Alcohol?

  • Hi everyone,

    Of all those who have been successful on Weight Watchers, I was wondering how many of you drank while OP? I've done WW before and had some success, but not huge success and I'm wondering if it's because I drank on weekends during the plan. I would always count the alcohol in my daily points, but I was a bit of a binge drinker back then.

  • Yes i would be interested also i just RE-started (after 2 years) last friday and i love my wine.

  • it might be bc if youre body has to burn the alcohol it stops burning fat in order to do it
  • alcohol has a lot of calories,plus it dehydrates you which makes you retain fluid.
    A margarita has close to 500 calories in it.
  • I lost about 70 lbs on WW, and drank a glass of wine several nights a week. The trick, of course, is to not drink too much or too often. I know that if I have a second glass, I'm much more likely to eat more too. If you're tracking your points, eating healthy food and exercising, a glass or two of wine a week fits in - at least in my plan.
