No ritual. I'm just trying to wear about the same weight clothes from week to week. We're not allowed to take off our shoes at WI -- there's a big sign next to the scale...
Major ritual for me.... meeting is at 9am. Nothing at all to eat or drink before meeting. Wear exactly the same outfit and no jewelry. There are 4 scales but I have to WI on the same one each time.
My ritual - I weigh in after work at 5:30 so no salty food or heavy meals that day and plenty of water. I also discovered that in winter you should wear a tank top under your big sweater so you can take it off before weigh in and never, ever wear jeans!
No jeans, ever! They weigh a ton. And no shoes...socks only.
As for drinking water, I was told to stop 3 hours before WI. Since I WI in the morning that doesn't apply, but for those who do pm WI's, be careful...2 pints of water weighs 1 pound and that can really mess up your WI.
I weigh in the mornins go no breakfast until after wards. Same clothing if possible never, never jeans! I did that once and it was a sad day in muddville..! No bare feet on
our scale so socks or stocking feet only. And I always go to the bathroom right before I weigh in.
Hee hee... I call the restroom at my meeting "the sanctuary," because so many people go in there to "pee and pray" before their weigh-ins. No other rituals for me, other than same clothes each week, nothing to eat or drink before weigh-in (10AM Saturdays), no jewelry or shoes/
since I WI at home I do it AM on Fridays or Saturdays (depending on if I work on Fridays) I have to be naked, gone to the bathroom, and not have had anything to eat or drink. So I basically do it as soon as I decide to get out of bed
Oh I have the same rituals every week... I WI at work at noon so I definately wear the same clothes each week, stop drinking at 9am and hit the bathroom on the way down to the meeting..
When I did traditional meetings, I would not eat or drink before I went and generally wear a cotton skirt and a tank top with built-in bra. And um, no underwear, because that extra 2 oz. could be the ones that really count. Our meeting let us weigh in barefoot with no paper or anything, but this was in NC so I guess we were just dirty, barefoot, rednecks or something.
Now I do WW on-line and weigh in at home. My routine is to weigh in before I eat or drink anything and after I poo (preferably, athough that doesn't always work out the way I want it to) and I just weigh in naked.
The sanctuary! That is absolutely hilarious and right on the mark!
