hello ww buddies thanks again for your warm welcome, does anyone know how many points the no pudge brownie is and how do you make it and angel food cake with a can of pineapple how many points is that and if i put the angel cake recipe in paper cupcake holders do you know how many points that would be? thanks tina
The No Pudge Brownies makes 15 servings at 2 pts each. The Angel Food Cake with a 20 oz can of pineapple serves 12 at 3 pts each. If you make 36 cup cakes that would be 1 pt each.
The No Pudge Brownie is a mix that you add a carton of yogurt to and bake. If you have a Trader Joes in your area that is the best place to find them. They come in a small white bag with a picture of a pig on the front. www.nopudge.com
No Pudge Brownies have recently changed their package style. They now come in a box (pink, with that sweet little pig and the yellow tape measure around her waist). The brownies are 2 points each when cut into 16 squares (4 x 4, in an 8 inch pan) and can be purchased also at Bed Bath and Beyond, believe it or not. Angel food cakes vary in points, but not by much. Calculate how many points for the whole batch and then cut it into portions accordingly. You can also keep the points down by adding lemon extract, almond extract, or 2 tbs. of cocoa powder, and leaving out the pineapple... Additionally, you can add a well mashed banana (very nice) to the No Pudge and the points it adds are insignificant... Enjoy! :-)
Pillsbury, BC and Duncan Hines 1 step angelfood cake mixes are all the same.....
as is my Fry's/Kroger brand.
Adding 20-ounce crushed pineapple in own juice or 1 can light cherry pie filling or light strawberry pie filling or 1 4-serving box of any flavor sugar free jello yields 12 servings at 3 points.
this is a delicious recipe. What you do is, buy the angel cake mix, and a 20 ounce can of CRUSHED pineapple in its own juice.
1. Drain all the liquid from the can of pine. AND USE IT as the moisture for the cake, instead of the water the box calls for.
2. Mix according to package directions.
3. Gently FOLD in the crushed pineapple, making as even a mixture as you can (the fruit is heavy and wants to sink to the bottom. If you are an accomplished "folder" you will successfully incorporate the fruit nicely into the mixture.
4. Put in an UNGREASED angel cake pan (tube pan w/ removable center if you have it, or a plain tube pan will be fine.)
5. Bake according to directions. Turn upside down to cool completely (or it will sink) and you have a great desssert.
