Hey there challengers…well I got up and did my version of bridal bootcamp…and I maintained my weight at 227.5 which is good since I did so badly last week..but that was the last bad week I am having..i feel so positive and up beat and I hope it last…

Wow buffalosister, that's great about your friend using WW and losing 100lbs and making goal! That is inspiring!! Destinationbride07- bridal bootcamp sounds good. I bet it pushes you to your limit. I walk for the exercise, anywhere between 4-8 miles a day and I jog part of the way when I am at the park. I joined a gym that opens next month. I can't wait til it opens, I want to do some weight training 3x's a week, to add some resistance to my activities1 Hope everyone is doing great!! Take care and keep up the work!! |
Started WW tonight.Am lifetime member who has gained 20lbs back after a couple of years, Need to get back on track and believe with this forum's support can do it. I hope to lose 10 lbs by Labor Day.

So, the last time I was in here was June 12 and I weighed 161. Well, here we are, one month later... and I still weight a stinking 161. I have been bouncing between this dumb 160-162 range for an entire month. It's so frustrating because I've been eating and exercising just as well as I always had been. The "conservative" goal that I set on June 12 to lose 15 pounds by Labor Day ain't happening. I'll be thrilled if I'm even NEAR 150 by then. But considering every diet I've ever had in my life plateaued me at 160 and I have no recollection of ever being in the 150's, I'm not necessarily holding my breath.
I'm (reluctantly) going to try Core for a week or two and I'm just praying that it gives me a little jolt. It's going to be hard 1. because I'm picky and 2. because I'm going to start PMSing in a day or two but I'm going to try my best. I'm just going to be so deflated if it doesn't help, though. We'll see what happens. |
Woo Hoo! 3 down 9 to go for the Labor day challenge. I weighed in this evening. Hope we all meet our goal. Too bad we can't party together afterward. ;)

I know how you feel. I'm picky about what I eat too, however, I've decided that I can't be too picky if I want to lode the weight. I have found myself eating certain fruits and vegies that in the past I would not have eaten and i think that helps me to have more food shoices so I don't get bored with what I'm eating. Your body could be telling it needs a change in what you are eatin and perhaps in the way you exercise. Try finding a new recipe and add a new excercise tha tyou enjoy and see if that helps. Also, if you happen to subscribe online there's a great article on weight loss plateaus. Don't put too much pressure on yourself, we all hit a wall at some time or another. You can do it! |

I weigh in on Thursday evening. I hope I lost what I gained last week! Ms. Sassy: Have you tried the Wendie plan of WW. Alot of people say it has helped them when they stop losing. Anyway worth a try or a look see! I need the flexibility of flex. I don't think I would do good on Core either. I'm pretty picky when it comes to veggies, though I try to sneak them into recipes by shredding them. That helps me. |
I had my first weigh-in since I joined this challenge and am down two pounds. I tried the Wendie Plan this week and even though it is TOM I still had a loss. I leave on vacation next Thursday (to Florida for two weeks) and will have to weigh-in on Wednesday night. I am hoping I have another 2 pound loss next week! OR more!

I am still around and would love to join your challenge...I am newly remotivated and want to lose 12 pounds by labor day! I leave for Jamaica on August 10th and want to be down 10 by then so lets track and stay focused...It took a long time to put on and a long time coming off and we haven't worked this hard to stop now!

I only lost 0.4 lbs, but I'm not complaining because it was a loss. I hope to do better this coming week. Kathi: Congratulations on your 2 lb loss!!!! :carrot: :carrot: Hildy: Welcome! 39 lbs lost, that is so awesome! Your right we just need to stay focused and we will make it. I'm up to walking 6-9 miles a day and if I'm at the park, I jog half of it. I can't wait til the gym I joined opens. It's scheduled to open the middle of August. I want to add some mild weight training 3 days a week to my routine to build a little muscle. Good luck everyone and have a great weekend! |
