Welcome Redandround!!
I hope you found us on page #86.
I am not a popcorn eater of any kind. I can't get into popcorn. The butter makes me have an upset stomach so I stay away.
What movie did you see?

Thanks Es. We had a lot of trick or treaters. Bruce and I put out the twizzlers on the porch so he could walk around awhile with us and then he went back home and passed out the "Good stuff".
Reeses, Hersheys, kit kats etc... The stuff my mom sent that I still did not touch. YAY!!!!
I had 3 planned pieces of candy. I waited til' the kids went to bed and then I ate and savored it. Still stayed at minimum on my points.
I have had my fix. I can wait another couple months now.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween~

'morning everyone!

Well, we've got another successful Halloween under our belts. My son stages a frightful scene every year on the front lawn. This year, due to the recent tragedy, we were debating whether we should continue the tradition, and decided to go ahead....can't let those b****rds get us down!

My great-nieces, who are 12 and 14, helped him, it was cool....people came by and videotaped it. They say each year it gets better. We had quite a few trick-or-treaters, but still had some candy left. I've got it in ziploc bags for the guys to take to work. There is absolutlely no way I can keep it in the house. It calls me....no matter where I am, I can hear it.

Due to technical difficulties, the boys ended up being Dracula and the Mummy (rather than Batman and Superman)...they looked great. My niece was here with her 4 girls. I love having family over.

It's November 1st! How can that be? lol Joe is taking next week off, I'm so looking forward to spending time together. One day we're going to Gurnee Mills, a huge outlet mall, to begin Christmas shopping.

have a great day!

~Jen

Mornin' Girls:

Welcome redaround! Mind if I call you Red?
Hope you enjoy being here - we are a group of wonderful people if I do say so myself Seriously, (I'm a joker, can you tell?)these women are lots of fun and give lots of support and encouragement, you won't regret joining us!

Terri - I must say, that was the sexiest witch I've ever seen I wouldn't mind a costume like that but......oh wait.......I guess I'd have to have a figure like that to pull it off - well, some day

Jen - That sounds great the way your son decorates, must be lots of fun. Your grandsons must have looked adorable. Have fun with Joe next week

Well, sad to say, but my doorbell rang 1 time only. I guess New York parents are just a little more wary right now. I hope that will change next year. Anyway, I decided to give out quarters instead of candy this year, but I had lots left.

Hey Es - Those yankees kicked butt last night, huh? That Derek, he's such a cutie! David's twin

Hi Janie, Joyce and Myra - have a great day!

Hugs,
Dianne

A couple of things I neglected to mention.....

Terri, great planning on working those candy points in. That's the intelligent way to do it, and realistic, cause you don't deny yourself. Very

Redaround...welcome this is a great place

When I went to bed last night, the Yankees were losing....what an exciting 10th inning!

later,

~Jen

Thanks! It is totally unrealistic, for me, to say "No candy". I would want it more.

We had a ton of Trick or Treaters. I'll bet it was different in New York. I'd be more weary being close to where it all happened.
I want some normalcy back for everyone.

Jen,
Wish I could have seen that. Sounds so
I'm glad you had family over. Have a great time with Joe next week.
That 10th inning was sooo exciting. To see the reactions from the players in the dugout you would have thought they won the series. It was great! The pitcher, Kim, looked disgusted.

Dianne,
That is our goal. To look like that witch.
We can all dress like her next year. We can all meet and get a picture.

Now is the count down to our next challenge. Thanksgiving!

TTYL,
Terri

I'm just glad that Halloween is over and my DS and DH hid the leftover candy and have promised not to eat it in front of me. Now onward to Thanksgiving, which actually is a harder holiday for me. All that good food. So hard to control how much of it I eat.

Hi Fellow Yankee Fans,
Last night's game was amazing. I feel sort of bad for Tino. Everyone keeps talking about Derek's HR but if it weren't for Tino's 2 run homer with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th, Derek would never have had the chance to hit his HR in the 10th.

Congratulations to Terri for eating her candy and staying OP too!!

Welcome Red... We are a little nutty but there is great support here!

Jen, Have great fun with Joe next week.

Hi to Zoe, Diane, Essie, Joyce, Myra

Welcome redandround We have lots of good times here. There have been bad times but we're always here for eachother. WE have bonded in a very special way. Glad you joined us!

Pete's been staying up for the games. I don't know how he does it having to get up at 2:30 am. He's a true fan I'm asleep by 9:00.

We had so many kids this year. More than last year. I was really surprised. Most of my co-workers didn't have any so the lunchroom was full of candy. I had 2 small hersheys, dark choc., my favorite. I'm off tomorrow. Hopefully by Monday it'll be gone!

Terri, I can't believe Thanksgiving is already here. Time is flying!!! Any plans?

Dianne, quarters is a great idea. Maybe I'll do that next year. You're in Queens or Nassau County?

Jen, good for you for keeping the tradition. Sounds like you have the Haunted House I bet the kids love it.

Yo Zoe, said you'd be back! You are one busy lady.I'm happy for you that you'll be going on vacation soon. Time for you to try & relax

JanieD, I'll be sleeping while you, Pete, Dianne, Jen & Terri will be watching the game. I'm too tired Finished doing Taebo a little while ago.

Hi Myra

Have a good night everybody

Hugs,
Essie

Thanks JanieD. Gotta have a little candy.
That was a GOOD game last night. I am going back up to catch the end of this one.

Es,
We have no family around and last year we went to a restaurant and I made pies for at home. This year I will probably cook.
If Brandon wins his game in N.C. on the 17th we will be in Virginia
for Thanksgiving weekend. What are you doing?

Hi everyone. Friday is here!!!!!!!!

Jen,
Are you still watching Survivor? Silas and Lindsey have to go.
DO NOT LIKE THEM!!!!!!! I can't wait til' they merge.

Hi guys

Well, its the top of the 8th and its 2 DB's - 0 yankees But, hey, they did it last night, maybe they can pull it off again!

Janie, you're right, if it wasn't for Tino Martinez last night, they would have been goners -- that was amazing, I really thought it was over when they had 2 outs and 2 strikes when Martinez came up. Great game

Es - Now I know we are twins -- DARK CHOCOLATE is MY favorite I especially love those mini mounds -- I put them in my freezer and they are really chewy and only 2 pts. So, I usually have that when I want something sweet. I live in Howard Beach, Queens Es. My stop on the train is JFK Airport. I don't ever have to drive to the airport when I go away -- just have to go into the subway - walk to the end, go outside and take the shuttle bus right to the airport, cool, huh?

Hi Jen, Terri, Zoe/Patti, Joyce, Mrya and Red (holy moly - we have grown). Hope you all have a good Friday!

I'll talk to you's tomorrow.

Hugs,
Dianne

Okey dokey Dianne, this is starting to feel weird I always freeze my pattie mints. Every chance I get I put any chocolate I'm going to have in the refrigerator. I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone!LOL Wow, walking distance to JFK, that is cool.

Terri, every year my sister(wild one) wants everybody to go to her house. God forbid if we say we have other plans She is very unorganized, always has been so I cook at home for the 3 of us & sometimes my oldest sister comes by. We eat early then in the evening we stop by for coffee & dessert. It must be nice to go to a restaurant. Do you have to make reservations?

TGIF

Have a great day!
