Thanks, Stacynak! So far I've done nothing different, I'm kinda scared to! I don't want to jinx anything...LOL. I'm just tracking my points (flex) and faithfully exercising everyday. I was checking out the Wendy Plan as I'm sure this will all stall sooner or later, but so far I'm just sticking with basic flex!

Stacynak - I usually weigh in just before lunch, and attend the lunchtime meeting. Although I tell myself that it doesn't matter what my weight it on any particular day or at any particular time, as long as there is a downward trend, I still eat a lighter breakfast on weigh-in day, and forego my morning snack. I can't help it!
Kelly - great victory with the jeans!! I love when older clothes that I love start to fit again. I have a box that I'm going to have to go through after I've lost another 10-15 lbs... Also, congrats on your great weigh-in! Rosegarden - WTG on that NSV, and congrats on your weigh-in! Debbie - wow, great loss this week. Keep it up. Chris - new scales are bad for that, aren't they?? I remember that my husband bought us a new digital scale several years back, and it bumped my weight up by 5 lbs. When I weigh myself at home, I sometimes still say to myself "well, but on the old scale I'd weigh 5 lbs less than this..." ;) Sounds like so many of us are doing well. I had a so-so weekend food-wise (got take out twice, and went out for breakfast - I made reasonably good choices, but still...). My scale at home shows me at the same weight as pre-weekend, so I'm hoping that by reining things in early this week, I can still shwo a loss for the week. |
I have a ? How often to you step on the scales at home. I have finally cut out stepping on them everytime I am in the bathrooom and am now only stepping on them first thing in the morning. I have printed a weight chart from this site (can't recall where I found it). It is a daily weight chart. I love it I can see what I am doing everyday.

No stepping on the scale at home for me. My scale is very unreliable and needs to hit the trash, but I've just not been willing to fork over the $ for a new GOOD one. That's probably part of the reason that I like the meetings so much. I also could see myself getting scale obsessed pretty easily....
|
I don't stepp on the scales at home because they aren't very accurate...wwe have bought multiple sets of scales & still no luck. So I just rely on my my weekly WI.
|
WI today was -1.4lbs! I'm happy with the loss, however I don't think I'm gonna make my TOT challenge goal. But I am a heck of a lot closer than I was 8 weeks ago! One week to go ladies.....
|
Great loss, Stacy.
My best friend has been out of town and hasn't heard my woes with the scale last week. I told her that I haven't lost 20 that the new scales weighed me 4 pounds heavier. She said why on earth would you take the 4 pounds away from what you lost and not add them to where you started. Since I started in September the old scales most likely weighed me 4 pounds less. So I am once again happy to have a 20 pound loss and not 16. |
Stacynak, that's a great loss! Keep it up! Whether we make the challenge or not doesn't matter, it's that we keep trying and have a steady downward trend. You can do it....shoot for the Turkey Challege!
Chris, I agree TOTALLY!! If you had started with this new scale in the beginning, you still would have lost 20 pounds! Good for you! |
Chirs~ that's right...it's 20lbs not matter how you look at it :) WTG!!!
|
Congrats to everyone on their losses, I am going to have to bow out....I am pregnant! It is my first and I am very excited it was kinda planned but not really long story! So congrats to all of you and keep up the good work! I will be back next summer!
|
Congrats on the pregnancy. Take care and have fun.
|
WOW - congrats on the pregnancy Hildy!!! Pop back in now and again and tell us how you're doing!
|
Congratulations, Hildy! I hope you can continue your healthy eating and exercise during pregnancy. I had a tough time with that, and I wish that I had. It was such fun being pregnant, though - enjoy it. :)
I was down a pound this week, for which I was grateful. I haven’t been especially good, getting into snack foods when I shouldn’t be. Plus I weighed in first thing in the morning last week, so I thought last week’s loss was inflated. So, I’m happy to see anything. I’m still 2 lbs away from my Halloween goal, though, so I’m not sure I’ll make it. I’ll see if I can do a weigh-in on Wednesday (Nov 1) to see how close I got, rather than my usual Thursday one. If I have a good weekend with my eating and exercise, who knows? |
Hildy, Congratulations! That's super! Continue to eat healthier choices and you'll feel better and have less to lose next summer!
Michele, you've still got time! I'm sure you'll make that last 2 pounds by November 1st! I, on the other hand, only have until Saturday for my weigh in, and TOM just appeared about an hour ago...YUCK! I've got my fingers crossed, though, wish me luck! |
thanks everyone I am continuing with the gym routine when I can...been a little sleepy these days and am watching my food intake I would still love to count points I wonder if I could do l that? They say u don't need but 300 extra calories after the first trimester so if I just add like 3 or 4 points I think that would suffice I don't know I WIll have to check with my doc. But I will be cheering for all of you guys thanks for all your support.
