Default mauvaisroux - C'mere please!

I was reading one of the threads and you stated you don't like W/W Core? I was wondering if you would share why with me?

I don't like it because I truly do not feel satisified on it and I ended up gaining each of the 4 weeks I was on it. I do however 90-95% of the time eat the same foods that are listed as Core foods.

Just curious here.

I don't like core as I have tried it twice now and I just can't stick to it. I need to have the accountability with points or I over eat on core. The program isn't bad it is just not working for me. I guess I don't have the discipline it takes and need the points to keep me in line. I have gained each time I did core.

I don't feel that satisfied either with the foods listed. Also I find it a pain to eat core but then have to track my flexpoints for anything I eat that isn't on the core list.

Sounds just like me. LOL! That is too funny because everyone else who just loves core tells me I am lying or it is b/s. Glad to find someone who is just like me on that point. Makes me feel like not such an outcast.

Kelly- No you are not alone! A couple of people at my WW feel the same way too. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Kwel deal! Now if I could just get my tooth fixed so I could eat something other than soft foods I'd be in heaven. ON my way to the dentist now.

I really can't imagine myself on core. I really think that would be a bad bad thing

I need to have an actual # to stick to with the pts on flex

I find also if I restrict my carbs a bit it also helps
I don't eat a whole lot of bread/pasta/potatos/rice etc

Hopefully some of this will help and I can have a good WI this week

Core...been there done that....more than once.....it's got to be points for me too.
That satisfied/full thingy is not good for me either. I'd rather measure my meal, how ever much and eat the entire thing and count the points....instead of sitting there constantly thinking....ok, am I full now????
I loved Winning Points, Flex was never a favorite of mine, so I count WP way. It's the closest too Winning Pts....just my thougths....

Yes the biggest draw back I see with CORE is not measuring the food. One of the biggest reasons we are all in this mess is not knowing a reasonable portion size. After a year on program I still measure everything. I can't eyeball portion sizes for nothing.

I gained on Core as well... Out of any eating plan I have done, only points has worked for me

Cheers!

Actually I seemed to have lost more on the Winning Points program when I did WW 3 years ago ( I think it was 3 years ago -time flies! ) I like the flex plan but don't really use my 35 points that much - they do come in handy in case of an emergency though

mauvaisroux, so how many points did you use on Winning Points? Other than the fact that W/W made the bottom end 2 points higher the rest of the program is the same on points? Just curious.

I actually don't remember what I started with but I ended with 24 points then ended up quitting.

When I started up again I started with 22 points (which technically would have been 24 on Winning Points). I usually have between 21 to 24 points during the week depending on my day I but don't go hog wild with the Flexpoints.

I rejoined WW (3rd time's the charm ) in June but I am having a slow loss. Personally I think it is because I am very disciplined during the week but the weekends just seem to go to **** in a handbasket. I have no structure, run errands, forget to eat, end up eating unplanned meals. Oh, and by that time the week's groceries have run down and there is nothing good left to eat in the house

I am currently working on getting on an eating schedule for Sat & Sun, changing the way I shop and planning meals for the weekend.

I lost on 123 points, but changed to WP... I am fine with flex though... Weekends are tough for me too... I'll try and save my Flex for sat night.

Good Luck!
