Hi! Well, I know we are supposed to weigh in on Mondays, but I didn't think of it until halfway through dinner, and I wasn't gonna weigh in then! My usual WI is on Wednesdays, so I think I will have to stick to that. I'm still in the race though!
I think that is the pie recipe I made last year. If so, YUMMO!~ |

Hey ladies...well my meeting is finally over and it went really well. I do have to admit that I ate not on plan today...I am counting the pts but just feel awful about it. No fruits...salad and a potato at lunch so that wasn't too badly...but steak too...just not used to being out of control..I like my nice little planned meals. At least the meetings are very rare.
Anyway....Angie-AWESOME! It's the exercise girl! WOOHOO! I am so excited for you. :carrot: Miss Mccoy: Chin up...you can do this...today I felt the same way, actually this week I have b/c I know I have slipped on some things...I gotta get back on track with writing everything down and not grabbing a candy corn here and there :o Thanks for the recipe!! kuchiegrl1: Hey there...I am a very slow loser...I may not be a good one to ask, but I have lost over a 8 week period or so...I did have a 4 week interuption due to Hurricane Rita...so I take that into consideration. BUT I began working out with a trainer the middle of July and didn't lose a lb until i started WW in late Aug...WW is the answer for me...it works if you work it! Melanie: Good luck on your weigh in tomorrow!! Let us know! :) Melanie and Angie: You guys have been so successful on WW...how about some things you guys live by that have helped you with your weight loss? |
well day two on plan went pretty well. I am hoping that if I stick to the plan that I will start losing weight again. I weigh in on Thursday so I am hopeing for good results.

Marcie,
One thing that helps me is I'm a journaling fool I write everything down before it touches my lips I measure everything use my slider constantly I ask myself alot if having somthing I might belooking at is worth the points, drink all my water, and excercise oh my goodness do that ever make the difference something else I have a before pic of me hanging on my fridge so there is this person look at me that i dont ever want to be again looking back at me when i look in there. if i'm going to eat out i choose subway very filling for the pts that it is i always get a 6 inch sub on wheat turkey and ham then a few veggies and either no condiments or I have regular mustard and some baked chips and of course a diet drink when I eat there something I love bocca burgers they are 1 pt a piece they have a new one called flame grilled and I swear if you like the burger king flavor its a great way to get that taste and not have all the points :) BUT< JOURNAL JOURNAL JOURNAL it makes a huge difference . oh yeah something else I do i used to be awful bout licking my fingers when fixing my son a meal especially the things i wasnt allowed to have that was pre weight watchers but now i keep the faucet running so if i get peanut butter and jelly on my fingers i'm not tempted to lick my fingers i stick them right under the faucet . I baked a cake choclate no less last week with choclate frosting and a choclate pudding center for my hubby thats what he wanted but, i baked it iced it and never tasted it once. I keep telling myself i want to be a skinny mini i want to see my lil boy grow up . marcie how was your weight this week? Bev Your doing great stick to being on plan and excercise and drink that water and you'll do great you already are :) Good luck to all my girls this week hope everyone has a fabulous week and If we dont dont get down hearted we can do this journal stay on plan and move you got to move to lose and you really got to want this to make the plan work for you and ladies what better plan lets you still have those occassional yummy things and not feel bad about it. BIG HUGS to all. C'mon girls lets shed those pounds and feel good about ourselves. We are all beautiful women... |
Angie-Girl you are up early this morning!! Thanks for the great post. Yes I do so much better when I write everything down. I didn't get my quick track this week and haven't had it to write in so I have been writing it on a piece of paper...sounds mental but I write down better in the Quick Track..silly I know. I just ordered the book for Journaling so I will keep it with me all the time....no excuses. Today will be a great day I just know it...I haven't had a day like yesterday since I started WW...I know it was emotional eating...I am guessing it was triggered by the lack of sleep and TOM. Its been a really bad TOM this month and I think it just drained me. Anyway...not a problem..back on track and doing fine. I will be working out with my trainer today so that will feel really good. I will make up my missed exercise day on Sat. My weigh in this week was -2.2 lbs. I don't weigh in until Sat. so I am hoping my day yesterday can be some what salvaged before WI.
Angie is right...girls we can do this and we are beautiful! Keep it up and lets nail those Thanksgiving Day Goals!! Happy Hump Day!! |
marcie
i'm so glad you are having a great day :) I think that is so great you go and work out with a trainer that has to be a great workout having someone to push you along and show you the right excercises to do to help those problem areas. I to am an emotioal eater especially during that TOM I want to eat everything in sight. uggh the joy of hormones. I like journaling in my quick track better to I hate when i forget to pick one up i'll use paper but, its just not the same i like having it all right there my 35 weekly points to check off on the one side my water and milk and fruits and veggies and oils on the bottom to check off and the neat columns to keep me on track. was the journal very expensive? Great job on the 2.2lbs :) you go girl. Well i worked out with richard simmons this morning for 20 minutes then i went to the mall and mall walked with my lil man in his stroller did 2 miles there i'm talking serious mall walking pace :) my scale at home this morning said 172 when I talked to my mom in ohio I am really loving weight watchers and this excercise routine that I have added to my walking is great think its making a world of difference my size 16 are sliding on now instead of squeezing into them its the lil things that make ya feel good things that nobody else notices especially the hubby but, you do. :) So girls lets get out and move today and drink our water and stay on plan. :) Have a great day everyone Angie |
Angie-Yes working with the trainer helps a lot..but I did not start losing until I joined WW. I just wasn't eating the right things..but now with WW and the exercise..its the perfect combination. Great job with your tape and walking at the mall...we are definitely in aggreience (is that a word?) about the exercise! Wow 172 that's awesome...girl I cannot wait to get into the 170's..heck I can't wait for the 190's!! I'll get there though..soon enough :) You are so right about the little things with your clothes. Back in Aug. I came to the realization that I am not a 16 and to quit buying them. I just couldn't admit that was the size I had gotten up to...so I bought some 18's and now they are falling off but the 16's are way too small. Weird huh...so need to get the booty into the 16's so I have something to wear. I did go to Lane Bryant yesterday and splurged on some Seven jeans...they were on sale. But I had to get an 18...my gosh I hope they run small b/c they are a kinda tight 18 yuck! Anyway...I do understand how you feel!! The journal book I bought was about 10.00 with shipping...they were out at my WW location, but I think they are less at the meetings...take a look when you go. Its kinda like one big Quick Track...I think it will really help me!!

Trying to get back on track
Huntersmommy... My son will be 2 November 30th. I think that was the wake up call...look he's 2 and you are still fat. I am looking to try to be at my goal on 4-22-06. I too was on bedrest...for 2 months. Not alot of fun! I also do the walk away the pounds DVDs. A good investment. But tae-bo is awesome if you are looking to challenge yourself.
i can't find my freaking Tae-bo DVD...I only have one, the others are on VHS tapes. which means to tae-bo I must move my daughters VCR into the living room, because I do not have one in there. Whatta pain in the A**! I need to buy one soon. This week has been so weird for me. I just feel so off my game. I’ve been eating my head off regardless that daily I have made a proclamation that I will stay within my target points and not use my flex points...I have eaten into my flex points everyday. I feel bloated. My stomach is definitely bigger than last week and I am asking WHY??? I don’t think I am eating that much more than I did last week...so what’s the problem? Why do i feel so fat? so I can do two things from here...I could quit or I could come up with a plan to solve this problem. My goals Starting weight: 218 current weight: 207 goal weight: 155 I want to lose 63 pounds. I want to be a size 10. I want to be able to run again. I want to feel healthy. I want to feel young. I want to look better...okay I wanna look hot again. I want my risks for cancer and heart disease to diminish. I want to be able to run and play with my kids (and outrun my 7 year old). How I will get there… This week’s goals. Work out 5 days this week 1 UB strength training 1 LB “ “ 1 pilates workout 1 yoga workout 3 cardio workouts at least 30 minutes long 2 ab workouts 10 minutes Stay within TARGET point range...avoid using flex points when possible Plan and prepare meals in advance Eat breakast at home Take 1-a-day weight smart multi-vitamin DAILY. Yesterday’s recap points used:37 flex points remaining for week: 19 Steps: 11622 Workout: 30 minutes basic pilates workout. This is the 9th day in a row that I have worked out. **** week really got me going...I want to take my 2 days off on nights my kids have soccer games. That's Thursday and Friday. Today’s mantra: Be honest with yourself about every bite you put into your mouth! I feel better knowing I have a plan. Yesterday I went ot the dollar store and purchased a journal that fits nicely into my WW books carrier thingy. I had initially thought I would just record my food in it, but it has become so much more. Now I am recording everything in my weight loss diary...it helps because I can’t always get on here. Well off I go, I will try to stop in again before I go home for the day! :eating2: Be honest with yourself about every bite you put into your mouth! :hungry: |
Melody-Looks like you and I are pretty close in stats and in goals. I am at 208 now and my goal is 150. I would also like to be a size 10. I am thinking its a full moon or something b/c I too have been off my game. The journal sounds great...I really need to get one of the WW Organizers for all my books and recipes. My DD turned 2 in May and I looked at her Bday pics from her 1st bday and remembered that I was trying to lose then and now I weigh more a year and a half later. In fact before I started WW I was heavier than when I got pregnant...not a good feeling. Oh well those 8.8 lbs are gone for good and we aren't even going to consider them coming back ever! Plan sounds good...keep up the good work!!
Marcie |
Marcie,
My highest weight was 218...that was 5 pounds heavier than I was when i was pregnant with my 3rd child (my heaviest pregnancy). I know where you are coming from and how you feel. Let's lose some weight and achieve these goals, and never be fat again...I would love to join the maintenance boards here...and to get to be a success story! :goodvibes: I can dream can't I? Part of this accountablity thing is...I need to take better care of myself. So I made an appointment with my rheumatologist (who I haven't seen in 9 months). I need to figure out what is going on with this knee. I also want ot talk to him about what I am doing, and see what he thinks. I really wanna be able to run again, so I want to discuss that with him. There is something really wrong with my knee. I hurt it in a car wreck 3 years ago and then I hurt it again in another car wreck in January. (I have long legs, so when I wreck my knees always get shoved into the dash.) I was suppose to go back to the doctor to have an MRI done if it didn't get better, but I never went back. Stupid me...Now I wish I had done it so that would be one less thing standing in my way. You ladies have a nice day! :) |
melody you have the right attitude :) i know you can do this your goals are great. bed rest is awful isnt it but, I tell you if i had to do it all over again i would to have my miracle here with me. :)
|
gosh woudlnt it be great to get to be on a maintenance board to be able to say i did it. :) it may feel like a dream but, before you know it will be a reality for all of us working so hard to lose that weight :)
|
Wow...great topic...Maintenance Board..yes I would love to become a regular there and then go to the Success Thread and post my before and after pics...that is what I dream of! I love going there and seeing all the wonderful success stories. There are some great ones..of course they are all good...just some I can relate to more than others. Angie-Do you only have one child? I just have my DD. Melody-I believe you said you had 3...wow you are brave. My little one gives me a run for the money..WHEW she is exhausting!!! You'd think I'd be thin running after her...she never sits down.
