  • Thank Goodness it's Finally Friday!!!
    Hello Ladies!

Well, I put OP day #3 under my belt! We even ate at my BIL & SIL's for dinner and I stayed on program! I am working on day 4 with 3 banked points!

Now, the other news... I spoke way to quickly about the health of my maine coon Bart. While I was in the bathroom this morning, he came in and proceded to "show" me his urine... It was crimson red!!! So, it is back to the vet for us.

DH and I have started a preliminary house hunt. From what I have heard, this may or may not be so much fun...

Thin - Wow, you are one busy chick! I just know you can resist that MT popcorn! I am proud of you that your food was good this week, because when you are so busy, it is so easy to eat badly...

Determined - Keep on sending those vibes, because they are a workin'! I am so proud of you that you and your DH were able to get things out in the open with the help of the Pastor. I hope things start to settle down for you now... Hey, Congrats on getting back down into those 250's! I can't wait untill I can get there!

Well, have a good weekend all!

  • HI Everyone!
I know a few of you probably remember me...Just thought I'd drop in and say a line or too...I have been lurking for quite some time now...I posted a few on the countdown to 225, then a few on the 200 in 2001 posts but lately in the past 2 months I haven't posted anywhere. I have lurked and read and kept in touch with all of you silently...and Maggie, I love your emails!

I have stayed OP...next week is week#52 !!! I cannot believe I have followed this for one entire year...

But my work has paid off...last night at WI I hit 91lbs total loss....I am actually fitting into a size 18 jeans comfortably...believe me when I started this and my size 26 jeans were uncomfortable it drove me to where I am today...Last night at our meeting our leader was asking us what the breaking point was for us individually to go to WW...well mine was a couple of reasons but to feel heathlier was the main reason!

My biggest and latest success was yesterday at the Gyno's office..I am on the pill and he always makes me come in every 6months...well he was sooooo proud of me for losing all this weight he said I don't have to come back until next year!!! YAY!!! And....he wrote out a prescription for my goal at WW...so I don't have to try to lose another 68lbs...to get to the unrealistic goal of 144lbs for me...So we set my goal at 185 and believe me I was sooo glad!

    So enough blowing my horn....

Ginamarie...great to see you back...you are doing great...for me the most important thing is to ALWAYS ALWAYS keep trying....it's when I lose track and completely stop that scares me...that's what happened to me this last time and I paid a "Heavy" price... How's your kitty doing?

Geri...Glad to see you are still doing great...even thought I only lurk anymore..you are always giving me inspiration with your posts!!!

Brenda...YOU ROCK!!!! I am only 9lbs away from saying the same thing and makes this all worthwhile doesn't it????

Terri...~*~*~*~*~*~here are some more postive vibes coming your way ~*~*~*~*~*~*~ aside from our weight why does life have to dump on us too? You are handling things fantastically...just keep on keeping on!!!!

Well, I may not get back to you all in awhile..seems I never have too much time anymore and I got the cabash put on internet use at work so that really limits me...but I will read your posts and keep up the great work ladies...you are all a great inspiration!

  • Hello. I don't remember if you folks remember me but I use to post here a few months ago. I was following WW at home and had to stop because I got pregnant. Well I have had the child (a girl -Isabelle) and I am ready to continue with the WW program.

On the plus side I tend to have a smaller appetite when I am pregant so I don't think I gained much weight. I was still able to wear many of my nonpregnant clothes throughout the pregnancy.

I also have a few tools to use this time. I will work out on my Precor for aerobic exercise (it has been about 2 weeks since the birth but I still have to give my body a bit of time before I work out). I also have a WW program on a Palm Pilot which should help with the keeping track and journaling. Lastly I am nursing so apparently I am burning more calories (yes, I know I get more points) although I probably take those additional calories in beverages.

Anyway I hope to join you folks again. I know I will be following this for months and the support found here helps termendously.
  • Good morning ladies! I worked the theatre again yesterday and was able to avoid the dreaded MT popcorn devil once again. Woohoo!!! We did meet some friends for lunch at a steakhouse, but I was good and ordered Salmon. Then we had a burger place to do for dinner and I ordered grilled chicken, so all in all, I did pretty good with food yesterday.

We have a party to go to tonight. A reunion of the old co-workers from DH's job. I also have a steakhouse to do tonight, but I'll probably order the grilled chicken like I usually do. Then I'm off to do the theatre again tomorrow and I another job in between. Busy, busy this weekend.

Gina: Poor Bart! Does he have those crystals in his urinary tract that kitties get??? My first cat got those, but later in life. He was like 5 or 6 years old maybe when he first got them. House hunting SHOULD be fun. I don't know why in some cases it is just the pitts. When we sold our first house, I can remeber going to closing and it was a young couple buying it. It would be their first house. Well, for some reason they had gotten a real estate attorney to handle their end of the closing. It was a nightmare. For them. He didn't know what he was talking about. He had to keep taking OUR broker out in the hall to discuss things he didn't understand. He told his clients (thise young couple) that the terms of their mortgage were terrible and how they should have shopped around, etc. They were terrified. It was the most awful scene. I was thinking, "ya know mister, buying your first house should be so much fun and you're royalling screwing it up for these kids." By the time they got to closing, it was too late to re-negotiate a mortgage rate. So all he was doing was making their life miserable. Sorry, you probably didn't want to hear a horror story now, did you??? I'm sure everything will be wonderful for you.

Patrice: Hey girlfriend. I wondered what had happened to my other Michigan friend. Glad you have been doing soooo well. 91# is awsome!! here's my happy dance for you!!! I wish I could say I've done as well in a year. I'm just hanging out, mostly maintaining. This IS NOT the weight I want to maintain at however so maybe between you and Brenda doing it, I can get some inspiration. Hope you'll stop in from time to time. We have missed you!!

Well girls, I'm off and running. I need to go to the store and find something healthy to take to this party tonight. I'm thinking maybe a crab dip or veggies. What do ya think??? I think I'll go for the crab. You all be good. I'll talk to you when I can.

  • House Hunting Saturday!
    Hi gang!

Well, I've spent the morning with a realtor and got to walk through at least seven houses. Thank goodness I took notes because they are all muddled together. We're going back on Monday to see four again. Makes the head spin.

Gina - Yes, this experience should be fun not the nightmare we've been through. Our nightmare is because we were trying to get a few acres and a manufactured home which we thought should have been reasonable. I've heard that building a house is a horrible experience and I believe it. So we're pumped about where we are looking now because we're staying in town with a regular frame house. So this better go much smoother! Hooorah for your OP days!! Maybe you'll inspire me to get back in gear. I had two great weeks (except Mem weekend) and its been rough the last couple of days. Poor Bart! Sending out little kitty prayers for him.

PatriceK- WOWOWOW 91 lbs if fabulous. Congratulations! Inspiration for us all that it can be done. Keep up all your great work.

BC - Welcome back and congratulations on your baby girl. Love the name. Look forward to hearing more.

    Maggie - Wherefore are thou?

Geri - You make me tired and ashamed for being lazy!! You are so busy that I feel like a slug. But you are doing a great job of avoiding all the temptations. Keep itup! You'll get past maintain soon.

Gotta run. Need to find a present for my sis's birthday and get something to replant the tomatoes to. Then I better get my butt in gear and clean house.

    Have a great day!
  • Just checking in quickly between stops.

BC: Oh my gosh, it's good to see you! I'm sorry I missed your post until I read Terri's response. We must have been posting around the same time this morning and I didn't back up to check. Congratulations on your little girl, and what a pretty name! It sounds like you did real well through your pregnancy and are ready to get back on track. I nursed my boys, of course that was years ago. Enjoy that special time, it will never return once it's over. Hope you'll be back regularly again. We have missed you!

Terri: Well, it sounds like you're having a better househunting experience already. You need to find a place for all those plants and trees you guys bought! Seven sounds like quite and excursion! When we were looking I did up a spread sheet where as I went through each house I could just jot stuff in the right spaces. Like each room was listed so in those squares I could put sizes, # of windows, etc. If the house didn't have a room that was on my list I could just line through it. It was really helpful when trying to keep track of everything you see.

Gotta run. I did decide on crab dip for the party so I need to go put it together. Catch ya later.
  • GOOD AFTERNOON Countdowners
WOW has it been that long since I posted? Sorry people but I did read all you said and ....... OH PATTY you go gitrl - 91 that is a happening in a year. What an inspiration you are along with BRENDA awsome.

BC congratulations on having a little girl. I love the name you picked out for her. I can imagine what a darling she is. Welcome back and it sounds like you are ready to get with the program again.

We have been so busy of late. We are doing some remodeling on our travel trailer. We broke a spring coming through Arkansas last year and are just now getting around to getting it fixed. We just may want to use it sometime.... Some thing inside we want to chage also so now is a good time to get to it.

Have a great evening - and remember I do think of you even if I am not posting - which I know I should be doing. Life is good.

  • Welcome to Motivated Monday!
WOW! Look at all these new options that I have here that I have no idea how to use! The little smiles on the left are very helpful!

So, the weekend was pretty good for me. I stayed OP the whole time, but did end up 5 points over for the weekend. I will try to make up for some of that today.

House hunting has been real easy so far... All we did was look at listings and make phone calls all weekend. Now we wait for the return calls. I am a little disappointed that my phone hasn't rang yet, but it's only 9:30... We are going to try to get an appointment with a mortgage broker this week and see what we can really afford!

Bart is doing OK for now I guess. We brought him to the vet on Saturday and he gave us two more pills that we have to give him. He is getting pretty used to being "pilled", so it is not that big a deal. The medicine makes him tired and hungry though. I hate to see a little baby cat not running and playing. I really hope he gets better soon!

Patty - Welcome Back! WTG on week 52 and that 91 loss! You are an inspiration! I have been doing this for over a year and all I lost was like 30 pounds! Way to stick with it! I am interested in your goal. I also want my goal to be 185, but I am pretty short. Do you mind my asking how tall you are?

BC - Congratulations on that beautiful baby girl with such a beautiful name! I do WW at home too! It will be nice to have you back!

Thin - Another busy weekend. You go girl! I think that Bart has the conditions that cause the crystals and that we are trying to prevent them from forming. Hey thanks for the good idea about the spreadsheet for house hunting! I am going to make one for myself!

Determined - WOW! Sounds like you need a spreadsheet too! Good luck finding something! Thanks for the little kitty prayers. I pray for him too. I hope we can make him better without going bankrupt!

Maggie - Good to hear from you! Have fun with the travel trailer. You are always doing something interesting!

    Well, gotta go...

    Hey! No more spell check?!?
  • GOOD EVENING Countdowners

Isn't this fun - we can now type in color. My favorite color ink is green.

I went to WW to day after no meeting last week I showed a gain of .8. I was surprised for I truly expected more.

I have to get off this machine for we are getting a whopper of a lightening storm.

All you wonderful people have a great evening.

  • Wake up and smell the coffee Tuesday!
    Good morning gang.

Just had to try posting with the clickable smilies.

    And color too!

Drats!!! If you hit the escape key you wipe out your paragraph.

Its been a hectic couple of days. No time to plan food nor exercise. I know we have to find a house but DH doesn't understand that I'm the one who loses because I get further and further behind in everything. We did spend all evening looking with the realtor. Three were eliminated; two added and one of them eliminated so we're down to a different top two than we had to start!

I better get busy on my paperwork this morning since that's one thing I'm behind on.

Have a great OP day ladies and be strong!
  • GOOD MORNING Countdowners

I like that - wake up and smell the coffee Tuesday! AH the nice aroma of a good cuppa.

TERRY that is becoming quite a chore finding a house. Don't forget to breathe.

We didn't get that storm that was predicted which is fine with me. The sun is out and the birds are twitterpated and I am going to have an OP day.

All you ladies have a great day! Make it a nice OP one.

  • Hello

Well things sure have changed here, I think I like it.
It has been quite a week for me, I've been over my point all but one day this week. I must be crazy.

A very good friend on this site told me to let it go, so I will follow her great advice and go on from here. I get weighed tonight and I will just pay the price and have a much better OP week.

Hope everyone is doing great, and I sign in tomorrow and post my weight Gain/loss whichever it is

    Take care everyone
  • I like to call it Choose to Lose Tues!
    Well hello everyone!

I ate over points by one again yesterday and tonight I am going to Red Lobster with a friend for my birthday (it's on Thursday). So who knows where I will end up tonight. Actually, I have my points for Red Lobster in my bag so I can at least some frame of referance for what I am eating...

Bart still has blood in his urine. The doctor said it would take a while for the medicine to take effect, so I am not that concerned yet... He would not eat his food with the diarreah medicine in it, so we have to put it in all the cat's food now. Boy are they mad, but it is the only way I know Bart is getting the much needed medicine.

So far Brian and I are seeing two houses this week. I don't know why I am not loaded with showings like Determined is. I have called this realtor that my mortgage broker recommended to me like 4 times already and nothing! They have all the good houses in the area that I want to look in too! So, we will start with the two for now...

Maggie - WTG keeping the gain to a minimum. I love electrical storms, as long as they are not too close!

Determined - Keep up the good hunt and try to take a breath once in a while...

Canadian - Hey, at least you know that you were not on program. Better than not thinking about it at all... tomorrow is my WI day too. I guess we will see what the scale has for us both...

Well, enjoy the rest of the day...
    G
  • Hey girls, what's up??? I've been working my tail off this past week and weekend and then when I did have time to get in here, the boards were down. Argh!!!

Opted for the water at the party, I was a good girl. Lost 1/2# this week at WI. Not great, but better than going in the wrong direction!

Maggie: Sounds like you're getting the trailer ready for a trip. Going somewhere fun????

Brenda: Just let it go. You have done soooo well, there's bound to be a little slip here and there. Just get back to it. You'll be fine.

Gina: Hope that Bart is holding his own again. Sounds like there's something not quite right with his innerds. Maybe a birth defect Good luck with the house hunting.

Terry: Sounds like house hunting is keeping you very busy. Hope you find something real soon that meets your needs.

Gotta run. The rental car company called and the rental I'm driving has been sold and I have to go exchange it for another vehicle. The dealership has my van again, just can't figure out what's causing the doorlocks to unlock all by themselves. Talk to you all soon.
