Default New to weight watchers!

Hello all -

I am going to my very first weight watchers meetings tonight! I am excited and nervous. I have been thinking about joining WW for a little over a year.. but my husband has always been a "you can do it yourself" kinda guy. So I tried it by "myself" for this past year. I was not successful!! I haven't been in the best situation for weightloss. In 18 months I moved from Germany to Wisconsin to Georgia to Washington (where I am now, and will be for a few years). I did lose 20 pounds by myself when I was staying in WI for the 4 months when I was waiting for my hubby to move back from Germany, but once we were reunited I gained it all back plus some. We moved to GA, I was in nursing school and it was HOT HOT HOT so that put a big ol' damper on my exercise routine ... there by adding to the weight gain - that and DH weekly trip to the Dairy Queen!!

So after 9 months we moved up here and now that we are past the holiday season I am ready to do things the way I think is best.

My meeting is this evening and I am not really sure what to expect or how much money I need to bring... any advice??

welcomekrista!
first congrats on your choice! sometimes its hard to come to the realization that 'self' isnt cuttin it....i was like that too. broke dn in june and went to meetings and am now dn almost 53 lbs!

groups are great! weigh ins are private and talking is optional
as for $, you can pay weekly or purchase pkg's which save $. if you go to the ww site, and type in the zip, itll give you current pricing. good luck! and pm me if u wanna buddy up!

Weight Watchers does work. The meetings are inspirational but it definitely helps to have someone to buddy up with outside the meetings.

Welcome to the group!!!

Hi Krista...
I also could not do it on my own, but now look at me! I'm 47 pounds down with WW!!!! It really makes a difference to have to report every week to your leader and feel the support of the group each week.
