Default I'm Back

I've been a member here a very long time. I have joined Weight Watchers well over 5 times over the past 16 years. The last time, I was a member for almost 2 years and it got so tiring to be focusing on food all the time. I felt obsessive, life got in the way and I let it go. However, it is the only program that I have ever had any success with.

I'm back to the boards. I loved the support I found here and the information.

I started back on my WW program on Monday.

I'm excited to be here again.

And Suzanne - thank you for giving me back my old member name!

Welcome back Rosegarden! This is my third go around with WW. I too find it to be the only way for me. I only made it about 8 weeks at the most in the past. I got pregnant both times before and had to stop. I guess I started Ww in the past knowing I was going to get pregnant. I knew I would not be on program long back then.

This time, I have filled one entire book. Just got my new one last week. I intend to keep this weight off and intend to get to my goal.

To help me do this.........I have two things that I must do.

1) I don't get food obsessed. If I want to indulge, I do. However after being on this for so many weeks I don't ever over indulge to the extent I would have before. For example last night we went out to a favorite Mexican food place. Hubby and I split a combo plate. He ate the beef taco that came with it, and I ordered a chicken taco on the side. I did not even finish my half. Pre WW I would have ordered the combo all on my own and cleaned my plate. I would be sick if I did that now (literally). I eat cake at birthday parties (or at least a bite).

2) I step on the scale EVERY morning without fail. This is a no no for some people. For me, it keeps me in check. If I do too much of that indulging, it will show within two days on the scale. Then I know to re-focus.

So, I am trying to lose weight while living the way I intend to during maintenance. Some weeks I gain a pound, but I never gain two in a row and I almost always lose more than I gain the next week.

I wish you lots of luck and support on this "new" journey.
Welcome back Chick!!!!
