Good Morning Ladies,
Hot, muggy, humid here in Indiana. It is only 8:30 in the morning, but the temperature is already 83 degree and the humidity is like 70%. Same forecast for tomorrow and the next day, so best get use to it. Air conditionerer is going full blast and so is my electric bill!
Happy to report a 1.8# loss this week. I have been strictly OP since Tuesday and journally to boot! My challenge however is the weekend, so I am planning on keeping my points low the early part of the day and see how things go tonight. My daughter has a double header softball tournament tonight, so if I stay away from that concession stand, I should be OK!
Congratulations on the your baby! I just loved nursing my three kidos. I nursed until they too were almost a year old and eating table food and drinking from a cup. I think it was almost harder for me to quit then for them! It is a great way to give your baby a nice start in this life. Keep drinking that water!
Thinthinker....Ok, I understand what a bra job is, but what is a theater job? Your jobs sounds much more interesting than mine!
Diane...your weight loss is impressive! Way to go. I too have a hard time picturing myself at goal and thin or "normal". Keep on working on that positive attitude with alot of positive self talk and I know that you can do this!
J-ann...welcome. I am not a consistent poster, but a daily lurker. These ladies are great.
Maggie...what can I say. You are an inspiration! I intend to make your pistacio fluff yet this morning. Your traveling sounds wonderful! It is something that hubby and I hope to do once they kids are gone and college tuition is not putting us in the poor house! We tell our kids when they move out to make sure they have a 220 electric line so we can plug in when we come to visit!
Well better scoot. The day is waiting! Best to all of you.
Hi everyone! Sorry I can't stay this morning. I have been working all week. Food is looking pretty good. I am supposed to go out of town Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday next week but I pulled my back out yesterday!
Gotta run. Heading to the chiropractor again this morning.

Hi to all of you,
This is the first tim I entered your site. I am really impressed with all the neat weight losses you have attained. I, myself, am back on the WW program. I believe you need to be ready. Also, I met the most awesome WW on the internet who happens to live in Phoenix. We haven't met yet, however, she told me about this WW lecturer that has really inspried her. Well I had no choice but to check this person out. I believe I always try to blame my not staying on program on someone else. I attended the meeting on Thursday after work. When I arrived at 5:15 p.m., the parking lot was empty so I then realized the meeting didn't start until 6:00. I almost thought I should just go on home and forget it -- or else go and find something to eat! Well I didn't do either and I am sure glad I stayed. My WW friend was correct, this leader whose name is Bob is the most inspirational lecturer I have come across in years. This is an over 50 lb. group, and for the first time, I found WW who were actually friendly and excited to share their ideas and experiences. I am not only writing down my points, but I am also writing in a journal my feelings. All of us have incidents that heppen in our life that we must face and get through but after we do this, we can go forward. I am really excited and look forward to being more energized this coming Thursday. Hopefully I haven't bored you with this long message.
Keep up your fine work!!!!
Nita
It happened folks. Where did it go? My post from yesterday has vanished. I am having another good OP day and do hope I show a loss tomorrow for my work this past week. I don't FEEL like I have lost but my feelings don't always tell the tale.
BARB have you tried a little lime in your water? I prefer that to lemon. And have you tried Splenda? It is made from sugar so isn't one of those harmful chemical sweeteners and you can buy it in bulk or in packets ~ at Wall Mart even. Hope this has been halpful.
J-ANN & NITAWELCOME to a group where we all have a way to go down this road to thin. That is one of the things that makes this group so special and like a family for we are doing the going together. Our ups and downs are shared with those who understand for they "are there."
CHATTYCONGRATULATIONS on the 1.8 gone forever! Girl you are doin' it! I think all RV's come with 110 but are 30 amp. At least we don't need 220. If you plan on doing "flull -timing" there is a wonderful book out by Bill & Jan Moeller called Full-Time RVing. The ISBN number is 0-934798-34-6.
GERIOUCH your back! Take care of yourself for that is not fun. Have another good week being OP.

I made this delicious "Dreamsicle" recipe last night and had some after lunch. It is the one that tastes like those 50/50 bars that were orange sherbert and vanilla ice cream. I'll post it here for those of you who don't have it. It is one of those that Cowboy really likes...
DREAMSICLE ~ 1 POINT per cup
1 pkg. sugar free orange Jell-O
1 pkg. Instant sugar/fat free vanilla pudding
1 (8 oz.) tub fat free Cool Whip
1 can mandarin oranges (drained)
Dissolve Jell-O in 1 cup boiling water
Add 1 cup cold water
Let stand for 5 minutes
Blend in pudding to the Jell-O with a mixer
Stir in orange sections
Fold in Cool Whip
Wow - these recipes look really good. I can't wait to try the dreamsicle one. I really like the creamsicle pops nd tese sound good too.
Well I just wanted to say I had a decent weekend. I had a BBQ saturday and I was a little over points but I banked some from the other days. My downfall was a taco dip that I just had to try. I tried to be good and had a few pieces of grilled squash, but then I found out it was done with butter, salt and pepper. Oh well. I tried. I did get to the gym early today and I am happy about that.
I hope my next few days are good. I am going to try a new goal for myself. I find that driving too or from work that I will usually eat something. Sometimes I am eating breakfast so I don't eat it when I get to work, cuz I might not have the time. But maybe this will help me, I know it won't hurt me. I try this and see if I can stick to it this week and I will let you know how I do with it.
Well, time to go check the laudry. Have a good week all! Melissa
What a busy weekend! Softball tournament with my daughter all day Saturaday, and till 4 on Sunday. I had enough time to come home, freshen up and out the door to a Randy Travis Concert last night. I'm sore for sitting on the side of the hill and I'm tired. I did have a nearly perfect OP weekend though so WI tomorrow should be great.
Welcom Nita, J-ann and mel. You have discovered a hidden Gem in this site. If it's support, a laugh or just something to reflect on you've come to the right place.
The receipes sound wonderful, I'm going to be trying a couple out for sure. Thanks to everyone who has been posting them.
Well, sorry I can't reply to everyone individually today, but I have to get to work. Everyone in the high humidity and smoggy areas, take it easy and try to stay cool..
Been reading this thread for a while and only just figured out that I was allowed to jump in.
I've only just begun (again) and figure my first goal is hit 249 ('cause then the old fashioned doctor's scale thing goes down by a big notch, ya know?). I'm not attending meetings -- only weigh-ins -- because we travel a lot and generally I'm at an auction or other scheduled event during the meeting times I've found. Finding a site for chatty support has been a dream. We also eat out most of the time -- another challenge. Its darn hard to fit veggies in with a fast food diet, let me tell ya. LOL!
Hi everyone! I stayed home from my trip to Indiana. They went without me! My back just wasn't back to normal yet and I just did not want to be at someone else's house and have to do the ice pack thing and be uncomfortable. Nor did I want to put a damper on the others going to Shipshawanna, or anything else they may want to do, so I just stayed home. I will be a couch potatoe for one more day and hopefully by tomorrow I will be back to normal.
WI this morning was not great. I gained 1/2 pound. I'm sure it's water weight as I had a couple of servings of WOW chips yesterday. I know better to do that on Sunday before my Monday WI but hey, I didn't feel good and I wanted the salt!
Maggie: I love the Dreamsicle recipe. It is one of my favorites. Congrats on staying OP. You are doing great!
Melissa: Ummmm Taco Dip is my downfall too. You'll be better now that the weekend is over.
Brenda: Ooooh, Randy Travis. I bet that was a great time. Are you still dancing on the weekends???
Slutbunny: Welcome. Sure you're allowed to jump in and we're happy to have you. RE: eating out most of the time. Try packing a small cooler with portable fruits (apples, grapes, etc.) , mini carrots and water. I'm on the road alot myself and a cooler has become my sidekick in the van.
Barb: I'd love to hear more about the water filter machine. Is it a permanent fixture in the store or you buy the machine and use it at home?
Chatty: Congrats on the 1.8#!!!! GOOD JOB!! I do patron counts at the theatre. Then the 'client' (Sony, Paramount, etc) can see if they are indeed getting paid what they're supposed to for the film's attendance.
Nita: Welcome. It sounds like you're off to a great start.
Gotta run. The couch is calling me. I have been sitting up for too long.

WELCOME to the thread BUNNY. We are always happy to have a new person join us here. Post whenever you feel like it!
GERI do please take care of yourself. I have back trouble and know what it feels like and it is no picnic.
WEIGH IN REPORT OK folks it isn't a pretty picture. First off my leader and I figured out the problem. I am so bloated with water it showed a 4 pound gain. What a bummer that could be but I am not going to let it stop me from doing MY PROGRAM again this week. Nope it isn't going to get me down. I am going to bash on regardless.
Hi everyone.. I am soooo glad I logged in tonight.. Everyone here is so great and so motivational. It has picked my spirits up after a .4 lb. gain this week.. I know that isn't a whole lot, but I feel like on my third week I shouldn't have had a gain. But---- I am getting older and don't excercise as much any more and can't expect to lose as fast as I did at one time.. Am OP again!!!
Great idea about filling in supper and then the rest of the meals around that!!!!
The recipes sound really yummy tonight. I love dreamsicles and snickers!!!
Welcome all new comers.. You won't be disappointed.. This is a great group of People!!!!!!
The weekend is over and I am happy about that. I went to the gym this morning and had a good OP day. I planned my breakfast and lunch out so that helped. I still have a couple of points for the rest of the evening so I am thinking a fruit pop for dessert may be good.
I just wanted to say that at work there were cookies that were calling to me. I really wanted them, but I knew I didn't REALLY want to have them, b/c I didn't want to spend the points on them. I was very proud of myself for not eating any.
I teach at a preschool and we are having a bake-off in the next few weeks. I think I might have us try to make the snickers dessert. I would like to try it but I am afraid to keep it around the house currently. I'll let you know what my plans are.
Just a short note from me again.. Failed to tell you what I did wrong last week.. Was enjoying my smoothie everynight . I prefer to make mine with milk.. Welllllllll--- didn't realize that I had bought WHOLE milk and was making my smoothie out of whole milk everynight instead of skim milk!!! Bye again!! Ellie
I am sure glad I joined your group. You all seem to be upbeat and really know what to do. I have been on program since Thursday, and I am finding out how much I was really eating when I wasn't measuring and counting points. I am also making a big effort to drink the water. I found that if I put our filtered water at work in my 23 oz. water bottle I can then put it in the freezer for an hour or so, and then it is much easier to drink. It seems to taste better than using icecubes. This is probably my imagination, but it works! Besides your chat group I have met some wonderful individuals at my meeting, and one of the women even said to call her if I ran into a problem -- that is truly support from the word go.
Your recipes are also great, and I am going to make the dreamcicles tonight.
Although I won't see you, I know you will all be lighter tomorrow!
Nita
Hope you all are staying cool. Has been 90+ here in Indiana for about the last five days. Heat index has been 100+ Nasty, nasty weather! Will try to remember this next winter
Had a great OP week except for yesterday. But I had banked points, so I think it will be OK. We are leaving for vacation on Saturday and will be gone for two weeks, so I am thinking of weighing in on Friday, instead of my regular day of Tuesday. That way, if I have a great loss, my motivation will be much higher! I know realistically, I will not lose on vacation, but if I can maintain, I will be pleased.
I am so far behind in individual post, I won't even try tonight. Stay cool and have a great evening.
