hey guys! weigh in went fantastically. i was pretty worried, thinking i had lost tenths again. but, i dropped 1.8 pounds! which brings my total to 23.2. the best part about weight watchers is that it honestly does NOT feel like a "diet". i really am changing my habits, and it really IS working. sometimes it feels too good to be true.

last night, i had a slice of pie. i had the points for it, but it's nice to have a workable plan for healthy living that includes a slice of pie here and there, and i don't have to feel bad for it. because, you know, pie happens.

on a silly note: last night, my mom told me (in gest) to "shut my pointhole." i about fell off of the couch laughing at that expression. pointhole. LOL.

Good Evening Y'all....

Busy day at work today! Ran my behind off...well, almost off! Just got done mopping my bathroom floor, the guys are playing poker so thought I would check in with all of you while the floor is drying.

Rahkstar...."pie happens"! We are just full of puns tonight. Congratulations on your weight loss. That is just awesome! And way to go on the compliment....take them as you get them and remember them when things get tough. What class are you taking? I could be a perpetual student if they would let me. I loved college and was going to go back to get my masters till DH moved us again. Oh, well, there is always my next life!

Jeanne..."smaller the closer to closing time you get" Liked that one too! You sound like you lead a "Northern Exposure" type life! Hope you remember that show or at least heard of it. I bet you have heard it all and seen it all tending bar. I worked in the ER for years and we always said we had seen and heard it all just like bartenders. I know it must be hard work, but still fun at times! Keep plugging along and that weight will come off for sure! I know it get hard, because I struggle with slow weight loss weeks also, but I remind myself that it took me a long time to put this weight on so I can not expect to lose it overnight.

Ok, so I have weighed myself every morning this week and it does give me pause if I am choosing high point foods to try to pick something different. So I will keep on weighing and see if it helps.

Well, have a great night everyone. My floor looks dry, so I need to put the bathroom back together and tackle the next cleaning chore.

geechee, i can't imagine weighing myself every day! i can barely face the scale once a week. LOL. but it's good that it's helping to keep you OP.

i'm actually taking a health class right now that fulfills both my nutrition/PE requirements. we're REQUIRED to work out for 2 hours a week (one cardio, one strength) and have someone sign off on it, as well as keep track of what we eat. this might be the best class ever to hit my weight loss!

and i agree. "smaller the closer to closing time" had me going, too. keep on keepin' on, jeanne! you're doing great.

Hi all!

I'm sorry I haven't been posting - I blame it on lack of time, stress and laziness - in that order! WI on Wed was uneventful. Gained .2 - not enough to worry about. We'll see about next week though. Seem to be doing a LOT of eating out this week!

I've been totally stressing out over work and over my DH's newest idea that consists of us selling our home and moving to Wyoming. WYOMING! Now, I like Wyoming - the mountains are particularly nice there. Antelope, Old Faithful, wide open spaces - what's not to like? But live there? He has a shot at a job there paying about $15,000 more than he makes here. I have a shot at squat though and I make a TAD more than $15,000! So unless I could also find a job paying what I make here - not worth a second thought. And yet - I keep THINKING about it!

Well, I have to run. The boss is more than a little peeved at us right now and I'd hate to get fired! Then again - would kinda settle the whole "moving to Wyoming" issue!

I promise to do more than talk about myself soon! I'll post nice replies in a few!

Later ladies.

Another weekend is upon us - I have a lot to do so hopefully that will keep my mind off of food!!! I was unable to attend my At Work WW meeting this week as I had to change my lunch on that day and the meetings are over my lunch hour. So, hopefully there won't be too much damage there - I am a person who is motivated by the meeting and especially the weigh-in. If I know someone else has to weigh me versus weighing myself, things go much better. I think I should be able to keep a level head this week and hopefully I'll have a loss on Wednesday.

I've been getting my exercise in and the weather is getting much nicer outside and flowers are starting to bloom. Makes me want to get out there and walk and that gives me a whole different outlook on things. Getting me in the mood for planting and getting things prettied up around my yard.

Have a nice weekend everyone and may there be many losses next week - no matter how big or small - just a loss would be great!

Good Afternoon Y'all,

Only have a moment for a quick post, but there is so much news from y'all over the last couple of days, so this will be hard. I am waiting for DH to get home early from work so we can start to drive to a dear friends surprise anniversary party. It is about 1 1/2 hours away and I have been looking forward to this. Her two lovely children have done all the planning and preparation so it should be fun. Bad thing is that DH has to work tomorrow so I am not sure how long we will be able to stay. His work hours pretty much suck but after being there for so many years I don't think he going anywhere with a M-F work schedule.
Lilion...Wyoming! Now that would really be a move! We have moved more times than I care to count. In fact the running joke amoung my family is that we don't spring clean, we just move. We have been in this house for 8years and that is a real record for us. No one ever told us that you have to do home maintence....what a surprise! I am sure you will get it all figured out. Life has the amazing ability to push you where you need to be...sometimes kicking and screaming...sometimes not.
Jeanne....sorry to hear the news about your insulin. But diabetes is very hard on your body and you have to be careful. What a wonderful motivation to keep on program. Any weight loss you achieve can do nothing but help your health. Keep us posted on your test results and I am sending positive vibes your way.
DNR...good to hear from you. Like you the spring does make me a little more motivated. I bought some flower seeds the other day and now just have to plant them to get them going so they will be ready to transplant in a few weeks. I can hardly wait for summer.
Rahkstar....I class that requires you to work out! How awesome. That should certainly push your weight loss progress along. Maybe that is what I need...a requirement to work out!

Well, have a great weekend everyone. Better get dressed before DH arrives home! Later...GeeChee

Hey all! I'm here and alive! Doing rather poorly point-wise...but struggling to get back on track.

I'm so sorry I don't really have time to post. It's rather late and I'm just BEAT! I'll try to see what I can do to get a good post later!

to you all!
