Talking Life gets in the WAY!

Hello everyone!

What a busy couple of weeks I've had...and they aren't over yet! April is just a rough month for us...I have DS's birthday and my anniversary, an SCA event with the group I belong to, Easter with the folks. On top of all that I have so much work to do! I'm very behind and the bosses are getting more than a little uptight about that. May 1 I'm off work for a week - I'm having some "girlie surgery" for fibroids and an ovarian cyst. So I really need to be caught up. And then we lost the renter in our mobile home (I truely HATE being a landlord!) DH owned it before we got married and we can't begin to sell the darn thing so we rent it for a part of what we pay each month. We have another renter ready to move in...but the last one trashed the place so there's all these repairs to make....

So Jeanne - it is a lack of time. I'm just so busy that I can't even find time to breathe, much less worry about food. We've eaten out so many times that we're running out of funds to pay for it all with! (That's an exaggeration...but we are over budget for it this month.) I keep meaning to start a crock-pot in the morning...never do it. I keep meaning to thaw out meat for dinner...never do it. I keep meaning to write down all my points...never do it - well, not never, but I'm not journalling like I ought to. I'll be at work till 5 at least each night and on the weekends when I can. I'm just a bit overwhelmed. It was awfully sweet of you to offer to help...but unless you can write a bunch of child support judgments for me - there's not anything else!

On the up side, my WI was 241.8 today... only up a tiny bit. And since I've drank practically NO water the past few days that's okay by me! I just need to get back on track. At least I am still thinking about what I eat...even if I have made the occasional poor choice. At least I knew it was a poor choice - way different than it used to be!

Take care ladies and keep fighting the good fight! As for me...I have to run...lunch hour is over and I'm behind!

awww, lilion. don't forget to take a moment to BREATHE. and you know, we COULD all write a couple of child support judgements for you. they just wouldn't be "correct" technically. but hey, let's give it a whirl! "you, pay 500 a month, you deadbeat." there. my first one.

i'm about to go weigh in, so i'll check back in in an hour or so! i have a feeling i lost.

Hi everyone,

I maintained again this week at my weigh-in (2 weeks in a row now) so I'm trying to get my plan for the weekend in focus. We'll be at my sister-in-law's house all weekend and I'm trying to prepare myself a little bit so that I don't go up there and off my plan completely. I sure would like a loss next week.
I usually do manage to do better where there are other people around - it's when I'm alone I can get in to trouble. None of these people know though that I've lost 40 lbs so they'll all be surprised when they see me.

I bought a new Easter outfit to wear if they go to church and if not, I'll wear it to work when I come back next week. It's very spring-ish looking and I'm so ready to be outside working in the garden, etc. I can hardly wait to get started.

so, i stepped on the scale. i had been expecting a loss, but maybe only 2 pounds or so. the usual. so imagine my shock when i got on the scale and had dropped 4.6 pounds! i stepped on, and the numbers kept creeping up, and then they STOPPED. and i kind of...guffawed/laughed/"oh my god" ed. LOL. and losing that 4.6 was the greatest thing. because not only did i hit my 25 pound mark, it put me thisclose to my easter goal. AND i earned my 10 percent keychain. all in one day! wow. just. wow.

Good Evening Y'all,

Wow, it is nice to see everyone posting again. WhoHoooo! It is a balmy 80 degrees on the island today...sunny, nice breeze......my kind of day. I love it. I spent part of the day cleaning outside, picking up trash, leaves, and sand that had been blown under the house. It was wonderful. Got my dirt for my pots and am ready to start planting as soon as I can make a trip to the nursery. I am ready. It was really a mild winter, so not so many complaints about that, but I sure do love the spring and summer! We are far enough north to still see a change of seasons and I like that. I am not sure if I would like living further south or west where there is no change of seasons.
Rahstar....what awesome news. Happy dance for you! Ok, so I got a little carried away, but still meeting all those goals is just awesome. You are truly on your way.

DNR.....That will be such fun to show up 40# lighter than last time your family saw you. Enjoy all the compliments that are surely coming your way. Like you, I can hardly wait to get my hands in the dirt!

Lilion....my head is spinning with your "to do list" We are landlords too for a house we still own in Indiana. Try to be an absent landlord. It has been a struggle but we can not afford to sell the house because of capital gains taxes. I know that you can get back on track, you have before and I know that you will again.

As for me, I need to start journalling again. I know that if I do on a consistent basis, I do so much better. So I have a new journal out and am starting tonight. So have a great evening everyone! Keep on going...we can do this... GeeChee

hey all! hope everyone's prepared for the weekend.

we're having my nephew's second birthday party here tomorrow, and i'm slightly freaking out. sandwiches from a deli, and a homemade cake with crisco icing. and potato salad. as you can see, my family does NOT shy away from the carbs. we've been so frenzied trying to clean and prepare for this party that i haven't had time to work out. but i HAVE been doing an extraordinary amount of scrubbing, dusting, polishing, and furniture rearranging. so maybe that helps a bit. and i'm still totally on track, so i'm feeling cautiously optimistic.

went to subway tonight. i coveted the meatball marinara on garlic bread, but i ORDERED the sweet onion chicken teriyaki on wheat bread, no cheese, oil, or vinegar. and i had baked chips. and you know what, it was darn tasty! god bless subway!

i hope everyone enjoys their gardening and various other weekend activities. i'm off to go sort some laundry!

ooooh myyyyy gooooodness. this weekend was TOUGH! birthday parties, easter. i stayed in my points range on friday and saturday, but today...eesh. i'm not too far over, so i think i'll just kiss the rest of my weekly points goodbye and live very carefully for the next few days until weigh in. i have some low point soups and puddings, and salad stuff and asparagus. i have some good food choices around here, so that should be okay. and i'm going to work out tomorrow and tuesday, and keep drinking my water. i did the best i could, and hopefully the scale will reflect that this wednesday.

in other news, i gave away all of my easter candy. gave it AWAY. this is a huge moment for me! LOL. but, at least now it's not just hanging around, waiting for me to eat it. yay!

Good Morning Everyone and a belated Happy Easter.

Hope everyone had a great weekend. I spent all of Saturday outside working in the yard and front beach. Raking, weeding and filling pots with dirt. It was wonderful. I have a little bit of a fun burnt face and legs, but it is nice to have a little color again. Had the kids over for Easter Dinner and it was very nice. My youngest is in Wisconsin for a speech tournament so she was not able to come, but was nice to see the ones that could. Overall, a very nice weekend.

Rahkstar...threw away the Easter candy. That is just awesome. I did as well....just had none in the house and no one asked or seem to care. So whohoo for both of us.

Supersized...welcome. Post a little about yourself and jump right in. Always nice to have a new face around here!

BBWBunz....Happy EAster to you too!

Well, off to start going through the attic! I have promised myself I would thin things out and get rid of some of the junk. Last hurricaine season scared me to say the least. SC was spared last year, but I fear what this year holds.

Have a beautiful day everyone! Stay OP and drink that water...GeeChee

Unhappy

Hello All!

Well, the weekend was busy, busy and FAT, FAT, FAT! I haven't journaled forever. Mostly because I ate stuff I couldn't even begin to count or justify. Today the scale is showing me up about 5 pounds. I am not happy, but I deserve every freakin' pound! I'm actually ashamed of my behaviour over the weekend. I ate sausages, I ate fried chicken - WITH the skin, I ate LOAVES of bread and then there were the sweets! Someone kick me! Never mind, I can do it myself and HAVE been ever since the weekend ended.

I had a medieval event this weekend. That's where the bread and sausages came in. It was a rousing success though...even though the food was a disaster! Just cause I can...here's a picture of my wonderful skinny son in an archery competition!

The sweets started Friday and never let up!

Ah well - tomorrow (or in this case today) is another day. I was good this morning and, although my tummy is growling to the max right now, I'm planning on being extra good today. I parked over a 1/2 mile from work and hiked in and will get on the eliptical tonight if it kills me...and given how long it's been - it might.

Hope you all are doing well. I'll post the official WI results tomorrow...dismal though they may be!

Lilion,

You have the right attitude - and I think posting the results, "dismal as they may be" is a good plan. Shows you are getting back on track. I wasn't perfect over the weekend either - my sister-in-law had Easter baskets for all of us when we got up on Sunday AM and she knows that I'm on WW. So, I gave my solid chocolate bunny to my husband (he doesn't need it but better than me eating it ) and I put some other stuff from my basket into his. But, I did eat some and that's just the way life is and I guess we have to learn to deal with that. I tried to compensate for it the rest of that day and have ever since. We'll see what the scale says on Wednesday. By the way sister-in-law needs to be on WW too!!!

i'm dreading weigh in on wednesday, too. i had dessert last night when i did NOT have the points for it. and i knew it was wrong, and that i would feel bad later, but i did it anyway. birthday parties, candy in the fridge (not mine, but geez...temptation!). oh well. i'm gonna suck it up and go, because it's all about accountability where i am concerned. *crosses fingers for not too much of a gain*

Hi Everyone
Hope you have room for one more. I was flipping through the posts and this looks like a place I think I might fit it. You all sound happy and fun and have the same challenges as me, so I will talking with you if you are interested!

I am married mom of 2 and work full time, so sometimes posting is a challenge but I will make an effort to post daily. Do you all weigh in on the same day or different days?

Chat with you soon!
