Hi Melody!
I am very new to this - I signed up yesterday. I am 36 mother of 2. I really don't have a lot of will power to lose weight. I live in Sacramento, CA and work in the medical field. So, ant suggestion on how to get stared on some kind of diet would be great.

Howdy Melody & RJ's Mom!
I''ve posted on the intro thread, just thought I'd jump over here and say,"hi".
The reason Weight Watchers is so great is that they teach you the whys and hows of being healthy. It's truly not a "diet", it is a lifestyle. You get to eat whatever "you" like, in moderation. It's really all about making informed choices. Day by Day and sometimes, minute by minute.

Anyhow, glad to see you all and hope we all have something to contribute to this group.
Have a Super Day!-Dora

Greatmom,

I would think just joining here was a great first step. Maybe listing your motivations or coming up with a visual goa would help?

I can imagine how this happened....LOL No seriously I know that I am a food addict it is my drug and I really need to do this for myself and my family! If I am happy with my self then I am sure everyone else will be happy too!! I joined WW and so far I have lost 7 pounds. I set my first goal at 30 pounds, usually I make it that far then I quit so I am determined to last this time and with this website I just think it may be possible!!

I've lost 75 lbs in 8 months on WW, I started close to where all of you started. It can definitely be done if you stick with it! Good luck ladies!

Hey! I just started Weight Watchers 4 weeks ago. I have battled weight all my life (at least what I can remember). I'm 23 and weight A WHOLE BUNCH! I'm in school full time and work full time. Anyway I absolutely LOVE Weight Watchers. It works SO well with my crazy schedule. I have been on almost every other diet.... I even went on the Dolly Parton Diet when I was in the 8th grade. I've done Slim Fast, Atkins, and South Beach. As far as I can tell, Weight Watchers is the best thing that ever happened to me (as far as dieting). I have well over 100 pounds to lose, and I'm positive that I can do it with weight watchers. Gosh, I sound like a big advertisement. Well anyway, I love it.... and I can't say enough good about it.
