Talking Flexers weekly chat and support

Would anyone be interested in a daily chat thread on in this area?

That way we have a thread to check into each day and catch up with each other, get support etc.

I can start the first one but whoever is up first in the morning can start the daily one

Great idea, Mauvaisroux!

I can't be here everyday, but probably most days. Is it ok to just start in? If so.....

Here's what's up with me today: I tackled Mount Washmore, (the laundry, lol) and have been working on DD Katie's graduation party details. She's a high school senior whose big day is May 21. She's the baby of the family, so I'm not sure how I'm going to handle this milestone.

Food and water are under control. Will get my walk in after dinner.

What's everyone else been doing today?

Well...I'm going to try out a new WW meeting tonight. My regular leader is away on maternity leave for several months and we have a substitute. I am finding the meetings boring, I'm not getting what I need from them and I have been on a plateau for since January and am not getting any advice or instruction from the current leader.

I am going to see how this new meeting goes, maybe I just need the change of scenery and some fresh ideas to get me going again

I am all for a new thread. Had my WI today and was down 1.5 lbs. Yeah for me! Thank God we have an awsome leader, they really make a difference. Do your leaders pass out "anchors"? Little reminders to encourage you for the week? We have recieved straws (for remembering what the "last straw" was that brought you to WW) popsicles sticks that she wrote "STick to It" on, and cinnamon sticks with a note attached that says "Variety is the spice of life." These are such simple things but I keep them in different places so I stumble on them....they always give me a boost.

I am going to need some major willpower this weekend though...hubby and I are celebrating our 10 year anniversary and are taking a long weekend trip to Pigeon Forge...he is already wanting to know where we are going to eat breakfast at!!

Okay, guess we can start with a weekly chat thread that we can post in whenever we want, just general chat, updates, news, whatever you like etc.

I will start by changing the title of this thread to weekly chat and support and then each Monday we can start a new thread.

Sherry - congratulations on your loss! and have a happy anniversary!

I went to the new WW meeting last night and really enjoyed it. I even stayed for the orientation meeting afterwards with the newbies just to get a refresher.

So today I am starting with a clean slate and had an OP breakfast and packed a new salad for lunch. I made a Greek chickpea salad from one of the WW cookbooks last night and it turned out pretty good. Also my DH is going to do WW with me - nice to have support at home

Hope everyone has a good day today!

Hi ladies-

I go for my weigh in today. I can tell you that I don't think that it will be pretty. I was in Chicago last week with friends and well that says enough doesn't it?? LOL I did go to a weigh in in Chicago and am down 12.2 lbs. in a month!

Here's to hoping the deep dish pizza and alcohol agrees with me!!

Wish me luck, I'll report back after lunch!

Hey everyone--

The last few days I have just been lurking around and reading post. I decided to come out and say hello and introduce myself. I am Monica, 21 y.o, and from Arkansas. I am a legal secretary which means a lot of sitting around and messing with the computer. I hit my highest weight about 2 years ago at 230 lbs. I lost about 56 lbs. from SB and cal counting and then my 21st b-day came around and I was eating out so much to celebrate that I have gained close to 15 lbs. I started WW with counting points on Monday and have lost 4 lbs. Yes I know this is water weight but it still motivates me to stay OP. I really wanna participate here as I hope it will help my motivation even more. Guess that's all I really had to say for now.

Hi everyone, Im doing flexipoints as well so i thought i would join in this little chat thread if thats ok with everyone.

Im on my third day of WW, started Tuesday morning. Havent been strict to the point as such yet but havent been too bad. 22 points plus the extra points seems too much to eat, i cant even manage the 22 points in a normal day. Luckily I do stuff that pumps up the points so it kinda evens out at the end of the day. I cant wait to lose 2 kg so I can go down to 20 points. Sad isnt it!

Hi all,

Sherry - your leader sounds like a true winner!!

Mauv - the weekly, rather than daily, thread sounds like a good idea.

Hello to Rachael, MKuhn, Kim, and Tel8!!

Afterwhile I'll be baking sugar cookies to freeze ahead for DD graduation party. Pray that the BLTs (bites, licks, tastes) don't get me, lol.

Have a good day!

Good morning everyone!

Well yesterday was my first day back on plan and I did pretty good except for the cheese popcorn I had as a t.v. watching snack

Nibs - congratulations on your loss

Welcome Rachael, MKuhn, Kim, and Tel8

Jane - good luck with the cookies - remember " If you bite it, you write it"

Good morning all!
We leave for Pigeon Forge in the morning, and this is the first time in all of my 32 years that I have not packed snacks for the car trip!! I have some apples and grapes that I am bringing, but normally I buy chips, cookies and candy---'cause food consumed in the car doesn't have any calories...right?
Hope everyone continues having a great week.
