I got my Masters in Computer Science and did it all online. But, there was so much work involved with those classes that just about every single night I was logged on. I seriously think it ended up being more work than if I had to have sat in a classroom and listened to a lecture and still did projects, etc. But Computer Science is totally different from Education, so don't take anything I say to heart

But I do know that online classes usually require some "discussion" assignment that you do online because you don't get classroom time. I only had 1 professor (out of 10) who recorded his on-site lectures and made us listen to them for the class. With everyone else, we jsut had to read the text. And it was a LOT of reading. That and coding projects usually took up most of my time.
