Default What should I do??

Because of the cost of WW meetings I have decided to stop going. I never stayed for the meetings because I didn't like the leader at all. He looked as if he hasn't lost any weight and I'm wondering how he could possibly be a leader. He's also very boring and not motivating at all. So as a result of this I decided to do this on my own. I felt like all I was doing was paying money to get weighed anyway. I have all the material from week 1 to 11. There's only one booklet left for me to get. So I decided I would do this on my own and then when I was ready for maintenance I would go back. (I'm Lifetime by the way). I figured I would just weigh myself at home and keep track that way (my home scale is 4lbs. less than WW- I checked). Anyway, I have been going up and down with the same 2 lbs. for a couple of weeks now so now I'm considering going back to the meetings. Does that even matter or is WW just not the right thing for me anymore? I'm planning on going today at lunchtime to a location near my job even though I know when I weigh in I will weigh higher. I weighed myself this morning and I'm 1 lb. higher than my last WW official weigh in. I also always went to the meetings in the morning when I weighed less so I know this afternoon meeting may have me weighing more than the 1lb. I'm expecting. I'm afraid that if i see this I will stop going altogether. What would you do?

I would go to the meeting and WI. You might be higher because of the time difference. But next week it will even out. Could be also that you will like this new leader and that might help you to.

If you find you dont like this one, try and find a meeting that you do like. Also if you want to do it on your own, the WW site now offers an Online thing that costs about as much as the meeting do. So maybe you might want to check that out also.

I would definately go and try the new meeting. Try not to worry about weighing more--you already know you're going to weigh more because it's a different time of day, so don't let it get you down. And if you start weighing in at that time every week, soon it won't matter. There's no sense going back to the leader you didn't like, but it sounds like a meeting would really help you re-focus.

I can't remember where I saw this but I'll try to find it again. They have found that people who attend some sort of support meeting and participate are 50% more successful at losing weight and keeping it off! It was done on a large group of people, not just a few. It was in one of the medical journals recently. Just thought I'd throw that in.

Thanks for all the info. I decided to go to a different meeting all together. While I was 2 pounds higher than where I was last week (from my home scale) I was the same from when I last went to WW so I can accept that. I think the meetings will definitely help me to focus again.
