful. I hope y'all win lots of money gambling. :D Be sure to get on the computer whenever you can. cdonley, you must enjoy working in a vet office. We had a beautiful cat, Smokey, for 16 years. The last year, we were in the office about once a week because he had CRF. The vet suggested I become a vet tech for her. I couldn't be around hurt or sick animals. Susan, are you and the gerbels doing okay? |
Hi--Kelli and Nikki---how are y'all doing???? :)
|
I agree about us all being such good friends!! I couldn't go that long without being in touch with you.
LOL I keep adding things to the bags and boxes. Bob keeps reminding me that there is a Wal Mart somewhere close to where we are staying. I haven't journaled since last Friday, and I haven't been to the Y since then either. Getting ready is really taking its toll on me. I have been sleeping so much. I took a 3 hour nap this afternoon. Tina, I rarely watch TV, so no to the awards show. I do watch some things with Bob every now and then, but not too much. 6:45 is pretty early, but I can understand wanting to get the appointment out of the way. Bob said he'd like to be on our way by 9:00 or a little after. I might be out of bed by then. I can't believe how much I've been sleeping! cdonley, I think it takes very special people to work in a vet's office. We received a nice card and notes from the people in the vet's office about our dachsund dying last week. Also received a beautiful poem and letter from the doggy hotel where we would take him. Bob's son was here earlier today to see us before we leave. The school called and he had to leave because his 6th grader was ill. We talked to Tim earlier. He is having some sinus problems and has a sore throat. I told him he isn't allowed to be sick while I'm gone. Todd told us to tell Tim to call him if he needs anything while we're gone. I don't know if I'll be back on in the morning or not. You guys behave yourselves!!! I should be back on the computer by the end of the week for sure, possibly on Wednesday. |
Hi everyone,
What's going on? There's a new house being built next door. It's been pretty doable until yesterday and today. The house is up and now they are working on tearing up the old driveway and sidewalk. What noise! I've eaten within my pt. range today. Yea for Tina! :D Tammy-----I already miss you! |
It's hard to believe that January is almost gone.
We've got to begin thinking about Valentine's Day. It won't be long. I'm going to save up all my flex points and get in lots and lots of exercise before then. :) |
Hello ladies. Everything is going well this way. School is moving along smoothly and I'm patiently awaiting our Winter Break in February. Saturday is Teresa's (DD) 2nd birthday. We're going to have a small family get together with a Mexican dinner and some cake and ice cream. I plan on still staying within my points though. Next Wednesday is my birthday and I have no idea what my DH has planned. Looking forward to it. Well I hope everyone is keeping warm.

OH, OH, OH.....
Dori, being from TX, I dearly love Mexican food. I might have to crash your daughter's birthday party. :o I'm sure it will be lots of fun. So, what do you want for your birhday?:D I hope everyone is doing good OP. We're having pizza tonight and so I'm trying to eat very few points today. |
