Default Last day of 2001

Apparently I'm the only one at work slaving away. I didn't want to come in today, but I didn't think I should take any more vacation days because they come out of next year's tally. So here I am. Not doing anything, though. There was almost a plane crash, but the plane got down safely. So I'm thinking of taking my police scanner and going shopping.

I'm REALLY bummed at the moment. My BF was called about an hour ago and told he had to work because one of the editors couldn't. We had plans to go to a party, but I guess I'm going solo. He'll get home about 2 a.m. Happy f***ing New Year. Sorry, but I'm in a foul mood. I'm so tired of not seeing him and I get so lonely.

Christmas was OK. He had that day off, at least, and we went to a friend's house for dinner. There were six of us. I didn't get the ring, though. I got very jealous when two more of our friends stopped by and announced they had just gotten engaged. Sigh. From BF, I got a CD writer that we took back because we figured we're going to just get a new computer next year, a pretty stained glass hanging that I wanted, and some earrings. Since we took back the CD writer, he's going to get me a day of beauty at a local spa. Very nice, but I want the RING!!!!

After Christmas I went to my real dad's for a few days. Saw "A Beautiful Mind," which is a fantastic movie. GO SEE IT! I admit, I wanted to see it because Russell Crowe was in it, but it is such a good movie. He's already been nominated for a Golden Globe and I bet he gets nominated for an Oscar.

That's about all I have to report! I'm off tomorrow, and my parents are stopping by overnight on their way back from New Hampshire. (They live in Florida). It'll be nice ... they were here the weekend before Christmas too. I think I've seen them more this year than I have in years. I hate living so far away!

Lolly: Sorry about your troubles, but I'm glad you're finding some happiness. Congrats, Trish! Bring on the photos! Hi to everyone!
