I'm going with the full body armour. . .its nutso out there. I have to go out and do a little running around but I think I'm going to skip over the malls. I don't want to go back there until after Christmas! I'm finally on holidays, well six days, which is a holiday to me! Naturally as I walked out of work last night to notice that its snow storming. . couldn't have done it last weekend when I didn't have anywhere to go and had to work. Its still snowing this morning so I'll just take my time with my running and around and packing and then hit the road after lunch and hope that after 24hrs of snow the people in this city have readjusted to driving in snow. . (which I'm guess is not likely) Will be good to go back to the country where ppl grew up driving in the snow and know how to slow down

Well thats all for now, keep the fingers crossed the snow ends by noon so I can hit the road!

Hello all. Well, big delivery news. Went to the dr yesterday and we are breach and bigish 9the baby is about 71/2 to 8 pounds right now) so we are scheduled for a c-section on the 26th. I am very excited! Can not believe it is so close.

Sounds like all are doing well and are ready for the holidays I am off to the mall right now so I can get there before it gets too crazy!

Default Trish, that's great!!

Well, not great that baby is breach, but I am so happy for you and the new bambino!! Good luck! i'll be away, so I won't be able to check in and see if its a boy or girl, if you are healthy!! I hope you are all well!!

Ali, that IS great. you sound happy - how is the b/f situation?

Kier - lucky girl you are...must be a christmas cheer thing that you got away with it. thanks for the vote of confidence on yesterday's thread...a multicultural asswhooping would be a blast...!!

Wenwella - the first day of snow here, we had like 142 accidents, why oh why do people forget how to drive??

Welp, off to do some work and hopefully bail after lunch!!

Default Yea Trish!!

A christmas baby! How cool! Hey, and a tax write off, too!
It sucks that the workday before Christmas Eve, I'm swamped-ly busy! The big boss is doing a closing for me and the little boss (the bitcy one) is on a smoke break. I hope she doesn't try to over work me...I've got enough to do as it is!
I hate to run, but must be busy!
Have a wonderful holiday season!

Thank you all for the well-wishes. Stacey: it seems that your boss takes a lot of smoke breaks for a person who never wants her workers to stop working!

Ok, I am major mad. I was at the mall and someone must have hit our car in the parking lot. The front light is hanging out!!! Bad deal! Not sure if I should call the cops or not. I did not notice it until I got home.

I agree - call the cops. that way, it's been reported if there's any issue with insurance.

Well, today I am wearing my new christmas outfit. my grandmother got tired of seeing me in too baggy clothes so a couple of weeks ago she gave me gift certificates to the bay to buy some clothes for christmas. I was excited because my pants are a size 16!!!! Pre-WW I was into a 22. I also got a pretty sweater with silvery threads and grey and white and I feel like a peacock.

Trish - it's nice to know the exact day you'll deliver - Best wishes for the delivery

Yay for snow!! We are actually having a beautiful day. the sky was amazing last night (solstice or is that tonight?) it reached out in a dome with bright stars - I was at the barn so it was clear and beautiful. Of course, it will start raining this afternoon but oh well.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Happy Day!

How are you all doing today? I'm doing fab-well except for the eating thing (McD's for breakfast and ten Potato Chips for lunch!!) I'm having some zero point soup for supper but later the inlaws will be here and there will be lots of Christmas goodies. Oh well. I worked this morning and now am officially done until Jan. 2nd! Woohoo! This afternoon I'm doing some major cleaning before DF's famly gets here. His family is so nice but I always feel like I've got to have the house spotless. When its my famly I could care less as long as its neat. I guess I don't want them to think I'm negelcting anything or laxy or whatever. Anyway it will make the afternoon go by really fast! Dallas and I exchanged our gifts last night because we don't want to cart them home to open them and I don't want to open them with his whole family here. We spend $50 on each others stockings and i tell you he did so well! I think he must have been paying attention throughout the year because he picked up stuff that I said I wanted way back in June! Awesome! He usually doens't do so hot but then that's because he usually leaves it to the last minute. We also decided to give each other a DVD to go with our new DVD player and he got my Knight's Tale! I tell you that's probably one of the best shows I watched all year! My other favotire gift was the Nickelback CD 'Silverside Up' . Those guys rock! Anyway enough babbling already!!! Sorry girls!

Ali, sounds like life is great! Way to go. Its so nice when your hard work pays off.

Trish-too bad about the breach but at least now you know what day its happening. I can't decide what's worse-pushing a watermelong through a tiny opening or going under the knife? Good luck at any rate. I'm sure the experience will be worth it. (Can you tell I'm not ready for kids?) Does your DH get to take alot of time off to help you?

Wenwella-its snowing a ton here too. I like it though! We've had almost 25cm for the season so far except it keeps melting away! Hopefully this stuff will stick for awhile.

Kierie-sorry to hear life at home sucks so much. I could never live with my siblings! I'd go insane! Are you done being abroad for good now or are you just home for the holidays? Hope you made it back from the mall without being trampled!

Stacey-sorry you're so busy! Do you have to go back to work beofer New Year's? I hope you get some time to enjoy the holiday.

KT the stolstice is today the 21st. Cool that you got a new outfit! Size 16 way to go! I'm in the 20's right now-can't wait to get down to the teens again! You can be my inspiration!

Belle, Have a great holiday! You go and strut your stuff. I all else fails go down to a pub and pick up a rowdy NBer! Those Mairtimers know how to party! Take care in your travels-at least this time your not stuck with your crazy aunt!

Hi to everyone else! Have a great Christmas Season! I'll be backpermanently Jan2nd but hopefully my Dad will let me use his puter so I can stop by and fianlly show you a pic of me! Anyway wishing you all the very best!

Wow - I just got news that I'm dying to share - apparently I've been in contract negotiations up here at the university since I started and we just got our retro pay - over $400!!! It comes at just the right time too. Can't wait to pay all those bills a little early.
Have a great holiday for those of you who don't have to work monday (like me)!!
