Default Difference between CORE and Regular program?

Ok I've looked on the site, and it just makes no sense to me! What is the difference between the CORE program and the Flex points or whatever? It totally confuses me!!!

The Core Plan is more of a lower carb way of eating and you don't count points for any of the foods on the Core list. You only count your flexpoints if you eat something that is not on the list.

It is a good plan if you don't like counting points and if you are capable of eating until you are satisfied.

I can't do it myself as I need the structure of the points system so I do flex.

If you are interested in the Core plan we do have a group here following in that plan.

Where do I find the "Core Food List".....what book? I don't live close to anywhere that has meetings or anything, and don't have the finances to do the online program....DH just got laid off a few weeks ago, so money is tight right now....

Suggestions??

The information is available from WW. You need to go to one meeting to get the info and an explanation of how it is done and the points slider. The information is copyrighted and we are not allowed to reproduce it.

It is definitely NOT a low carb plan. You eat healthy whole grains, potatoes, protein, fruits, veggies and dairy.

Actually Core is a lower 'SIMPLE' carb program but not a 'lowcarb' program.

When I said lower carb I mean "better carb" - not low carb (sorry about that . WW encourages you to eat better carbs such as brown rice, whole grain products and whole wheat pasta. It's more about making better carb choices rather than cutting carbs out the way some of the diet plans available out there.

I think the Core plan is a great plan and have tried it out for about 2-3 weeks but I need the structure of the points system.

Unfortunately we can't post all the details and food lists from the WW materials as this would violate WW's copyrights.

Can anyone type out the 1st Weight Watcher plan for me. It really worked for me. I sure wish I could get ahold of it. Wished I would have saved it.

mjh, what do you mean the 1st W/W diet plan. That was back many, many years ago and it had so many fish meals and very, very limited foods. It has had many migrations and mutations over the years.
