Thanks, Patch!!

Hi REC, I'm in Raritan, near Somerville. I also garden and compost and have a worm bed. The dear worms eat all my food garbage. Love' em. But my tomatoes are a little stunted this year. Maybe because I planted them very late. Oh well, I have been telling myself this year, gardening is a hobby, it is for enjoyment, not for getting stressed over...

Everyone, this is how I deal with exercise points. I subtract my exercise points from my daily intake. I usually do about 2 or 3 points worth of exercise on weekdays. I just take them off of the total food points for the day. So since my range was 18-23 (don't know what it is now anymore, working on that), if I ate 23 points and did 3 points of exercise, either I said it was 20 points for the day or if I wanted a 3 point snack I had it. Since I don't do tremendous amounts of exercise (I think I might be underestimating but I think that's safer), it has worked out okay for me. Now, as everyone knows, I'm trying to gauge my eating and level of workout intensity by feeling rather than strictly by the book.

Hey, Chee, I hope you had a wonderful enjoyable vacation! And hope you enjoyed all the good eating too. Remember, this is your life you're living and sometimes we just need to have a vacation all the way around. I'm sure you'll do great back on the WW wagon now that you're back home. Those last 5 or 10 pounds are the killer to get off, but persistence pays off. GO CHEE GO!!

Hi everyone. I've "officially" gone onto Week 3 and entered last week's info so this will be my last week two entry.

Thanks LM, Chee, and Myra for answering my confusion about the banking and activity points. Great advice.

Myra - I'm in a weird excercise stage right now. I used to be (for me) a mega racewalker. And have done 5 Marathons racewalking. But after New York, last Nov., I realized I was beginning to feel really ill from all of the exertion and wasn't enjoying it anymore. The past 6 months, I cut down dramatically in terms of miles, but was doing tougher ones, major hills, etc.

My Weekly routine was: Mon - track, Wed - bike Thur - 45 min hills, and Sat - 5-10 miles. But I was stressing about family and work stuff and put on 14 lbs.

Hence why I desperately need the 12 Week Challenge

Two weeks ago my back gave out and I've done practically nothing excercise-wise except very gentle stretching. I'm hoping to get back to the racewalking routine in a couple of weeks after physical therapy, and then I'm looking forward to using those excercise points.

You and Chee, and LM, and anyone else I missed are Amazons!

See ya'll on week # 3.
