FAVORITE FORM OF EXERCISE: racewalking, it started as just sloooow walking 5 years ago, and now I've done a few marathons, and don't feel right if I don't do the "walk" 3 x a week. But, that's it. No gym, no trainer, no nuthin'

WHAT IS DIFFERENT THIS TIME THAT WILL MAKE YOU (AND MADE YOU) SUCCESSFUL: This time I got a good look at myself and it scared me. I'm not a kid and the added weight and lack of any muscle tone made me look like a hag. I was miserable but convinced I could not do it on my own. I didn't have to! And still don't. The WW system and the support from this site continue to direct and redirect me.
I like the way I look, feel, hold myself, appear to others. So does my hubby! . It's really me that's steering the ship this time. What's the difference? I WANT IT. I'M DETERMINED TO KEEP MYSELF ON TRACK.
WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST PROBLEM IN WEIGHT LOSS: Portion control and giving in to taste sensations. I get such a brain freeze when I'm stressed or upset. Even after almost 4 years I fall back into old habits. The difference this time is that I catch myself sooner and get back to basics.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO TO CELEBRATE SUCCESSES:
Still a tough one for me. Sometimes I buy a special outfit, but shopping is not my thing. I've bought books. But recently I think I want to include treats relating back to my artwork??? Still have to give this more thought.

Okay, I want, and need to join in. Many stresses in my life have pushed me off program. I have gained almost 9 pounds back. I am going back to a meeting on Friday, but will start program tomorrow. This seems like a really nice group of folks. Nice to be with others who understand. Hope I can help support and motivate others as well.

WHAT IS DIFFERENT THIS TIME THAT WILL MAKE YOU (AND MADE YOU) SUCCESSFUL: Think of this as living life in a healthy way, rather than a way to diet my way to a smaller size.
WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST PROBLEM IN WEIGHT LOSS: I have several medical conditions which severely limit my diet and my exercise options. I generally cannot eat whole grains, most fruit, many spices and additives, and generally anything that tastes really good! Much too much refined carbs, like white bread and white potatoes are a mainstay of my daily diet.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO TO CELEBRATE SUCCESSES: Hmm, I'll have to think about that. I sure like smaller sized clothes.
