Default on point gain...off point lose?

well my title seems to sum it all up. lately if I track & stay on point I seem to gain. this week I am totally off point, eating healthy but not tracking & definitely eating more than 22pts/day and believe I am down 2 or 3 lbs?!?! WTF? anyone else have this issue?

Have you tried WW Core - no points to count, eat healthy and lose!

I have tried it, but there is not enough structure. PLus I am someone who is often on the road & eating out...doesn't work well when eating out frequently.

I could be WAY off but sometimes our weight changes are behind the times with what we eat. I can eat a huge pile of junk and not see a gain for a couple days or more. Everyone is different though.

Really the only way to tell is a long term trend coupled with tracking everything you eat, no matter if you are on plan or not. You can't really tell what's going to happen in just one week. You have to give it time and look at the big picture. You may be unconsciously eating less while "off" plan, you could be choosing stuff with less sodium thus retaining less water, or eating things that are more filling etc. The only way to see these patterns is to keep track.

You probably need to eat more points a day due to yoru metabolism. So use your APs daily and some of yoru FPs daily to accoutn for that.

My mom and I joined WW early Oct. I have lost a total of 15 lbs. After the second week I stopped stressing over what I was eating but, she continued to stress and write down every thing she put in her mouth and measured everything perfectly. I guess at my measurements.. In the time we have been going she has lost a total of 4 lbs and most of it was lost last week when she quit worrying so much. I believe its about eating healthier and cutting back. But I do wish my weight loss was going a little faster.. I lose 1-2 lbs a week.. I was hopeing for 3-5.

WW only recommends 1/2-2 pounds a week. 3-5 is too fast, so if you are following the programafter teh first week or two that will not happen. You should be very pleased with 1-2. You've done great so far. Remember slow and steady wins the race.
